Alright kiddies. As part of Art's history he operates an "Urban Myth" website that updates itself with all things supernatural. He'll be getting that up and running very soon. Because of this I'm going through the OOC information on all the different games/books/series/et.al. this setting is based off of and I admit there are things I simply don't know. I have never read Kim Harrison, or the Gentry novels from Laurel K., and I only saw the first season of True Blood.
This is where you, my fellow players come in. I am actually creating a proboards website to be used ingame as Art's hobby. If there are things you guys want to be referrenced let me know and I'll throw it up. This will take some time, but when I'm done it should help further the "small world" feel of the game. Being a were-leopard, Art only puts down facts that are inconsequential to lycans. He says nothing about Lupanar's or gathering circles, not even if they operate in groups. Informative without endangering them to hunters. To go along with it all, there will be references to actual books anyone can pick up and read at a barnes and nobel.
Once everything is looking good I'll start to integrate the site in my posts. Like I said, if there is anything that you, the players, think should be on there let me know.
A few have mentioned a bit of confusion with my little idea/project. As a hobby Art is fascinated with urban myths/legends along with debunking them. A lot like Ghost Hunters, Ghost Adventures, etc. He writes about different topics, but he does research them so it's not completely coming from a southern orifice. Part of his goal is to make a Wikipedia for Supernaturals. Increase knowledge about their world to combat the irrational fear humans have. However, as a responsible member of the lycan community he does edit the information to protect them as well.
Should have put all of this up first, but I was a little excited about actually making the website. There will be posts about Artemus sending thigns to the site since it is meant to be an IC tool. Some information will be flawed, and characters will be welcome to join that site and go "You need to correct this" or "You're half right" on different topics. I even fully welcome CHARACTERS to get into flame wars and argue topics.
For in game purposes characters will be able to download copies of referenced text to their Kindle, handlhelds, blackberry etc for a small electronic transfer fee which would pay for the site to do so.
Nothing was meant to confuse anyone, and for that I apologize. And yes I am going to let the Mods look through the site to make sure different information is kosher with what they have in mind for the game before actually giving out a link.
