I know there wasn't any conclusions drawn in the discussion over what elements to include in the Geriatric Elementalist topic. And the fact that aim wouldn't let me participate so here is my proposal.
Clay = Water/Earth (Clayface from Batman), Thunder= Fire/Air.
I picked these because with the sub-elements, that is how they work through science. Fire makes water and air molecules rub together. When they get to a high enough temperature Thunder and then Lighting is produce. Air cools water vapor down into ice. Sand works like Sandman from Spider-man, so on and so forth.
I considered Light/Dark but those are the same elements (technically) and the same as Void. Metal is a product of earth, and Wood and Plants are objects, not elements.
Clay, Sand, and Thunder could be nixed to create a grouping of 7 which is more mystical. Like the number 3.
Mull this over amongst yourselvs. These are my .02
And for the Mods question about making one of us a Mod for this grouping of characters, I would offer since I'm one of the first to talk about it by mentioning possible PB's.

Personally, I think 5 would be a good number. Air, Water, Fire, Earth, and Electricity. Mainly because it's the four main ones, and we already have 2 chars that are lightning elementalists.
I do, however, enjoy the idea of a Sonic element. Very useful for bard/siryn type chars.
The thing is, electricity is not an element unto itself. It's and amalgam of 3 others. The other reason for 7 is it opens up more playability so there's less overlap. Five of each element on both sides limits options/combinations.
I could see James Caan as a Thunder Elementalist leading the "Sith" group since it'd take Fire, Water, and Air to cancel out his access because all three would have to neutralize the molecules that produce his power. Just sayin.
Also to consider, the current thing is all the aged elementalists will be Level V.
