Brooklyn's starting a girl band called Broken Monday, and is looking for players willing to be her bandmates, Brooklyn is the lead vocalist and lead guitar, but often just does vocals. Here is what I'm looking for:
1. Orianthi Panagaris: or "Orianthi" was born on January 22, 1985 in Adelaide, Australia. She learned to play the acoustic guitar at age 6, started playing electric when she was just 11 and started writing songs and performing at the mature age of 15. Orianthi had the opportunity to meet Carlos Santana when she was 18 in her hometown. Carlos invited Orianthi to get up and jam with him during the soundcheck then asked if she would join him on stage later that night.She has played with Prince and toured with Steve Vai. She played at the Eric Clapton Crossroads Guitar Festival and also appeared at the 51st annual Grammys with Carrie Underwood where she was Underwood's lead guitar player. Not bad for a young girl who picked up a guitar at a young age, worked hard, found a mentor and never quit! Personality: Outgoing, friendly, loves to shop.
2. Hirumi Kei Kagasaki- AKA Kiki, Nintendo. Bassist, she is from Oklahoma City via Tokyo, Japan. Influenced by Evanescence, Duran Duran, Nirvana, Pearl Jam among others. Age 22. Asked her parents for her first guitat at 8, started playing bass when she was 11. Has met her idol and styles herself after the famous bassist, John Taylor, from Duran Duran, because of the smooth and challenging bass lines. Has played in the band Echoes of Time, as a bassist. Her personality is spunky, a jokester, and she loves Hello Kitty, Bleach and other anime/manga.
3. Charity Lisbeth Beckham- AKA Queen Elizabeth, Bend It Like Beckham, Becks. Drummer for the band Broken Monday, she hails from London, England. Some of her influences were Dave Grohl from Nirvana, Tommy Lee from Motley Crue, Alex Van Halen, Phil Collins, Matt Cameron, and Stewart Copeland. Age 25. Got her first set of drums for her birthday at age 4 and never stopped growing and developing her skills, much to the chagrin of her family. Her personality is very outgoing, and she brings out the best in others by being the optimist of the band. Hilariously funny, and doesn't take shit from anyone.
4.Nicole Monday- AKA Nicky, Manic. Keyboardist and Background Vocalist. She hails straight from the Garden District of Nawlins, Louisiana. Her influences growing up were Mike Lindup from the band Level 42, Nick Rhodes from the band Duran Duran. She is 25 years old. Started off playing piano at age 5 and graduated from the ivories to a Yamaha synthesizer at age 10, and she only gets better with time. Her personality is a bit more reclusive, but she has a hidden side that comes out when she lets herself get to know someone. Sarcasm rules with Nicky.
I'm kind of with Steven-Maker-of-the-Awesome-Signatures! It's a cool idea, hope you find some peoples to play it, but myself I'm pretty terrible at playing things that don't start in my own brain. Tee hee.
