(Astridmun, since we've had some trouble getting our schedules synched I thought we could start play on here.)
= The hotel that Jessie was staying in was nice enough for a temporary residence. He had a little place of his own out New Mexico way, but he hadn't been there in years so hotels and motels had been more home to him than anyplace else. The miniature suite had a small living room, a bedroom, and a kitchen that made it impossible to cook anything more complicated than popcorn. Not that cooking was a high priority for him.=
=He had given Astrid his address over the phone and let the woman at the front desk know that he was expecting a visitor. Jessie had been working for Viktor Haven for several years and had found the mans employers to be very diverse so he had no idea who to expect at his door. When a knock sounded at the door he paused a moment in front of a mirror to run fingers back over his pompadour and steel his nerves for whoever this might be.=
=Pulling open the door he knew immediately that Astrid wasn't a vampire or a shifter, but what she was he couldn't quite tell. Wide hazel eyes looked over the small blonde in his doorway and he couldn't quite hide the expression of disbelief on his face. Whatever he might have expected, this wasn't it. He had expected something that could take on an iron tank and win. Having only seen the twins from a distance he failed to see how this tiny human creature could do much against them.=
"You're Astrid?" =Swallowing down the initial disbelief he shook his head and held out a hand to her.= "Pardon me ma'am, I was just expecting....somethin' different. Come on in."
=He shook her hand lightly and then stepped back to hold the door open so that she could come inside. With his back pressed against the door he waited until she was inside before he closed the door behind them. The room was fairly small, enough that it wouldn't take Astrid long to find her way into the living area. Jessie motioned for her to take a seat.=
"May as well make yourself at home while we talk. Can I get you something to drink? Or something to eat?"
=He would have to order food from room service but that wasn't a problem. Personally he had no use for human food, but he did have a fully stocked bar in the room in case she wanted something to drink. Moving towards the wall that housed the small wet bar he pulled down two glasses and poured a double shot of whiskey into one for himself. The second glass was used to make whatever Astrid asked for.=
"Maybe it'd be easiest for me to fill you in if you tell me exactly what it is that Viktor wants you to do. And uhm.....why it is that Viktor might think you'd be valuable for this kind of job. I mean, no offense ma'am but you don't look like you're gonng be wrestling these boys to the ground and hogtying them onto a train bound for New York if ya know what I'm saying."
=Carrying the glasses over to the couches he handed Astrid hers and then sat in the chair closest to her. His own glass of whiskey was brought up to take a long swig of whiskey that burned as he drank it down. All the while he kept his hazel eyes on Astrid, falling occasionally to the papers she had with her, possibly things that Viktor had sent to her.=
( I think that is a lovely idea since we seem to keep missing each other ..)
~ Slowly the black Lincoln would pull up in front of the hotel which Jessie had giving her the address for. Taken a deep breath to relax some as Rex her bodyguard would come around the car to open her door for her. Then would hold his hand out to take hers gently in his. A small nod of her head was give to him. ~ " Thank you Rex. "
~ Rex then would shut the door and made his way toward the drivers seat so he could park the car.So while he was doing that she made her way into the hotel walking over to the front desk as she untie her coat as she spoke softly to the women behind the counter ~ " Hello , yes I'm here to see Jessie Mcarty room ( enter room number here ) "
~ The women would nod lightly before speaking to her ~ " Yes he is expecting you ..so go right on up .." ~ Astrid would give a nod of her head before making her way to the elevator before pushing the button lightly. Finally arriving on his floor she steps out placing the folder underneath her arm as she stepped in front of Jessie door an lightly knocking. Dress in a white off the shoulder blouse, and a pair dark blue slim fitting jeans that hug her petite frame perfectly and a pair of black three inch ankle boots. Blonde hair hung loose around her shoulders as her honey color orbs dance along the hall to make sure no one was following her. ~
~ A smile would creep over her lips once the door of the room was open at the expression on Jessie face was show. But also made sure to keep her eyes low either looking at his nose or his chin. Being who she was her shield was tightly up making sure not to leak a drop of her energy/power to make sure she pass as being human for the time. Making her way into the room she looked around an slowly made her way over to the couch to take a seat ~ " I would love something to drink thank you. A glass of wine would be fine for now. "
~ Sitting the folder on her lap as she listens to Jessie began to speak about why she was here in the first place ~ " Well Viktor want me to bring the twins back to New York along with you..and that you know the steps in me for meeting them. But that is all the information I know unless Viktor left something out when I spoke to him. But also I might look like a little human on the outside but I'm not just a human. "
~ She let her shield leak open some letting her power reach out and tickle his senses a bit . She was a witch. She wasn't a evil person but she also wasn't totally a goody good either. Handing the thing that Viktor had send her to Jessie for him to look over so he knew what he needed to inform her on. ~
=Jessie took the folder that Astrid passed to him and gave her a nod of thanks. Flipping open the cover he started to look through what was inside. As usual he saw that Viktor had been less than forthcoming with information. The folder included some pictures and a bit of basic information. Just as Jessie was turning to the last page he felt that whisper of power from Astrid that let him know she was more than a mere mortal. He'd expected her to have some kind of mystical attributes since Viktor wasn't known for having much to do with humans, but the feel of her was still strange.=
"You'll have to excuse my curiousity there hon, but I think I need to know what it is you're packin' there." =Trying to speak more plainly he added,= "Why don't you tell me exactly what it is that you can do and maybe that'll help me understand what the best way is for you to get those twins to come with you to New York."
=Glancing down at the last page in the folder he closed it and set it aside on the end table. Fingers reclasped around his glass as he lifted it for another stiff drink. He had a feeling he was going to need more than a few of them to get this job done. About now he was wishing he hadn't asked Viktor to leave him in New Orleans, maybe then he wouldn't have to send this girl off on such an impossible mission.=
"Whatever powers you got these guys got better, I'll tell you what. So I can't imagine that Viktor expected you to go on the offensive with this. There's this human that spends a lot of time with the twins, I think talking to her might be your best bet. She seems to have some influence with them, and your powers might work better on her than on them. Best case scenario is that you can win her over and convince them to go with you. Worst case scenario, the human can't influence them and we try another method."
"Wait a second and I'll give you some information on her."
=Jessie shrugged as he took another drink of whiskey and then stood up to move towards the small desk at one end of the room. Raising the screen of his laptop he powered up the computer and waited for the system to open. He had taken several surveillance photos for Viktor as well as collecting information on the people the twins spent time with. That was how he'd found out about Natasha, and followed them to Marius's. Jessie had spent a long time compiling this information, he just hadn't realized the tidbits about the young human would ever be of use.=
"Her name's Zoe Girard." =Hitting the print button he heard the small machine in the corner of the desk whir to life. A few papers were compiled in the paper well and he picked them up and carried them over to Astrid.= "You might want to start by befriending her and seeing if you can find out what her relationship is to the Twins, then you can see about getting her to talk the twins into coming to New York with you."
~ Astrid would take the glass of wine which he had pour for her before handing over the folder. Letting her lips touch the rim of the glass taken a sip of the liquid. Then would watch his reaction to her slowly letting her power leak. Seeing his reaction she give him a nod of her head ~ " Well I'm a witch with a few other abilities which might get the Twins interested in me which I'm clairvoyant,telemetric and telekinesis. But my witch craft gives me the control over the elements..but also spells and speaking with spirits are part of my work. "
~ Once she gave some information about herself to Jessie she would listen to him about what he has learn about the twin . She would nod some at the mention of a human girl which the twins seem to have a interested in and that she might be the way to get to them. Watch him get up and move to his laptop as he print off some papers for her. Letting honey color orbs dance over the information and looking over the picture of her. Looking up to Jessie ~ " So does this girl have any place she hangs out often at ? But also if the girl doesn't work we will need something else to get them interested in going to New York. But for now I think this might work. Maybe you can dig something else up while I work on her? "
"Oh Viktor has the incentive to get them there, that's not the problem. The problem is getting them to go there in a calm and orderly fashion instead of them going there with our heads in a basket if ya catch my drift Miss Astrid."
=He truly hoped that she did because Jessie was none too fond of the idea of having his head in a basket or anywhere else for that matter besides where it currently rested. Sitting down across from her again he picked up his glass from the end table and took a quick sip of the whiskey. He gave her a moment to look over the information that he'd given her before continuing.=
"I've got her home address there, place is just crawling with supes so you'll wanna be careful. To tell you the truth though I didn't collect much on her because she didn't seem that important until recently." =Common vampire mistake. They always tended to overlook the humans.=
"Viktor has an old acquaintance of their's. A Miss Natasha Blood. If Viktor's right, and he usually is, then they'll want to come find out what she's doing there. It's a sort of a deal you see. They want something from her, Viktor has her and he wants something from them, so I think he's hoping to make some kind of a trade. But the less they know going into things the better. It'd be a far cry better if you could talk them into going by making them believe you had some kind of vision or something."
=Sipping at his whiskey he thought he'd be pretty glad to have this whole matter put to rest so he didn't have to worry about it anymore.= "Anyway, you start on the girl, and if you need anything you just call me. I'll do the same if I get word from the boss."
~ Astrid would take another sip of the wine within her glass as she gave a nod to Jessie ~ " Well I don't think my head in a basket would be very helpful either. So I will try not to have that happen. Nor will you have to worry about that .." ~ She would look up at Jessie when he mention that was supernatural being there at the address where the girl lived. Placing the paper down on her lap as she thought...about that. ~ " Well hopefully they won't get to suspicious of me ..since I'm pretty good at shielding myself to pass off as human. "
~ Slowly Astrid would lean forward to place her glass on the table. Before smiling at Jessie ~ " That's ok..I will dig what I can up about her when I get to interact with her . "
~ She would place the information he had giving to her about her into her folder with the rest of them ~ " Well I have your number so if I find out anything I'll contact you .."~ She would dig into her folder pulling out a card with her cell number but also the phone number for the phone that Viktor had gave her. ~ " Call me at the number on the bottom if you can't reach me at that number try the other.."
=Rising from his chair Jessie reached over to take the card that she offered him. Looking the information over quickly he then slipped the card into the back pocket of his jeans. As soon as she left he planned on inputting the information to his phone's address book, but for now it would be fine.=
"Sounds like a plan to me. Let me know what you find out."
=Showing Astrid to the door they said careful goodbyes and he wished her luck. He knew Viktor had high hopes about this mission, but he wasn't so sure about it himself. Still doubting didn't help anyone so while Astrid was checking on Zoe he would keep watch on the twins movements. That way they could move on them when the time was right.=
