“Oh,what the hell...” Zack muttered, waiting for Alex to pick up on the other line. The puppy Owen had sent him was happily tearing through the main room of the hookah, knocking over just about everything it could at that point. “No, no you fucking don't, shithead!” He started to yell, running over and picking up the thing as it started turning in circles and sniffing around, keeping the phone between his shoulder and ear and holding the pup straight in front of him in case it decided to piss everywhere. Once they were outside, Zack kept it corralled in a little alley for it to do it's business while he talked to Alex.
“Hey! Ehh....heheh.” He started, trying not to bust out laughing. “We...might have a potential problem. How's Helix around puppies?”
Alex groped for her phone from the bedside table. Having fallen asleep some point int he afternoon. phone to her ear, she muttered into the pillows. "Yeah, what?" Then blinked, hearing Zack on the other end of the line, asking about Helix and how he was with puppies.
Sitting up, she rubbed at her hair, and yawned, running a hand over Helix's head, and scratched behind his ears. "Hm? He has a tendancy to sit on them and squish them....why?"
Well...He wasn't trying to be mean or anything. He jus.Well....he thought he was playing and didn't realize he weighted over 130 lbs. Fucking dog weighed more then Alex did.
“I'm askin' cause I'm stuck with one.” Zack replied, sitting down on the sidewalk and letting the pup come back to him, pulling it into his lap. “It's Owen. He sent me a package addressed to the hookah, and there was a fuckin' puppy in it. Guess the doc thinks it'll be good for me, or somethin'. White lab.” He shifted the phone a bit, holding it to his head with his shoulder while he pet and scratched the little ball of fluff. “Not what I was expectin' today, but I don't want to just get rid of him. Think we could keep 'em?”
The fuck?? What the hell was up with Owen anyway? Alex rolled her eye's, and gave a soft sigh, blowing air out and up. "Bring it home....Your gonna be in charge of it though. And god help you if it get's into Ash's closet and anywhere near his shoes....."
She rolled over and snuggled back into her pillows. "And if Helix squishes him, your gonna have to save him.....though if he's little, he might think it's a chew toy...."
