H I S T O R Y :
Vesta Ormond was born and raised in the small, rich town of Destrehan, Louisiana. Her parents owned Ormond where many rich families live, and football players from the Saints football team. She was raised in a large, three-story house, and received everything she ever wanted, being the only child in a family that considered to be "old money." Growing up was normal; she attended Ethel Schoeffner Elementary for grade school, Harry Hurst Middle School for middle school, and Destrehan High School for high school. Her parents never placed her into private schools; they believed she would develop her own personality and many friendships that did not always pertained to how much money other families had. From middle school throughout high school, she was captain of the cheerleading squad, and voted most popular and beautiful every year, and won Prom Queen her senior year. She was picture perfect, and thought that nothing could go wrong.
It was the night of prom, and her parents waved her off in that beautiful, black diamond dress before they went out as well. While Vesta was dancing the night away, her parents were celebrating their anniversary a night early in the city. After heavy drinking, they decided to rent a romantic cabin further south of the city. The cabin was beautiful; large California King size bed covered in Egyptian cotton threading, mirrors on each side of the wall and above the bed, a deep garden tub with spa jets and candles lit and lined along the bath's edges, and the most beautiful view of a lake beneath a full moon. After a long night of expressing their love, a wild animal broke into their house and brutally slaughtered them, ripping their bodies into pieces to a point of no recognition.
Vesta was at an after party when she received a call from the police. Immediately she was taken home and found the police waiting at her front door. They had told her what happened to their parents, and didn't know whom or what killed them. It was the most horrible tragic, night of her life. She couldn't wait to go home and tell her parents of winning Prom Queen, or when she had her first kiss with Jared Labat, or how the Jerusalem temple looked magical as she danced beneath the glistening stars. Now she couldn't tell her parents. A few weeks later after her parents funeral, her aunt and her family moved into the house with Vesta. Everything that was her parents was now hers; their house, Ormond, all the businesses in Ormond, Ormond real estate, everything. So many politics were involved, but she didn't sign anything away.
When August rolled around, she decided to major in Business when she attended Louisiana State University. This was the time she got her first tattoo dedicated to her parents. College was great; she made a lot of friends, continued to be on the cheerleading squad for college football, dated the quarterback, and attended many college parties. She felt like she wanted more, and she was seriously addicted to getting tattoos. She fell in love with the art, and decided to attend school for it after she received her degree in business. Things started to change when she kept getting more tattoos; her friends didn't look at her the same or treated her the same. She was hanging out with a different crowd that were more into the rock/metal fashion scene, and attended every rock and metal show that came to Louisiana.
Destrehan wasn't her home anymore. She signed away the house to her aunt and her family, but still kept everything else running smoothly in Ormond for she owned it. New Orleans was calling her name. Packing up, she left Baton Rouge and bought a condominium on Dumaine street, located in the French Quarter. As a tattoo artist, she changed her name to Vesta St. Noir as a more suitable stage name, and she attended many conventions in the south region and won many awards. Her work was becoming famous; she even appeared in magazines like Bizarre and Inked as the cover model, and was named "Best Tattoo Artist in the South." New Orleans now had truly become her home.
