~*~After Dr. McFarland relayed the information about Vesta now turned into a rat due to blood mixture, Vesta laid in the bed, thinking. Jessica knew of folks that were rats, and she said Vesta would not be alone in this, and they would be there to guide her through this new, dramatic change in her life. At least she knew one of them, and that was Theo, her boss. She was already comfortable around him. So maybe, if the others were like him, she would be more at ease and comfortable, too.~*~
~*~Her mind was racing; what if her family found out? All her cousins, uncles, and aunts? Should she tell them? Would they disown her? What about the media? When she was published in Ink magazine and they wanted to catch up with her and do another article, would they find out and blast it? What about Frank? He knew that his bandmates were lycanthropes and he's still around them, but what if he reacted differently because she was human like him, and now she's not? What kind of rat would she turn into? One of those ugly, sewer rats or a cute mouse? A lab rat? Would she remember turning into a rat once a month and what she did as said rat? This was making her exhausted just thinking about it.~*~
~*~They moved her from the ICU and into her own room. Good thing it had a TV and a remote connected to the bed. Otherwise, her mind would be her sole entertainment, and that's not really good. She turned on the TV and clicked it to MTV. Too bad they didn't have Uranium where she could watch nothing but metal bands, but MTV would have to do for now. And it was the new episodes of Bevis and Butthead. Thank God!! She hated those stupid reality TV shows. Jersey Shore...disgrace to mankind.~*~
~*~About half an hour later, she was bored again. So she picked up the hospital phone and called Frank. Maybe he could come by and visit her. Maybe the other rats will, too. One of them was the one that caused this anyways, not watching where he was running to. Would be decent if he stopped by and apologized, though she doubt that would happen.~*~
Frank forgot to call Vesta back. After getting the message he'd headed out and made a few stops before arriving at the hospital. He knew hosptials pretty well, had been in plenty of them, and it didn't take him long to locate a nurse's station and to ask where Vesta's room was. Thankfully, visiting hours were still open.
He had tried to come visit while she was in the ICU, but no one but family had been allowed, so he figured he'd just wait it out.
Anyway, he knocked lightly on the door before poking his head in. "Hey, Vesta." He slipped further in and nudged the door shut behind him. In one arm he had a vase of wild flowers. "Sorry I didn't come sooner.. I mean, I did, but they said only family and stuff."
Frank slipped further into the room and found a table to put the flowers on. He found a chair and pulled it closer to the bed so she wouldn't try to get up or anything. "How're you doing? You look pretty good." Not like he usually did when he was hospitalized.
At the moment he had on a pair of worn and faded jeans and a sweater layered over a t-shirt or two.
