Yes. Knox and Otis had thoroughly trashed the house in the swamps, but there were other valid reasons for the Rodere to need a new place to live. One of them was the sheer weight of memories from when Marcus and Milo had lived in that swamp house before. The other was that the Rats lives were far too difficult being kept so far out of the city. They needed to be closer to the city, closer to the rest of their lives. For years Tommy had been the caretaker to the Rat King and when Milo asked him to look for a house he took on the assignment with the same reverence he always had for the Kings orders.
"Sometimes I wish we still had a Queen."
It was something he mumbled to himself on the weary treks that the real estate agent led him on from neighborhood to neighborhood. Now that Barbie and Milo were divorced they were back to the way that things had been originally, in Salem. The same and yet not the same. Now Tommy watched as Milo took Alex under his wing. Tommy had been the last rat Milo trained personally and now....Tommy was all grown up and contemplating a family of his own. Dade's ashes were on the fireplace mantle and their Rodere had no wise man. Things had changed, but some things would always be the same.
"It's perfect"
That was what he'd said when the real estate agent finally showed him a place that met all the criteria he'd been searching for. Close enough to the city center for convenience but close enough to hunting grounds for the full moon. A big back yard for rough housing and plenty of garage and parking space. Plus lots and lots of bedrooms. Not that that was ultimately the most important thing, since most of the time they all shared the same bed, but it was nice to have seperate space for certain things.
"We'll take it."
The paperwork would take time but Tommy was nothing if not patient. Once it was all done he would take the deed to Milo and let the King begin moving the rats into their new home. Tommy wasn't sure yet if he would be staying there full time or not. He had.....other options now....he just wasn't sure how many nights a week those other options would want to keep him. He hoped 7 nights a week 365 nights a year but maybe not all at once. At least he had been able to make this arrangement for his King. He owed Milo so much, for being there for him, for teaching him, and for helping him to become the man that he was today.
(So I thought the Rodere could post their own pictures of the house here. Have fun)
[Playing around with floor plans.. I can uh, delete this if no one likes it. Or I can adjust it, just lemme know. Remi and Alex have claimed the basement rooms.]

Once She'd actually seen the house. Explored the different aspects of it, she knew this was going to be a job and a half. The first though, was going to be the bedrooms. She started with the Master Bedroom, deciding this one would be for Milo and his lady. And honestly, probably where they would all end up to sleep most nights. She figured that simplicity was going to be best when it came to this room. Finally satisfied that it looked the way her King would want, she moved on to the other bedrooms.
Knox was next, if only because she knew his would take her the longest, having only just met the crazy ass rat recently. But by the time she was done, and she stood in the doorway, looking the room over, she nodded with satisfaction, sure that he would like his as well.
Next came Otis, and Karma. Alex and Tommy. Figuring that Theo, with his house, would probably share with Alex when he did happen to stay at the house, she made sure that Alex's room sported a futon, along with plenty of extra blankets and sheets for not only the futon, but for his own bed. Alex's room was easy for her. makeing sure he had plenty of shelf space for his comics and dvd's and electronics. As well as a writing desk, and drawing table.
The rest of the first floor came next. Any extra bedrooms got generic furniture, ready to be inhabited by whomever ended up occupying the room. So for now. Bed, dresser, and bedside tables and a book shelf. Kitchen came next, stocked with most every kitchen Item one could possibly thing to need. Remi herself liked to cook, so knew what usually was going to be needed.
Dinning rom chairs and table were purchased, and the Living room was set up with comfy couches and squishy chairsthat were perfect for flopping on and sprawling out. Entertainment center, with xbox (and a stash of extra controllers if Otis intended to play anymore xbox), and TV mounted on the wall. Tables and lamps here and there.
Downstairs the game room was equipped with pool table and dart board. Theater room with comfy sectional L shaped couch that could easily hold all of them. The Kitchenette was even stocked, though most of it was upstairs in the main kitchen.
Finally Remi focused on her own room. The room had a fireplace against one wall, One of those electric deals, that was fairly large, and took up a good portion of the wall, with flames that looked as real as possible. A gift from her siblings who had wired her money to help with her own rebuilding efforts. The room also had a desk along one wall, which was a plus. Bed and bedding were chosen. Bookshelves, and a couch and squishy chair on the other side of the room, in a type of living area that faced the TV and gameing systems she'd gotten to replace the one's she lost. Most of what was in Remi's room, she'd used her own money to buy. Or the money that Liam had sent her.
When everything had been delivered and placed to her specifications, and the way she believed that it should be, She walked up to sit on the back deck, sinking into one of the deck chairs that had been placed there, under an umbrella, bottle of water in hand, and cigarette to her lips as she dialed Milo.
Takeing a drag, she leaned back, blowing smoke upwards, and grinned when her King answered his phone. "Milo...the House is ready. We can move in the troops as soon as you want."
[]Figure everybody can find pictures of their rooms, and post them. That way everybody get's what they want. Have fun! []
Carmelita picked the best room. At least if you asked her. While she planned on NEVER using the room for sleep she took a room none the less. Between Knox and her King's room and on the same floor as Tommy. It felt like the old rodere again. Karmas skin vibrated with the power that leaked from the two males on eighter side. The naked beast with in chattered away as she carried the buckets of paint into what would soon be her room. Locking the door behind her and turning up mumford and sons..
Nine hours. Nine hours she would lock herself away. When all was said and done Karma had made the perfect place for the plants that her and Dade had spent hours working on. They were perfect. Something she had planned to one day share with her king... Countering the plant space in her closet was the perfect work space for her "gadgets" she made for the group she worked with. Screwing in the blacklight she would flip on the light and reveal the art that was unseen in the daylight.
With her room done. And everyone asleep Karma would sneak (not really it was well known) Over to Knox's room and still covered in paint would curl up beside the sleeping Knox and slip into slumber herself
