Brooklyn really felt like a real shit for leaving Rodrigo the way she did the other day at his place, so she felt it was necessary to call the jaguar and make it up to him for her immature and insecure behavior at his place. She picked up her cell phone to call Rodrigo, and the phone just rang until it hit his voice mail. So Brooke left him a message.
"Hi Rodrigo. I am so sorry for the other day. I still owe you a song, so if you wanna hear it, I can make it up to you. Thanks for the message, and the massage, even if I didn't want to hear it. You were right." Then she pressed call end. Hopefully the jaguar would respond.
Her call wasn't so much expected, as it was anticipated. Her reaction to his words were expected, as most of her age (and not just in human years, but in experience as a lycanthrope) often reacted in that same way. Denial, Sorrow, Resentment, then Anger. It was the usual path of emotions, and one he had seen first hand all too many times. Not always did they make it to the next stage, but it was good when they did.
Acceptance.
The first step to the road of recovery is admitting the problem. Now, of course this method was often used with people that had an addiction, but it still applied to the less severe demeanors of one's personality.
Rodrigo would pick up the phone, and call back, but only after adding her phone number to his cell's directory. It was all up to her now, to answer.
Brooklyn's phone went off as she was putting on a new pair of cork wedges on her feet at Fredericks of Hollywood, on her shopping trip to the Rivers Edge Mall with Magdalene and Theo. She answered it, checking the number first to see if it was Nicky, or one of the girls from her band but it wasn't.
It was Rodrigo. "Hallo. this is Brooke." she said cheerfully into the receiver, her bags gathered in her other hand. "Rodrigo?" she said, "I'm really sorry about the other day. I was kind of not myself, and I want to apologize for my behavior. Maybe tomorrow I can come over and sing for you to make up for my ...outburst?"
She couldn't do it currently because she was in Metairie, with Theo and Mags, and the woman was shop til ya drop. Plus Brooklyn needed help with her wardrobe, and Mags was priceless as far as that was concerned. "Let me know if you want me to come over, at a time convenient for you."
He nodded and nodded. Though of course, such would not be seen. "It's quite alright señorita. I have dealt with this behaviour before, so it does not startle nor offend me. I merely wish to help. By all means, come on over as soon as you can, and we can chat, and you can sing if you wish."
Of course, he hadn't even finished with his massage either, but he wouldn't press that so much, because what really mattered was helping her deal with her issues. And he would do that to the best of his ability.
