A new Assignment(open to any)

The night found the Valkyrie out on her way to a bar in the french quarter to meet up with Vergil, his message stated a new assignment was posted and the need to speak with Alisster was urgent.  A new mission meant another monster to hunt down and kill. She was no rookie in the hunting game, Alisster had been doing this for many years back from the time she was turned into a vampire by the monster Kalik. His death was the first of many in a long line over the long cold and hungry years.

Alisster strolled down the streets of New Orleans thinking back to the days when she was first turned and why. The death of her parents marked the thrist for vengence for her maker and all like him, whoever killed helpless humans just to quench their thirst for blood. It was Alisster's belief that humanity is precious and her sole purpose was to cling to the humanity she holds inside the body of a monster.

Reaching the bar she pulled up the collar of the bomber jacket she wore over a black tank top and faded jeans, even though the night wasn't too chilly the jacket helped hide Frostwolf; her sword which fit along her spine. The sword was a gift from her viking father and those years ago. Alisster Spotted Vergil in a booth towards the back looking a bit grim. She sat down ready to hear the new assignment.

"Good to see you Alisster it's been about four days since I last spoke to you, I hope the last mission went well. Anyways there's a vampire causing some trouble downtown and this person needs to be taken care of quick and clean."

"Consider it done Vergil, just give me all I need and this pest will be gone in no time "

The words spoken in her scandanavian accent were straight and to the point  how everything was for Alisster Rose the vampire Valkyrie. Her cold ice blue eyes scanned the files Vergil handed her and she sat back reading everything to prepare for the new hunt. Looking up from the paperwork her eyes would scan the bar for anyone and everyone.

Click clack of the heels of his gray, western-like boots along the pavement of the sidewalk. The shadows was a friend that he alone understood like a combination of the undead versus what was unseen. A pair of black jeans and a half cotton, gray shirt was his chosen wardrobe for this eve. A French vampire whose life started as a poster boy turned to the dark ways of the fang in Germany was sent here by his beloved German-Chinese descendant maker, Caroline. He smoked some gray rings in the air as he held a cig in the right of his hand, the air of the crisp night danced about the locks of his bangs that nearly obscured his luscious, dark blue hues of the calm ocean taking in the many sights of New Orleans. America the beautiful politicians call it, he wasn't a U.S Native and held no documentations anywhere on him of his official residence here as it would look like. When you're undead, what does it matter anyway?

There was none he knew once he entered a bar that he's been to a couple of times before. He looked around to see whose who but neither of the millions of faces here struck his fancy except there was a feeling of his own kind in the distance. He turned those blue hues in the direction of a woman, a little darker that made him think of what he remembered when he scrutinized her form. Before her sat someone she was talking to but their conversation wasn't any of his business so left it at that. A minutes later he was at a corner table, a waitress came to see if he wanted something to drink. To make it look like he was a customer, he ordered. "A glass of cognac will be fine, thanks mademoiselle."There was a lot of french, creole, and quite enough people that there was enough who seemed busy around here.

The lady smiled, taking in his dark nature and graceful features. Then she smiled, flirting while jotting down what he asked for. "I should get that right away sir. Be right back."A wink of her right eyelash, she left his table to fetch his cup. A few minutes and she was there, setting his cup down in front of him. "Please do enjoy."Wasn't she all nice and cheery today? Her hair was a dark brown, a little long just touching her shoulders. She was okay, he did like the way her bottom calf moved though as far as her other body parts. He picked up the glass, placed it to his lips as if he was really drinking it. Give the eyes something to look at. To them he was sipping it but not necessarily. He was good at acting, very good.

The vampire wasn't going to be a problem at all, a swing of Frostwolf and he would not be a nuisance any longer.  This was Alisster's thoughts as she looked up from the file to Vergil; who sat there observing her closely. The years have been kind to the manwolf that sat in front of her, because of lycanthropy his true age was a bit hard to determine. Vergil was around eighty years old but looked as if in his mid-fifties.  The day they met came back to the valkyrie, it was in Germany during WW2 he was just a young boy and fighting for the britsh against the forces of Hitler. Alisster was there hunting down a rogue vampire when she came across him down an alley, the rogue vampire was following him to make the man his next meal but things turned out different as the moon shone bright in the sky he started to shift and predator became the prey.

The amazement of the change and the aftermath of the kill intrigued Alisster. She kepted her distance from him but followed until he was back in human form resting from his change back. The next night after the sun had set she went back to his home and spoke to him about her cause and Vergil became her eyes during the day.  The memory slowly faded and she was back in the here and now, to the bar by the sense of another vampire who entered. Ice blue hues roamed the bar and she caught sight of Him, trying to blend in as if a common man and not a filthy undead.

He could probably feel her gaze upon him just burning into the back of his skull. Alisster would stay there observing until he did something out of place; anything to give her a reason to use her deadly blade.  Her gaze went back to Vergil. Do not bring attention to yourself or you may ruin things . These were his words and wise ones at that. Her head turned to catch Him staring back at her with this look they acknowledged one another's presence .

He watched her watching him, he maybe trying to blend in and appear normal but it would be interesting to give people a look. See, the eyes can play tricks on millions without knowing it. The frenchman swished the liquid in his glass in the right of his hand as the gaze from the gothic-looking chick over there sat with someone apparently some colleague who was speaking with her. There was an air about her he pondered, especially she did not look like the type of girl to mess around with, then again, she might be new around here and by scrutinying her a bit more she reminded him of a certain someone. Joseph did nothing out of the ordinary and even if he did, it would never have been anyone in this bar.

Too many long years in the vampire courts readied him for anything and all things. Her gaze would have made many flinch or cringe with death, he stayed where he was unless she gave him a good reason to use his rapier. Trained by his maker, he wasn't this lowlife scum at the bottom of anyone's shoes but he could take on any opponent that came his way Caroline taught her childer so many long years ago before she allowed him to set out on his journey from Germany and let him prepare for what's to come on his own. A soft, sweet smile cranked his lips as she observed.

Nope, he did nothing, he's done not a thing. Joseph wasn't stupid, if he had decided to make an attack it would not have been a large crowd in a place with tons of people, unless some moron decided to scale his ego to ten then start making terrorist-like attacks then yeah, that probably may have been a move that could bring much attention. That wasn't him, besides he was a good boy doing really good things. Hah! The invisible halo tilted to the side everytime. He was a vampire and he could not lie that he did not like it, he accepted his demons the day he changed which made him one formidable adversary.
