=After he dropped Lorissa off at the Hookah he'd been floating on a cloud at the thought of seeing her again.  It had been a long time coming, this chance to actually spend time with the woman who had occupied his mind since leaving Hawaii.  On one hand Jessie lived in a world of power plays, blood, and death, but Lorissa made him feel alive again in a way that he had forgotten.   He wanted to make her feel alive as well.  A few days after they saw one another by the Ole Miss, and a few days before their appointed date night, he sent her a bouquet of colorful flowers.  The note attached was simple.=

Lori,

These flowers aren't nearly as beautiful as you, but I hope that they brighten your day.  Looking forward to seeing you again.

Jessie

Lorissa had been spending the few days since seeing Jessie busy working at the Hookah, but almost everyone noticed a few subtle changes in the little pixie. She didn't yell nearly as much, and even when she did, her words held less of a biting sting than normal. The smile that played upon her lips at just the thought of the night they had shared, or their upcoming date was something bedazzling and completely genuine rather than the pleasant facade that she had in place most of the time.

The day the flowers arrived the tiny goth girl had actually gone out shopping in anticipation of the weekend, when she would see the suave vampire again. She'd gotten new everything! A new pair of black satin gloves that stopped just at her wrist, a matching necklace and earring set of moonstones set in silver, fishnet stockings, because she had to throw her own little flair into the affair, and a pair of calf-high high-heeled suede boots. The finishing piece of course, was the little black number she'd found and absolutely fell in love with. It had pretty beading across the bodice and a little ruffle at the hem.

When she walked into the loft, purchases in hand, she stopped when she saw the flowers waiting for her. A midnight brow lifted and she dropped the bags to the floor, quickly walking over to the bouquet and taking the card. Blue-green hues read over the note quickly, soaking in every word before giving a small gasp. Lillies were her favorite flower, and that he'd gotten her such a beautiful arrangement moved her almost to tears. It was saying a lot for a girl who never really cried. Leaning over, she inhaled deeply of the mixed fragrance, and then picked up the assortment in one hand, returning to grab her bags in the other. She had the perfect place to put the flowers, oh yes! They were going on the night stand right next to her bed.
