Jack had been wandering the hallways for hours. Things had started going…well. ‘Strange’ was a good way to put it. ‘Mildly terrifying’ might have been another. He’d been in a room, mostly waiting for the night to become morning again, when things started getting pretty funky. For one, he had channel 42 on, which played The Shining twenty four hours a day. He’d seen it about a million times, but he couldn’t keep up very well with other programs, and once the loops had gone up, the reception for television had gone a little wonky. So he was just watching what was on. Besides, his current ‘name’ was taken from that very story.
It wasn’t till a little later that he seemed to notice the décor in this house was distinctly different than other homes. Attention was distracted from the television when he heard, the front door knob starting to jiggle and unlock he stood slowly and turned walking through the wall of the living room leaving the television blasting. When Jack walked through the house, lights would start to flicker off and on soon as the blonde girl came through the door. Trying to find an exit of the home, he became a little curious to whom she was so he decided to just hang out – make things a little spooky and weird he loved to mess with people, but knowing he has to be still on his best behavior after all a couple months ago someone threaten to send him away to some unknown black space Jack didn’t want that.
-As she entered the house she felt a chill creep down her spine and instantly went on what the fuck mode. Heading over to the AC unit on the wall she checked to see if someone had turned it down too far. Pulling back the plastic casing she eyed it with wide cerulean blue eyes and poked at one of the buttons. It didn't look like anything had changed. Hmmm odd. Heading back to the front door she closed it and turned the lock before tossing her keys onto a small table in the entryway. She was always just tossing her keys around, it was a wonder she could ever find them at all.-
"Hello? Anybody fucking home?"
-Yelling upstairs where she could hear a TV going at full blast she decided to go investigate when no one answered. Usually there was someone at home but they didn't tend to leave the television on at such an epic fucking volume. Taking the stairs two at a time she noticed some lights flickering and her bubble gum pink lips turned down in a frown. What the hell was going on around here?-
"Dee? Trent? Are you guys trying to be funny?"
-Peeking into some of the bedrooms she saw Venus laying comatose in one, her nurse obviously gone for food or something. Zoe was blissed out on pain meds in her bedroom and Maya was starting to think her best friend was just a little too used to those things by now. When she finally stepped into one of the second floor living rooms and saw the TV flashing out images of Stephen King's The Shining she grimaced. Slightly creepy but amazing movie, even creepier book. Heading towards the TV set she lifted the remote from the arm of the couch and turned it off.-
"What the fuck is going on around here?"
-Hands perched on hips, blonde hair flounced behind her as she turned on her heel and went to leave the room.-
No fucking way! That little girl just came up in the room, he was watching television in and flicked it off. Jack poked, his head back through the wall of the room he was seated in minding his own business and watching The Shining. Those brown eyes peered at the television set, he pulled enough energy and picked up the remote pressing the button as he tossed it back where Maya had layed it.
When Maya had her back turned to leave, it just suddenly turned back on. Jack smiled to himself, as he went to his little happy fucked up world place. After all New Orlean folk gave him this name and it was his MOVIE! He claimed the television set.
"You know I was watching that" he said, Jack was so use to people ignoring him. Not knowing if Maya could see him or even hear him it would shock the hell out of him, fuck all he had was dead people to talk to.
-Maya was just about to leave the room when the television went on behind her with the volume at full blast. Spinning around her golden blonde hair whipped across her back and she stared wide eyed at the TV set. Jack Nicholson sounded like he was screaming for fucks sake! Bubble gum pink lips pouted angrily and she stalked over to the couch to pick up the remote again and shut it off. Turning the remote over she opened the plate on the back and knocked the batteries loose into her palm before putting the plastic back on the remote again.-
"That ought to fix that problem."
-Clearly there was some kind of short in the wiring. Maya couldn't hear Jack. All she got was a sudden disturbing high pitched ringing in her ears that made her cringe. Thinking it was electric feedback she moved over to the TV in it's hutch and got down on her hands and knees to peer behind the hutch. Her lower back arched as she strained to peer into the darkness between the hutch and the wall until her cerulean blue eyes found the chords to the television and cable box. Stretching an arm in the crevice behind the furniture she reached for the chords and yanked them out of the wall. Maybe it wasn't the wisest thing to do with cable wiring but she was impatient and this wierd shit was grating on her nerves.-
"God damn wiring."
-Mumbling to herself she tossed the batteries in the waste basket as she headed back towards the door of the room. Wierd shit went on around there all the time but possessed television sets was something new. Maya got all the way to her room before she realized she still had the batteryless remote clutched in one hand. Muttering a loud 'fuck' she went back to the living room and standing in the doorway tossed the remote towards the couch.-
Those eyes glared at the little blonde, she took the batteries out and unplugged the television. Watching her march off, Jack beginning to get a kick out this unplugging the tv and removing the batteries from the remote was not going to stop him; No it was not going to stop him nope not at all.
"Heeyyyyyy"
Okay she couldn't hear him? Quirking a brow that pissed him off, now he just wanted attention. Huffing he glanced to the televison, Jack started to walk towards the doorway when Maya came back in the room and tossed the remote back on the couch. Jack passed right through her, she would feel an chill sometimes when Jack would pass through people, they would have the sudden urge to add on a pair of socks, or a sweater or thinking there was something wrong with the AC unit.
So she didn't want the television on? How about the water fosete in the bathroom, or the lights in the kitchen and once he passed by a radio it switched on flipping through channels so quickly that it landed on his favorite song from that movie Sleep Walkers.
"Now turn that shit off!" he yelled up the stairs at the blonde, girl who seemly couldn't even hear him. "Hah!"
-When Jack passed through her she did in fact get a chill all over. In fact her hands reached to cup her breasts and feel her nipples where they had hardened to hard points. What the fuck was that about? Jesus, she could cut glass. Turning in the hallway to head towards her room she was almost there when suddenly the whole house seemed to start going haywire. Lights flickered, a radio started on full blast, and she heard rushing water from somewhere.-
"Holy shit!"
-Bubble gum pink lips opened in a wide O of surprise as she started rushing around to shut things off. Then she stopped on the landing and listened to that annoying sharp ringing in her ears. Jesus Chirst that was awful! Placing her petite hands over her ears she stalked downstairs with the most adorable look of rage set on her face. Where the fuck was everyone? Had they all abandoned her here in the Twilight Zone!?-
"This is fucking crazy"
-Heading through the kitchen she threw open the door to the back courtyard that attached their main house to the apartment of Nike's. There, in the garage under Nike's apartment was the main circuit breaker. Opening the metal panel she used one hand to run fingers over the main power switches and shut the whole thing down. In the house lights went dark and all the electronics went silent. Blowing out a huff of air she blew her wispy blonde bangs up.-
"What a joke."
-Pulling her phone from the back pocket of her too tight white shorts she dialed information to get the number for an electrician as she closed the door of the garage and went back towards the main house. Hitting numbers on the phone with her pink polka dotted nail she had the 411 service auto dial an electrician shop for her and paused in the kitchen long enough to get some Post-Its from the drawer. With the phone balanced between her shoulder and ear she scrawled out a note for the others and then stuck the note on the fridge.-
"Guys something's wrong with the wiring. Seriously wrong. Calling an electrician to fix it. Geller, you pay!" -The pink Post-It was slapped onto the fridge as she passed by and left a message for the electrician on the line.-
"Yes. My address is (insert address here) could you send someone right away? Money is no object and we're having some serious fucking issues." -Leaving the rest of the information for the man she settled for him saying someone would be out soon. Soon!!! What the fuck did that mean?-
-Climbing the stairs again she went to her bedroom and tossed her cell phone on her bed. Rustling through drawers she found matches and lit a few candles in the room to have more light. The hot pink tank top was pulled off over her head and thrown in a pile on the floor as she shook out the lengths of her blonde hair and headed towards the bathroom where the faucets were still running. Could faulty wiring make faucets run? Maya wasn't sure.-
-Turning off the sink she looked in the mirror and fluffed her hair with her hands before reaching behind her and unhooking her black bra with a two fingers snap. Slipping her arms out of the straps she tossed the lingerie towards the laundry hamper and moved to turn the hot water on in the shower. The temperature was tested and then she pulled the curtain closed and wiggled out of her white jean shorts and tossed them over in the laundry basket as well. She needed a hot shower after her day training at Paix and the threat of electrical death wasn't going to stop her.-
-Kicking off her black boy short panties in an aim that missed the hamper altogether she pulled back the curtain a bit. One leg slipped past the curtain and into the shower to feel the hot water against her bare foot. It seemed to be warming up just fine so she slipped behind the curtain and let the hot water chase away the wierdness for a bit.-
Jack's eyes watched as Maya went out of the house, quirk a brow. Damn nobody seemed to have fun now days in this fucking city. He was taking a liking to Maya and just figured he'd stick around here for a couple of days or months. Maybe years till she got the fucking idea that there was a spirit in her house, he was just playful and wanted some attention hell it was lonley being dead.
"Oh for fuck sakes!"
Rolling his eyes, as he watched her put a sticky post up on the fridge for whoever else to see, and something about paying the bill. "Your wasting their money you know" Why in the hell was he talking to her? Frowning as he watched to make sure she went up the stairs, Jack flicked the posty off the fridge, and walked through the bathroom door to only a pair of tits flashed in his face as Maya was stripping down.
"Holy shit! Put those away before you fucking poke someones eye out!" Jack couldn't help but look, he was not some pervert Ghost hell he walked in on people fucking before for god sakes.
"Damn fucking idiots that killed me, Hey oh hell no!" he watched as Maya stepped into the shower, grumbling. "So not fucking cool, to cut a man off with a hard on I'm dead for crying out loud!" He screamed at the shower curtin, why was he doing this again? Maya could not hear him. Huffing he walked to the sink as he twisted the hot water on letting it steam up the mirror, pressing his fingertips agaisnt the glass as he wrote JACK WUZ HERE in the foggy mirror.
"Yes" he said, "You've got a ghost" Walking by the toilt he flushed it knowing good damn well the water was going to turn cold he walked through the door and smirked big hearing a pitching loud scream.
-When Jack screamed Maya heard that high pitched ringing in her ears again and promptly pressed her fingers against her ears and gave a wiggle to see if there was water in her ears. What a wierd fucking day. The hot water felt good on muscles tired from work and she quickly filled her palm with shampoo, working it into her thick golden blonde hair until the bouncy lengths were covered in suds and piled at the top of her head. That was when she began singing a song by PINK at the top of her lungs. It wasn't that Maya was a bad singer, but damn the girl could get loud when she set her mind to it and the song echoed off the tiled shower walls.-
"Don't you ever ever feel...like you're less than...less than PERFECT! FUCKING PERFECT!"
-She had a bar of pink soap that she used to lather up as she danced under the faucet. Distracted, you bet. She didn't even hear the sink coming back on. But when the toilet flushed she sure as shit noticed that! The water suddenly came out ice cold and she screamed a string of profanities that sounded like 'fuckshitgoddamnitmotherfucker!' With a clattering sound she practically leapt through the shower curtain to try to get out from under the icy cold spray.-
-Bare feet hit the tile floor of the bathroom and she almost slipped. A hand reached out to grab the wall and left a soap sud smear on the wallpaper as she halted herself and stared at the offending toilet angrily. Before she could test the shower water again she looked up and saw the bathroom mirror that read JACK WUZ HERE.-
"Who the fuck is Jack?"
-It seemed like a logical question. Cerulean blue eyes narrowed as she inched forward towards the mirror inspecting the words there cautiously as if she expected something in the mirror to reach out and make a grab at her. Shampoo and soap suds traveled in trails over her pale naked skin as she dripped carelessly on the floor. As she got closer she could have sworn she saw something in the mirror. Not someone mind you but something strange in the fog covered surface. Standing up bolt straight a hand went to her shocked open mouth.-
-Then, as though things weren't strange enough she felt a cold hard something press against her butt. Maybe she'd backing into the door handle without noticing, or maybe not. Who knew! Didn't matter. By now she was thoroughly freaked! The soap in her hand dropped to the floor with a clatter and slid off under the counter and Maya leapt about two feet in the air easy as she screamed.-
"OHMIGOD! AHHHH!"
-Soapy hands reached to cover her bubble butt as she bolted out of the bathroom leaving the water going and soap suds everywhere. Running straight out of her room she had no idea what she was screaming, she was just screaming. Suddenly every horror movie she'd ever seen was coming back to her. The irony wasn't lost on her. There she was, a werewolf, a creature from horror movies, and she was screaming something about ghosts and exorcists.-
"HELP! HELP! SOMEBODY CALL BILL MURRAY!"
-Mindless of her nudity she ran for the front door and clutched the handle expecting it to open. Her hands were soapy and slick and they almost slid off the handle and landed her on her butt at first when the door didn't open. In her panic she became suddenly convinced that the legions of hell were holding her captive in the house, then she remembered she'd locked the door. Flipping the latch back she hopped outside like she was walking on hot coals. And that was how Maya Xanthos ended up buck ass naked on the street at the edge of the French Quarter.-
-A car was pulling up in front of the house as she was running out and she practically slammed her soapy sudsy breasts right into the passenger side window before she could stop herself. Hands pressed to the car hood and her eyes were wide as saucers. Blood hair had fallen from the sudsy heap on top of her head and was now hanging around her shoulders and down her back dripping trails of white foam over her skin. Pushing away from the car she looked at the man who was getting out on the drivers side.-
"Who the fuck are you?!" -She asked in an offended tone as though he was the one doing something odd. The man stammered out something about her wiring and Maya practically screamed in his face.- "I don't need an electrician you idiot! I need a fucking exorcist!........Oh god! Venus and Zoe are in there!"
-Suddenly her brain seemed to catch up with the momentum and she made a yip noise as she ran around the car to grab the man by his big burly workmans arm. She was trying to coax him out of his shirt which wasn't hard since he was staring at her tits like he had lost his brain power just as she gained hers. Leaving him dressed in a sweat stained wife beater she pulled his disgusting work shirt on and hastily buttons a few of the notches in front so that her breasts and the Manic Panic dyed hot pink heart of her pubic hair were covered.-
"We have to go in there! Don't you have....like...a fucking....Proton Pack or something???"
-Hey! What was she a psychic? She didn't have a fucking clue what electricians carried with them. Jerking the man by his burly arm she was trying to forcibly drag him into the house with her much to the amusement of the small audience of locals on the sidewalk. Her friends were inside and no pervert ghost was going to scare her away. Still, she didn't want to go in alone. Luckily, as a lycan, Maya was peculiarly strong for a woman of her diminutive size.-
"Come on!" -she whined at him- "We don't have all fucking day! Who knows what he's doing in there!"
-Getting behind the lard assed man she pushed him in front of her through the door. Half hiding behind his bulk she peeked out and around the room expecting to see...what? She had no fucking clue what she expected to see. Where the fuck was Geller!? Where was Trent?! Or Dee?! Jesus Christ on a cracker she was stuck here with a woman in a coma, a woman drugged up out of her gourd, and the god damn MAYTAG MAN!-
"The phone book!"
-Maya shouted so loud that the electrician jumped. Clearly the man was beginning to think she was insane, but to his credit he didn't leave. Instead he stood there in the entryway with the front door open and the crowd outside trying to peer inside. She wasn't caring about the people watching, she just bolted towards the kitchen. Her wet feet slid on the kitchen tiles and she had to catch herself against the counter near the main phone. Jerking a door out so hard she practically ripped the handle off she grabbed at the Yellow Pages. In her other hand she was grappling for the kitchen phone. When she put the phone to her ear she realized the power was still off!-
"Oh holy fuck!"
-In an utter panic she started screaming in a high pitched voice to the Maytag man to get out to the garage where the power box was located. It was probably surprising the man could understand what she said at all. Maniclly flipping through the phone book she was looking for...what? WHAT!? Who the hell was she gonna call? Bill Murray! Oh yeah that would go over well. Mediums, witches, exorcists. Did they even advertise in the Yellow Pages?-
-It wasn't that she wanted to hurt the ghost who had possibly pinched her butt she just wanted someone to come and tell her what the hell was going on! Finding a number that looked promising she waited for the power to go on and then dialed it. As the line rang she just said 'oh please oh fucking please oh please someone answer over and over again'.-
This was unfucking beleiveable, Jack just stood there in awe as Maya started screaming bloody murder. Like someone was chasing her with a butchers knife. Rolling his eyes as he stalked out of the house after the soapy sud Maya, quite confused on how some people reacted by him being around all he wanted to do was watch television and now it ended up with her fucking screaming to call some Bill Murry dude who the fuck was that?
"Come on stop screaming!"
Jack went outside after her, my god she looked like a psycho runing out in the middle of the street. People were stopping and slamming on their breaks, as men turned their heads looking at the named Maya, quirking a brow as he spotted her pulling and tugging at a electriction man that show'd up, making a face as he wanted her to calm the fuck down.
"Hey, Hey, hey!" he popped up beside her and the man, looking at him Jack didn't like him. But Maya screaming like that was getting fucking annoying she was over reacting like some little drama queen. 'I don't need an electrician you idiot! I need a fucking exorcist....Oh god! Venus and Zoe are in there!'
"A fucking what?! A exorcist?"
Jack was a totaly shocked, he needed to calm this girl down before she had a panic attack. He huffed in frustration, completely annoyed - all he wanted to do was watch television instead of brooding around the fucking city all the time.
"Shhh shhh stop yelling!" Oh what was the fucking use, Jack tossed his hands and arms up in the air from aggervation. He wondered if she could see him? Yeah Jack could try that, he was ignored by the living somtimes but god damn she needed to calm down. Fingertips rested to Maya's shoulders it was chilling but it was a soft comftable touch, Jack was not going to hurt her. The ghost manifests himself or trying, he was not scary not scary at all just a regular dude removing his hands from her as he stood there, well the wiring guy didn't see him but if Maya didn't see him he had no fucking hope in claming her down.
"Just calm down!" Jack decided it was time to leave, maybe go back to the City and sit in a puddle of water or something while he's ignored even more and talk to only dead people.
"Please don't call no voodoo, bitch or a witch or something! They'll fucking ban me to a black hole! Thats no fun its no fun being sucked in a hole with no where to go!" Oh why is he still talking to her, if she was hearing ringing in her ears, then she needed to stop and think of that was Jack trying to talk to her.
-When she finally heard someone pick up on the other line she didn't really crae who it was. The ad in the Yellow Pages she'd gotten the number from had been vague. It could be an animators business, a medium, a psychic...anything. The ad had said something about 'contacting the dead' and she'd jumped on it. Desperate times called for desperate measures. The voice on the other end seemed like a lifeline.-
"Hello! Ohmigod. I need someone to come over here right now. I have a ghost in residence. At least I think that's what it is. Or maybe a gremlin in the wiring, or an alien contacting me from outer space. NO I AM NOT FUCKING JOKING!!!!!"
-Suddenly Maya was willing to believe in all sorts of things that had seemed impossible just a short time before. Now she just hoped that whatever number she had dialed had someone there who could help her! Had Maya known the ghost found her so annoying she might have gotten worse yet and tried to exorcise him her damn self. As the moron on the other end put her on hold she spun around and put her butt to the counter, her ears doing that annoying ringing thing again.-
"Listen here you!" -To her credit that powerful voice didn't quaver one bit even if her body was shiver slightly in the electricians oversized shirt.- "You....you...whatever you are! I don't know what you are but if you keep freaking me out I'm gonna make sure you end up in purgatory somewhere rolling a rock up hill for fucking eternity like Sysiphus! You hear me!"
-She waited to see if the whatever it was gave her any sign that it could in fact hear her. Maya still wasn't sold on the whole ghost idea. Part of her was voting on aliens, part on a ghost, and the part of her that watched too many reruns of Buffy the vampire Slayer felt sure that this was an invisible girl. An invisible girl who liked to watch other girls in the shower apparently.-
"If you'll behave yourself though I'm just gonna find someone who can....see you...or hear you...or who the fuck knows what."
-That was about when the electrician came into the room announcing that the wiring was fine and Jacks wavery image began to appear to Maya. Without Jacks help she never would have been able to see him but apparently he was doing something ghosty and she could just barely see a blurry outline of a young man. Bubblegum pink lips fell open wide and she dropped the phone. Dropped soap, dropped phone, she was becoming a regular butterfingers. The electrician leaned forward to grab the phone for the poor deranged woman he was stuck with but Maya was just staring wide eyed at the ghosty hazy image in front of her.-

He's been dead for years, taking a breath that he didn't even need. Jack was happy that Maya could see him, no he did not want her to call someone to do something weird to him, nope he did not trust those voodoo bitches or witches or anybody with the hocus pocus shit eaten words his eyes watched as she dropped her phone, the soap and everything then the wiring man came in annouching nothing was wrong with the power. Of course not! It was Jack.
"Yeah sure whatever you say"
Even with the pratice of all this, it drainned him or made him some what tired. Still he was trying to make himself soild so no see through half seeing forms of a shadow, sometimes he would repeat things or just vanish in thin air when things get to complicated he'd be back infront of the building in the city he was murdered at in the middle of the streets, is what happen when he first found out he was dead he'd always do something and it created a hot spot for tourist, and everything because of his activity over the years, and people getting use to him being there they just gave him a nickname and that was Jack in regards to the moving The Shining.
So she could see him? Good! lest someone could not many could, because the living usely ignored the dead and spirits and such. He took a step forward as he faded from her site Jack was on his way back to the living room when the television switched back on batteries or not unplugged he managed to make it happen he was a powerful dead guy he's been here before Maya was even born people would come and go spirits would pass through, and move on and go where ever the hell it was they went what was it called? Oh yeah crossing over, Jack never wanted to do that he didn't want to leave his life was took short he never got to live his full life and get married, have childeren and sit in a rocking chair with grandchilderen running around. Nope instead he was killed how sweet is life? Great!
-Maya said it so suddenly that the electrician just stared at her stumped as he held out the phone. Wide lash rimmed eyes of a bright cerulean blue looked shocked at the image solidifying in front of her. It was a ghost! At some point in there she realized her mouth was open and being covered by a dainty hand. Shutting her mouth she reached out towards the phone the man was holding out to her and put it to her ear for a minute like she was in a trance. Hold music still played.-
"Do you see that?"
-Clearly she was asking the electrician but her eyes never left Jack. This was just too wierd. Jack moved towards her and she wondered vaguely what he was going to do, then he just vanished. Maya was left blinking in confusion and turning to look at the electrician who was starting to look really worried. Phone still in hand she cleared her throat and lycan hearing picked up on the sound of the TV going on in the living room. At least this time the volume was under some semblance of control.-
"Uhmmm...just bill us for the shirt or your time or whatever you want."
-Having already rushed him into the house she now seemed intent on rushing him out. To the mans credit he didn't seem nearly as disgruntled as he should have been. Maybe it was the promise of payment, or the free peek-a-boo he'd gotten on arrival. Promising all sorts of things she practically pushed him out the front door and shut it behind him. Her back leaned against it as she let out a loud exhale. Hold music was still playing in her ear and she was starting to wonder what the hell they were doing on the other end. When someone finally came back on the line she spoke much calmer than before.-
"I need you to send someone who can help me....talk to a dead person."
-At least the person on the other end seemed to think that was a normal request. More normal than Gremlins at least. Giving them her address, name, and phone number she finally hung up the phone and set it on the small table in the entryway beside her keys. Moving slowly towards the sound of the television in the upstairs lliving room she stopped again at the bottom of the stairs with one hand perched on the banister as she looked upstairs trying to figure out what to do.-
-Normally she would cuss a storm, or kick someone in the shin, or go get Geller, but none of those reactions seemed appropriate under the circumstances. Licking her lips she realized she was weary some sweaty mans shirt and still had shampoo and soap drying on her. So first thing was first. Heading back upstairs to her room she ignored the TV room this time and went to finish her shower. The ghost thing had promised to be good so she trusted there would be no more water changes or mirror messages. Still, she made quick work of the shower and shoved the workmans shirt as far down in her hamper as possible.-
-No singing this time. She dried off and quickly put on a clean pair of near nonexistant black jean shorts and a white tank top. The tattoo on her right thigh showed in its entirety in those tiny shorts but she didn't have to hide it anymore, Geller knew. Dressed more appropriately she pulled her thick blonde hair back in a wet ponytail that bounced as she walked and would curl as it dried. When she finally exited her bedroom again she was just as wide eyed as before and her voice spoke softly.-
"Uhm, Mr. Ghost person?"
-Jesus she hoped that place sent someone soon. If not she was gonna have to figure out how to talk to this guy. Step by step she moved on near silent feet down the hallway and towards the sound of the television. -
Dee had just returned from the shooting range. The building inspector was there, so of course she had to be there making sure that the building was in proper codes. Not to mention, the fire marshal, the sheriff, and a new possible employee was at the shooting range as well.
On the way home, she decided to stop at Whole Foods and purchased a large Chantilly Lace cake. The white cake was layered with fruits and sugary syrup, and devoured in a light, fluffy icing. It was the most delicious cake Dee had ever had in her life, and she knew that the others in the house would love it just as much as she did.
Dee walked into the house carrying the cardboard box stuffed with cake when she noticed Maya was at the bottom of the banister calling out for Mr. Ghost Person.....? Either a ghost was haunting their house, or Maya was going absolutely insane. Dee didn't blame her insanity though, with Venus comatose and Zoe so drugged up she didn't even know her name.
"Uhhh....Maya? Who are you talking to babe?"
Dee inclined, resting a free hand on her shoulder, lightly caressing the girl's soft, smooth skin. A dark, slender brow arched, and concerned settled within the depths of her glistening, emerald eyes.
Jack was seated on the couch, as he managed to make himself a soild full figure. But he was still a ghost, he could get up and walk through the wall - or do something else crazy but he had his eyes glued to the television. Maya's voice sounded down the hallway, now he was going to be forced to talk to someone and answer some questions. Why don't she just hold a light up to his face and ask him where he was on such and such day. Eyes glanced towards the hallway as he heard her creeping slowly up to the livingroom, his attention moved from the televison as he her head poke around the corner.
"Jack"
He was not going to answer to Mr. Ghost person. Fuck he wrote his name on the mirror for her to see then she ran out of the house like a naked porn star. There he went talking once again, turnning his attention back to the movie he no longer wished to watch it, the channels started to flip on the screen by itself he didn't even have to get up or touch a button, it landed on the cartoon network Tom and Jerry, shit he loved those guys.
He quickly sat up as he heard another womans voice, tilting his head he wondered how many people lived in this fucking house. not wanting more people to know of his exisitances Jack faded and vanished, leaving the area of the livingroom. Not knowing where he'll end up but he was there just not near Maya and the other woman, wondered if it was the exorist or preist to came to get rid of him damn.
-She sort of said that under her breath as she peeked in the door and caught another glimpse of the ghost with the most. The lashes rimming her cerulean blues fluttered lightly and then she jumped when she heard Dee's voice and spun around with an expression of guilt written across her face. From behind her she heard the one word 'JACK' and remembered it from the bathroom mirror.-
"Uhm....I....uhhhh...."
-Maya never ran out of things to say. In fact it was downright hard to shut her the hell up most days. But at the moment she stammered over her words and looked behind her into the living room where Jack was now missing in action. Damn it! He had disappeared again. Now everyone was gonna think she was nuts! Biting at the blossom of her lower lip she looked back towards Dee as the woman stroked her arm.-
"No one. I wasn't.....talking to.....anyone." -Maya gave a nervous giggle and reached her hands up to tighten her ponytail.- "Maybe....shit Dee. I dunno. Maybe I just need a nap! It's been a long day and I just started my new job and all the sick people are still in fucking bed and ugh...who knows."
-Maya was beginning to believe she was insane too. Throwing her arms around Dee she gave the woman a hug, practically had to climb her to do it too. Then she sighed loudly and headed towards her bedroom again. Maybe she'd imagined it all. Or maybe a ghost whisperer would show up and prove to everyone she wasn't crazy. Or maybe she'd have to go to a mental institution after all! Flopping down on her bed she left the door open behind her. Reaching for her journal on the bedside table she started to furiously scribble in the hot pink journal.-
Jack knew that Maya was not crazy, after all it seemed to be a crazy shit load of hours. He's never seen so much drama and tits in his life. The other woman who entered the house, he had no idea of - it seemed safe to come out, since things were beginning to calm down. Jack did roam the house the whole day till Maya came home, so he figured the two women lay up in their bedrooms like veggie tails, were the Zoe and Venus she mentioned earlyer. He was quite cirious of why they were hurt or sick but he did not bother them.
He didn't sleep so he knew, tonight would be another long ass boring evening. Him and the crickets he found this a good thing. Maybe if the home owners let him stay, he could help keep an eye on things, try to warn them if something goes wrong like their very own watch dog, expect a watch ghost with a fucking rude ass bite.
"You know, I can always try to figure out how to make contact with you on my own"
He walked through the walls, as he ended up in Maya's room, walking past the candles as they flickered from the light breeze. He took a seat on the edge of her bed as the mattress sank in slowly, god he hoped she didn't fucking scream again if she did Jack was going to screen and make every light bulb in the house expload and pop breaking.
-As the bed moved underneath her she quickly scrawled her name on the bottom of the journal entry that she'd been writing and shut the book. Rolling onto her side she propped herself up on one elbow and looked at the spot where the mattress seemed to be compromised. Those lovely cerulean blue eyes narrowed suspiciously and she peered at the blank space through the sweeps of her black lashes.-
"Is that you Jack?"
-Great! Now she was fucking talking to herself again! Reaching out a tentative hand towards that spot on the edge of the bed her pink polka dotted nails wiggled at the open space. At a certain point her skin felt chilled and a shiver ran through her that made her pull her hand back suddenly unsure of herself. What if she hurt him? Or what if he gave her some kind of lycan pneumonia or something? She hadn't heard what he'd said earlier because he hadn't been in her room when he said it, so she just felt like an idiot as she continued talking to herself, probably.-
"Did you like, die in our house or something? Are you here cause you need something?"
-Well what the fuck did she know about this stuff??? In movies ghosts always either wanted you dead or wanted you to take messages to their relatives. Or you know, they were Casper the friendly ghost, which Maya didn't believe was an accurate representation of the genre. Her blonde hair had dried into bouncy curls that fell over one shoulder, soft stray curls framing her face as she tried to will her eyes to see him again. Finally she flopped back on her back in defeat and spoke to the ceiling.-
Cadence had been out all day picking thing up for herself but also some other things that were running low at the house and since she had been going out anyway she picked them up. Carrying the bags up to the door as she would fiddle with her key which was give to her a little bit ago. Unlocking the door before carrying them within the foyer. Before kicking the door shut and made her way into the kitchen hitting the light with her elbow before raising a brow to see that the lights didn't come on ..
" Hey , MAYA? WHY AREN'T THE LIGHTS WORKING ? DID WE HAVE A POWER OUTAGE OR SOMETHING ? "
Cadence would place the bags on the counter top which belongs in the kitchen before she would grab up the bags that belong to her room. Slowly making her way upstairs in search of Maya. Then pops her head into her room.
" Did you hear me ? Why are all the lights not working ? Are you ok ? You look like you need to take a nap or something ?
Of course it was him, who else would it be? He had to crack a little smile, he knew she felt crazy she was not crazy. Eyes glanced watching as she moved her hand forward, and just swiped at the air her hand went through him yes, and it would be a chill spot. He gave a low chuckle when she started asking all these questions - of course Jack was wondering how he could answer those he's been dead for over eighty years stuck in this suck fest damn world.
"Not here," he said "I can go anywhere, I was killed in the middle of the street in New Orleans" Hell. Jack didn't know if she heard him or not, so lest he could do was try to answer her. He scooted back onto the bed as the mattress moved beneath her, at something that was sitting there that she couldn't see. He sat indian style, with his hand resting on his cheek, and staring at the wall - that was when he heard someone else come inside the house, and asking about the lights.
"Opps"
How many people lived here? Tilting his head as he saw another girls head poke around the corner he was wondering if they were all lesbians and dikes or something.
-Huffing a sigh from between her bubble gum pink lips she blew her bangs back from her forehead as she lay stretched on the bed staring up at the ceiling. Somewhere off to her right she could feel that cold presence and once or twice she idly ran her hand through it. Hell. She was probably about to have a stroke or something! Could lycanthropes have strokes? She didn't know. But her mind was whirring with all the terrible possibilities of what this could be.-
"Up here!" -She gave a lackluster shout to Cadence who was shouting at her from downstairs. Quite convinced she was about to die of a brain embolism Maya just went with it and talked to Jack.- "Don't worry, the other woman was my room mate Dee. This one is Cadence. There's a bunch of us here."
-Of course she had no idea he thought they were all carpet munchers so she couldn't clear that up. Thank God! If the figment of her imagination thought she was a lezzy then is must be true. Jesus. What a way to find out. Turning her head to the side so she was looking towards the door at Cadence she gave the girl a defeated smile. The smile of the dying.-
"The lights work Cadence, I just haven't turned them back on. You have to flip the fucking switch."
-Lifting pink polka dot fingernails she made a small motion like flipping on a light switch then giggled in spite of her possible doom. http://wickedlabyrinth.activeboard.com/t44112661/call-to-someone-who-can-talk-to-ghosts-to-a-mediumanimatoret/ The knock at the door downstairs had Maya sitting bolt upright on the bed with a flounce of that golden blonde hair. Jumping up to her feet she listened carefully with those lycan ears and heard Declan miraculously through the door. Jack she couldn't hear to save her soul but through a door no problem.-
"OHMIGOD! Maybe I'm not crazy!"
-Which certainly made her sound crazy as she bolted through the door of her bedroom nearly knocking Cadence on her ass. Maya ran downstairs and leapt off the stairs, skidding to a halt in front of the door before twisting the bolt off and throwing the door open. Eyes widened at the man standing there.-
"They sent you? The people from the phone book? About the ghost?" -Boy was she going to feel nuts if he was selling Avon or something. Reaching out for his offered hand she didn't so much shake it as yank him in by it.- "It's here! Can you talk to him? Can I talk to him?"
Dee shrugged her shoulders when Maya said she was talking to no one. Of course, Dee didn't believe her, but whatever. Dee went into the kitchen and placed the Whole Foods cardboard cake box on the counter for everyone to see. She yelled to Maya and the others from the kitchen.
"Well, here's a Chantilly Lace cake that I bought. So everyone is welcome to it. Its really good!"
When Cadence walked through the door, Dee smiled and waved to the new room mate. And then she wondered, if more wolves started to live here, would there be enough rooms to satisfy all of them. Ain't no way in Hell Dee is going to share a room with anyone. Besides, the wall of weapons would probably scare them away, anyways. The only person Dee would share her room with is Sirus, since now they are a couple. It still sounded kind of weird in her head, but she knew that her feelings for him were true.
Then, the knock on the door distracted Dee from getting a beer. She was on her way to answer when the trampede of Maya came running down the stairs, almost knocking her over.
"Jesus Maya! Chill the fuck out!"
Was all Dee could say before the man came through, and Maya was asking him a million questions. So Maya wasn't talking to herself. Apparently, their house is haunted. This intrigued Dee very much so, but probably not overly obsessive like Maya was. She would let Maya talk to the man first before Dee would hone into their conversation. In the meantime, Dee disappeared into Venus's room, closing the door.
His lips parted to speak as the door was pulled open, his fist still lifted to continue knocking. Recovering, he canted his head as he scanned her quickly. She certainly fit the bill of a frightened woman. Unless she always was this frantic. It happened. "Phonebook? Oh, right." Declan replied in his, as the woman had put it, fresh-off-the-boat lilting Irish accent. "The, uh...right. You say you have a ghost? Or you need to talk to one? Well, that's me. The talker. Not the ghost." He said with a chuckle and shrug of one shoulder. "Is it...out here in the hall? Or should we go inside. Either suits me." he said, though his gaze widened as he was pulled into the room. "Right. In we go."
He looked around, ignoring her for just a second, her nervous energy wasn't helping much. "Hold on..." he said to her absently, his brow furrowed. "Alright, if you're here, I'm listening. And yes, I can hear you."
Quirking a brow as Maya jumped up and scrambled down the stairs, he was a bit confused for a moment. Standing up from the bed, he walked down the hallway, listening to all the talk and a mans voice blinking he was a little ticked off. Here he came storming down the stairs, as he rushed up on them both, his enegry was hot and on fire Maya broke her promise well Jack didn't know it was just someone to contact her.
"What the fuck is this!" he snapped, "I thought you said you were not calling nobody, you promise I said I would be good!" He was in a panic, just a small panic of over reacting. Jack was going to leave, just stay on his little street where he was murdered. The lights began to flicker, off and on as Jack passed through the hallway and around them.
"Woah woah woah. Let's everybody take a step back, yeah?" Declan said, his gaze shifting quickly about the room as the energy raised a handful or two. "Right, you're pissed off, I get that. It's shitty. Whatever. She called me, so let's not get our panties in a bunch. Now." He said, drawing a deep breath. "Let me start over. My name is Declan. I can hear you." Unfortunately. Good thing he wasn't a telepath, no? "Let's start with that. Your name? And then we can move on to just what you're doing here, and if the lady here wishes a word. I halfway think she does, but let's not jump the gun."
