H I S T O R Y : Being the 7th Daughter of the 7th Daughter isn't what its cracked up to be. According to Mom (don't ask Dad, he really doesn't like to talk about it), there's magic on both sides of the family. A lot of magic. Mom is a kitchen witch, or so she calls it. I think there's more to it then that. But she always knows the right things to say, the perfect cup of tea or sweet to soothe an upset mind. All of my sisters have a touch of that, Marcie the most, she's been attached to Mom's hip forever, learning all she can and when I was little, well, I was attached to Marcie's.

But then I started to see the glimmers. Shimmers of light that danced into visions of people, of places that used to be. The more I talked about the glimmers the more Marcie seemed to get mad and the more Dad said that there was no magic in our family. It got so bad that he had me seeing a doctor about it. Mom tried to calm him down but it didn't work. The word got out in school that I saw things and that I was seeing a doctor... not the best way to make friends and influence people.

And this was all before High School.
