The phone calls to Patsy had gotten the gears in motion, along with finally coming to terms with at least one of her leopards. She had started the wheels in motion at the hospital as well, notifying the Board that she would be taking a partial sabbatical. Yes, she couldn't completely give up the hospital but with Artemus assisting on the clinic classes and Carrie handling administration she was 'demoting' herself down to an on-call physician.
Now she had other things to deal with and the first of those things was Mikhail.
She called the number he'd left her, pacing slowly in her office at the hospital as she waited for the ringing tone to cease and the line to be answered.
"Mikhail, its Jessica. We need to discuss some things about the Pard. Do you have a moment?"
Mikhail had been in a meeting when his cell phone rang. he held a hand up to the gentleman he was speaking to and lifted the phone to see who was calling. "Prosto odna sekunda"(Just a moment) the words in his native tounge rolled politely off of his tongue. before he pressed the phone to his ear.
"Jessica, Hello... Of Course, just one moment."
He lowered the phone again and spoke once more to the men in his office."prodovzhymo piznishe" (We'll continue later)
when he was alone. he lowered the phone and relaxed into his seat and once again pressed the phone to his ear.
"What would you care to speak of? has anyone been harmed?"
