Karma had been so busy with helping Miss Cypress out with her new store.That she didnt notice how much time had passed. Hell she had even missed Halloween..Which from what she heard from some of the locals...Was something was a big thing. Oh well maybe next year. Laying her head against one of the many boxes spread out around her she would close her eyes. Maybe she even fell asleep. Had it not been for the snow white queen, Cypress, she would of slept there. But the woman insisted that Karma go home. So with promises that she would finnish cleaning and organizing everything in the morning she left.
Sleepily Karma made her way to the corner deli and grabbed a few sandwhiches to drop off for Tommy and Knox. They were on sentenal duty. She really didnt stick around to long. Though she wanted nothing more then to curl up in the back seat of the knox mobile and sleep. But while Karma would be content doing just that she would rather go home and curl up with the king or Mags...Kissing each ones cheek Karma rode her bright red Vespa home.
Saddily the ride woke her up and finding neighter Mags or Milo.,..Or hell anyone was to be found Karma made her way into the basement and towards Alex's room. She missed when they shared the room back at the black house..Back before she found Milo or Knox showed up. Back when it was just them.Taking a deep breath when she got to his room she would knock on his door.
'"Alex? You home?"
Uhg. Stuppid Carmalita! She could feel him..Smell him. Even the naked rat knew he was here.
Things had been NUTS for Alex lately, and for the Killjoys in general. They'd actually gone on a small tour, the opening band for another group and they played up and down the east coast before coming back to roost in New Orleans, to play B&B and all the local venues. On Halloween they'd hosted a huge bash at a small venue, not only because it was Halloween but because it had also been Frank's birthday.
Considering the whirl-wind of the last couple months, Alex had been particularly reclusive when they were home. He hadn't actually left the rat house in a week or so - hadn't budged after the Halloween show. He was fucking tired, man. He was actually curled up in his awesome bed, drawing, when he heard a knock at the door.
"Karma?" he perked up some. "Come in! It's not locked and I'm not naked or anything."
Just in case, you know, she'd been worried about it.
That actually was one of Karma's worries. No matter how long she lived with Milo and Knox nudity was well one thing she'd never get used to. Nudging the door open she would peek in at Alex. Sure she could smell or whatever to see if anyone else was around...But well she was still more human then animal wasnt she?
A slight blush still on her cheeks. Ya know the whole image of Alex naked and all. Funny that dispite the fact that the rodere had Remi and Mags..She kinda still was the only girl really..Cause those two were well...Nothing like Barbie...At all. Anyways Karma would always be strange. Just the way things were.
Looking around to see if Theo was around she moved towards the bed. Curling up beside him.Nuzzeling her nose against his cheek. In honesty outside of Sleeping Knox and Tommy, Alex was the only one that Karma was freely affefctionate with...At least phsyically. Which was weird.
"How was your Tour? Im sorry I couldnt go."
Those black eyes met his. She really had wanted to go. But Cypress's had the store to open and after all the Harmon witch had done for her...Karma wanted to see the dream of Cypress happened..Besides maybe she could try and find magics of her own..If that ever could happen.
Alex offered her a sleepy kind of smile when she poked her head in, then followed with the rest of her. "Hey Karma." He leaned and nuzzled and kissed her cheek when she climbed into bed with him. He still thought Karma was pretty awesome, even if she looked way different now than when he'd first met her.
Theo was nowhere to be seen, and it was likely he was eithe with Mags or... somewhere else. Who knew. Alex grinned when she mentioned the tour.
"It was really fucking awesome, actually. I mean, it's not like we were the headlining act or anything but it was still just.. Yeah. Yeah it was really great. And it's okay, I know you had stuff going on, right? Next time." Because he was determined there would be a next time, lots of them. "Sorry I've been a little scarce since I got back... Was just really tired and all. I feel like this is the first break I've had in a while. How are you?"
He set his sketchbook aside and wrapped his arms Karma, then flopped sideways, dragging her down to cuddle. Hopefully she wouldn't mind.
She almost squrimed and ran when his arms came around her...You could hear it in how fast her heart was slamming against her chest..Calm down Carmalita. she would repeat over and over in her mind until she could melt against him.
" I missed you alot. " Even as she said this she had to nod to show how much she ment this. Tiny fingers would pick at those small fuzz balls that tended to gather on spots in the blanket that was well worn. Leaning her head against her arm Karma would smile. "but I kept busy. working in Miss Cypress's shop. I love it. I miss her Aunts. This helps ease what happened in Hawaii."
Karma almost never mentioned to that hell on earth. Or how she spent the witches final hours writing and memorizing every spell the two ever Used. Not to mention making the potions and such for the show down with Pele. Only Knox knew of the nightmares that haunted her still. Looking down she would sigh.
"Miss Cypress wants me to make a trip to Salem to visit a shop my Sera owned. Something about a book...Think you would like to join me?"
"Glad you kept busy. Probably good for you," he quipped. Alex stayed nice and relaxed, giving Karma a chance to chill out too. He'd never mess with her or make her uncomfortable - she was kind of awesome, so, yeah. He just felt weirdly comfortable with her.
"Salem? Like Massachusetts?" He shrugged. "Sure, I'd be down for a road trip. Can we stop in New Jersey to see my mom? Or are we like. Flying?" Alex hated flying but he could handle a couple hours on a plane if that was the only option.
