Local Lycan Clinic (Open to Jessica first, then anyone)

-Angie rode in the back all the way to the lycanthrope clinic in New Orleans.  She stayed by the side of the gurney as it was rushed through the sliding doors and into the cool interior of the hospital.  If she had any say in the matter she would never leave his side.  And should Ishmael Goldman fail in his attempt to warp the perception of those around them then she would gladly kill anyone who tried to take him away from her.  She had done it before.  Everything was easier the second time around.-

-A doctor had been called in, Jessica MacFarland, and Angie was standing in the room beside Geller's hospital bed waiting for the doc to sweep in and work her magic.  Come on Doc, Angie thought, get to workin' that magic. Because if the doctor didn't get her ass there soon then Geller's face was going to look like Chunk from The Goonies permanently. She felt like she was going to explode or scream or both and she just kept doing whatever she could think of to help by trying to get bits of rubble and clothing out of the wounds before they healed over and attempting to soothe him with her touch and whispered words.-

It didn't take long for Jessica to arrive at the hospital, her driver (whoever it was that volunteered), trailing along behind her. Hands lifted, capturing the long length of her hair, twisting it up into a secure knot at the back of her neck as she moved to the nurses station. Her shields were wrapped tightly around her, a habit whenever in the hospital to help control the distraction of blood and pain that clung to the building as well as toning down the presence of her own strength, easing the wariness that sensitive humans felt in the presence of a predatory cat.

"Carrie," she called to the charge nurse as she entered the secure area where shifters were treated, "the chart?"

The nurse looked up at she entered, relief flooding her features, "Dr. McFarland. I'm so sorry we had to call you but you'd always said..."

"I know I know, any unconscious shifters should be considered potentially dangerous and to call me. Its all right. I'm just glad I was back in the city." She accepted the chart offered to her, giving a quick smile to the nurse before focusing on the data captured on the chart. "Blood test results aren't here. Did you rush the labwork?" Dammit, she was going to have to deal with that later, the lab was supposed to always prioritize shifter samples so they knew what they were dealing with. "Get with the lab and get me those results!" The words snapped from her as she moved to the room where the patient was held, head still bowed over the chart. "I'm Dr. McFarland..." the scent, beneath the blood and grime on the patient, it was familiar.

"Oh shit." Chart was tossed onto the table and then she was moving at the preternatural speed she rarely showed in the hospital. The nurse at Geller's side, because yes, she recognized the scent as Geller, the lost wolf that everyone at the Hookah was concerned about, was brushed out of the way as she began her exam. "Call Silent and Milo, Geller's here." Words directed over her shoulder to her driver before she went to work.

He was healing too fast, dirt and debris being sealed in his skin. "Scapels and a debriding kit, Now!" Words snapped to her staff. "Restraints on him, when we start working he might fight the pain." She hated this part, having to restrain someone but it was necessary sometimes, drugs sometimes just didn't work on shifters. "Strip him down."

Her staff was moving as quickly as they could milling around the bed to follow her directions, she took up a scapel herself, wincing slighty before schooling her features into a mask, taking the blade to his features, slicing over the seemingly 'scarred' areas where skin had grown over concrete and dirt. No need for gloves, there was little chance he could infect her after all, the nurse at her side deftly slapping sponges into her hand for her to clean away the dirt, his skin knitting as she watched. "hell, even this injured, he's healing... " She murmured the words, stunned at the speed. This was almost as bad as trying to treat Milo. She filed it away for later, needing as much speed and focus as she could to keep ahead of his healing, doing her best to ignore the heady scent of blood coating her hands. "He needs more blood. Carrie, do not call, go down yourself and get more. Dammit..." She moved down his body, reinjuring when necessary, quick slashes of the scapel to free his skin of invading debris, ensuring all bones were as they should be, losing track of time as she worked.

-When Jessica pushed her aside from the bed there was a moment that Angie's face lost the mask of perfection she usually wore to hide her true nature from the world.  Her adorable features contorted into something closer to the pure evil that pulsed through her veins and just the slightest traces of blue fire sparked and licked at her fingertips before she reigned it in.  The doctor was busy at her work and that was enough to quickly collect her cool again, glad that no one had seen the momentary loss of composure.-

"What's his name.  Doctor.  Doctor.  Give us a name so we can check his records."

-She was distracted but at the mention of records it seemed to bring the doctors attention back.  When Jessica gave the name Charles Geller Angie turned to leave the room just long enough to have a little conference with one of the police officers who had followed them from the scene.-

"The victim is a Charles Geller.  I'm sure he has family that will want to be notified."

-The cop took a note on his pad then pressed the control device on the walkie talkie clipped to his shoulder rig and let someone on the other line know who they had in the hospital.  No doubt the cops would be waiting around, wanting to question Geller when the doctor gave her approval.  Turning to go back into the room she melded into those helping Jessica, handing her what she needed, wiping her brow.  Angie played the part of a nurse perfectly, hidden by the soft embrace of Ishmael Goldman's power.-

"There was an explosion, he was thrown free of the blast but you'll want to turn him over after you finish with the face, there's sure to be burn damage." -Angie was answering the woman's questions since she had been at the scene.  A small metal basin was held in her hands, something for Jessie to deposit the bits of concrete and debris into as she worked to make sure Geller's face didn't heal with such objects inside him..- "He was the only one alive at the scene."
-Looking as his face as it was feeling was killing her.  Mid-procedure the drugs they had given him wore off, his eyes opened, and she could see his face contort with pain.  He didn't cry out and Angie thought better of him for that.  His black and silver eyes were trying to look around him, to see what was happening, but all too soon another nurse came and administered more drugs into his system with the doctors permission.  I love you, Angie thought, just hold on Nico.-

When Milo had told Theo and Alex to break all traffic laws to get them to the hospital quickly, well....Theo apparently had taken him at his word. Alex curled into the seat, holding onto her seat belt, and had eye's squeezed shut as she stayed as close to Jess as she could manage. Though each time they went around a corner, and Alex was jostled and tiped into the door, she had to bite back the little whimpers of pain that wanted to escape her.

Once they were at the hospital, the two rats and Alex trailed after Jess, staying out of the way, and trying to remain as unobtrusive as possible, untill they entered the room of the patient Jess had been called in to work on, and Alex's eye's went wide, as deep breath was taken, and that familar scent hit her nose. The hell??? hadn't they all just been looking for Geller??

When Jess snapped out to call Milo and Silent and tell them they'd found the packs Freki, Alex nodded and pulled the temporary, disposable phone from her pocket, stepping out to call Silent. Who she figured would pass the message to Milo.

Fuck...there was too much of this shit going on at once....

Trying to keep all the names and faces straight had been giving him a bit of a headache.  He wondered two things as they drove towards the hospital.  One, he wanted to know how in the hell Geller's family hadn't realized he was missing for nearly two months. And two....see, he'd forgotten two, that was the kind of week it had been.  He still smelled like the last corpse he'd dusted for god's sake.  With a sigh he adjusted himself in the seat as Llidya was parking to look into the back at Nike.

"Llidya and I are here on business.  Executioners and cops showing up with vampires is a bad idea.  Would you mind letting us do in first and then coming in seperately?"

Ash was actually trying to be polite.  He knew Nike was itching with energy to see about Geller, but ruining he and Llidya's investigation wouldn't help Geller.  Not really waiting for a full answer he and Llidya climbed out of the Hummer and moved towards the door.  They were both still dressed in rumpled clothes, shoulder rigs in place, looking like a couple out on a double homicide date.  Moving in unison they entered the hospital through the sliding doors and Ash felt the coolness of the air conditioning whisper against his skin.

The place was seething with activity, but that was pretty normal for a hospital.  Making their way towards the room the seargent had given him Ash calmly untacked the Federal Marshal badge from his back hip. He assumed cops would be checking new arrivals and if a Federal badge didn't cause them to back up then a call to the local RPIT Department certainly would.  He and Llidya were officially tasked to this case, and though he might be polite and work nice with the local PD for a time he was not a man who let people stand in his way.

As they moved past a waiting area he saw Alex slumped in a chair and when she saw him going passed he just slightly raised a hand to stop her from coming over.  Ash had to talk to the cops first, but he quickly motioned with one finger, the universal sign for give me a minute, to let her know he wouldn't forget that she was there.  For only a moment his lightning kissed blue eyes glanced at the rat brothers, remembering them from the strip club with Milo, but then he and Llidya were past the waiting room.

Finally, nearing the room where Jessica was operating they ran into a cop who stopped them.  There had been some closer to the waiting room, but they were clearly there to keep visitors from going back, not to keep other law enforcement out.  This was a detective, note the plainclothes and cheap tie.  Ash let his hard gaze spiked with neon fire look the man over as he and Llidya showed him their badges.  They explained who they were and what they were doing there and after a moment of looking supremely unhappy the man told them what he knew.

Ash pushed everything else out of his mind.  Dee would get to Silent, Silent would take care of the rest.  How the rats fit in he had no idea.  Right now though he couldn't think about any of that.  Letting those things fall aside he concentrated on what the officer said and could see Llidya's head nodding slightly. They were both taking mental notes at the speed of light, even though the information being gathered was scant and hardly sufficient.

"We'd like to be there when you speak to the patient." Ash glanced at Llidya and they seemed to communicate agreement without talking. "My partner will stay here with you and call my phone when we can go in."

Leaving Llidya to cop talk (she was better at it than him anyway) Ash moved up to the door of Geller's hospital room.  His silver shields blocked his power so well that he doubted Jess would know he was there, not because he didn't want to comfort her, but because he'd rather not distract her.  He looked at Jess hard at work, at the many nurses, and at what he could see of Geller's body crumpled in the bed.  Today was not a good day.  Moving away from the door he took out his cell and called the station as he went back towards the waiting room.  One of the desk guys answered and Ash spoke quickly in that clipped British voice.

"Redfern here.  We're at the hospital now.  Patient is still in surgery and we're waiting for an interview.  Call me when the bomb squad and rush crew finish on the scene.  I want a scanned emailed copy of their results in my inbox before the ink dries on the reports."

The phone was hung up.  He and Llidya weren't needed at the scene until the bomb squad finished and those people took their sweet ass time.  When the call came in one or both of them would go check the scene depending on whether Geller was awake by then or not.  Slipping his phone back in his pocket he moved towards where Alex was sitting under the guise of interviewing the patients relatives.  See, normal detective work guys, just checking out the family to see what they know.  Nothing strange here, just keep your distance.

"You alright?"

Ash asked Alex the question before letting his eyes slide again to the two rats with her.  He took a seat in a chair across from Alex.  He wanted to hug her, hold her, let his power slide over her as he would have when he was her Ulfric, but this was neither the time or the place.  He wanted to know how Alex had ended up here before anything else and why the rats were involved with this Geller situation and also maybe a little about where Silent was.

"What happened at the Hookah?"

Ishmael was in the back seat of the limousine still with his head tipped back slightly to rest against the seat.  His eyes were half lidded as though he were falling asleep, but in reality he was just trying to cut off his physical world and see the world through the sphere of his power.  He had been an excellent practitioner made better by the magic of the Xetes Crystal and now he stretched his gift like a river opening up into the wide seas.  The scientist had been gagged by the driver and Ishmael was grateful for that.

He had been subtly altering the minds of those around Angie, nothing terribly intrusive, just making sure that the EMTs and hospital staff all believed that she belonged there.  They would have small memories of her at work, maybe some laughs in the break room. Nothing too specific, but enough to not make them think twice about the tiny blonde in their midst.  He needed Angie on the inside, someone to stay close to his precious experiment throughout whether he was himself or the other.  Ishmael needed full knowledge of both sides of the puzzle and Angie was more than willing to do the job.

In addition to helping Angie slip unnoticed at the scene and the hospital he used his power to create a mentally blank sphere around the car that was playing home to himself, the scientist, and their driver.  Anyone who saw would simply shrug it off, think nothing of it, and feel nothing powerful inside.  Like wiping a slate clean he kept their little slice of existence as normal and boring as possible.

And finally he had his senses open to what was going on inside the hospital.  The doctor, the police, and the visitors were of particular interest to him and he felt around inside their minds like a clever thief.  Ishmael didn't do anything per say but he collected information and visuals through their eyes and took mental stock of the life of this man who was now his creature.  He was putting the pieces together, things to be used as the experiment played out, and all the while the handsome Ishmael Goldman kept a serene if empty smile on his refined features.

Theo didn't actually break any land speed records... but he was used to getting around in Newark and Baltimore, so New Orleans didn't stand a damn chance. Neither brother had any particular affinity for hospitals, so they stayed close to Jessica and Alex, as much as they could anyway.

Jessica took off and it took him a second to catch Geller's scent. It had him frowning and he exchanged a quick look with his brother. They hadn't seen him in a long time, but they hadn't realized he was in trouble until someone brought it up at the hookah bar. He felt kind of bad - they'd been using Betwixt and Between as a venue and had just figured Geller had gotten wrapped up in work elsewhere or something.

Alex tried not to get too twitchy. He fucking hated hospitals. There were needles fucking EVERYWHERE in hospitals and like... what if he tripped and fell on one? Shit there was a reason he'd quit Skin Deep and just the thought of needles and needles poking people and things being injected or what the fuck ever had his stomach turning uncomfortably. He stayed near Theo and Alex the wolf, because... fuck, what the fuck else were they supposed to do. Then someone else came over, some guy, and he started asking about the Hookah bar. Alex's grey and white rat was kind of on lock down at the moment, mostly so he wouldn't split into his fur in a panic or something right now.

"Jess got a call and Milo sent us here with her and Alex." Theo answered, even if the question hadn't quite been posed to him. Well, Alex the wolf seemed kind of overwhelmed and out of it, and Alex the rat was probably flipping out about needles or worse, his high was coming down and he was starting to realize how many people were around. Theo looked pretty collected - he'd always had an awesome poker face - but he was unhappy and unsure.

Things seemed to have kicked into a weird high gear that he hadn't been ready before. They'd been plodding around like they always had, then it was like... like a bomb went off or something and everything happened at a panicked pace. He wanted to know what the hell happened to Geller, the guy that had employed his brother, the guy that had been pretty good to them despite not really knowing a damn thing about them. He liked the chef, and the brothers Black had wanted to invite him to the Killjoys' last show at Betwixt and Between, you know, in an official kind of way. Who the fuck knew when all that was going to happen now? Theo eventually sat down because he felt like he needed to. His beast, a sleek grey rat, was as aggitated as he was, mostly by the sheer amount of activity going on in the hospital as much as by the scents and sounds assulting them. Nevermind the sudden reappearence of the king rat.

Theo glanced up and grabbed his brother's hand to keep Alex from wandering off or freaking out as he came down off the coke. With his other hand he retrieved his phone and popped a quick text to Otis to let him know Geller had apparently been found. Maybe Alex the wolf was doing the same thing to Milo but whatever. Now it was confirmed by two sources.

"I'm okay," Alex said kind of automatically when Theo grabbed his hand, then he realized Theo hadn't even said anything. Whoops. Yeah, he was kind of worried about Geller now too. What was he doing in the fucking hospital?

The questions from the cop were ignored, focusing on her patient, besides, that's what nurses were for, to communicate information to the family while the doctor was busy working on the patient. The more she worked though, the more she frowned. There were signs of malnutrition, dehydration, wounds that appeared to have occurred before the explosion and yet he was healing at a phenominal rate. "Carrie... did we get the blood work back?" There was something else going on here. Geller was strong, that was clear but this strong? It made no sense.

Carrie spoke up, reading from the updated chart she had, "Signs of lycanthropy virus, wolf strain. Heightened white cell count, platelets extremely high, other then that all results are normal."

Jessica blinked, pausing to stare at the nurse. "Normal? What the hell?" She shook her head, going back to her task, clearing the last of the debris from his front before straightening. "Alright, we need to turn him, careful with the restraints. Bring burn kits, I want another line with a wide open glucose feed and tell the kitchen that we need high protein meals. He's healing so rapidly he's using all his researves and he'll need to refuel asap."

She stepped back, letting the nurses and residents assisting flip Geller to his stomach before stepping in again and starting to work on the burned flesh along his back. "More debriding kits. There's going to be fresh skin beneath but we have to get the damaged flesh off him." She tightened her shields around her further, distancing the Great Cat within her further from what she was doing. Blood and burned flesh was enough to make even the strongest shifter get twitchy after all.

"Let's go people. He's going to wake soon and I'd rather not still be skinning him when he does."

+ He was dreaming.  Or at least he was pretty sure it was a dream.  His eyes parted slightly and he saw the leopard Jessica, Milo's main squeeze, leaning over him.  He couldn't be sure but it looked like she was going to kiss him and she didn't look happy about it.  Geller was in no position to object himself because his entire world seemed to be a big shit sandwich of pain.  Mingled in with that pain was the bizarre and disturbing sensation of his body healing at a rate so rapid that it wasn't anywhere close to pleasent.  Then something happened and he was washed away on some kind of pleasure cruise.+

+Yes, this was better.  The pain was gone and his eyes were open all the way now, at least, in this dream they were.  This dream was much better than the last one with the strange Jessica kiss.  Here he wasn't hurt at all, and here he could just begin to make out little sweet glimmers of light.  They were nice.  He didn't question them much but let them lead him on a swirly twirly little trip through the darkness. Somewhere in all that pitch black he could smell his friends, his family, he felt them close but couldn't see them.  Everything was just sort of.....yeah....nice.  Whatever they had him on, it was better than heroin had been back in his human years.+

+Alongside him a big black wolf stalked only now and then glancing up at Geller with eyes that matched his own.  They walked together until they came to a place where the lights disappeared, a precipice of sorts where he knew that he could either jump off and become one with the abyss or turn back.  How he knew that though was anyone's guess.  The whole place was black on black like Johnny Cash, but it just had a feeling of being that kind of place.  Geller felt the desire to lift his arms at his side and fall, let the wind whisper against his skin just like he and his little brother used to do on the bluffs when they were kids, except back then they never even thought about jumping off.+

+Behind him he felt...something.  It wasn't really a sound or a smell, but he and his wolf both turned to look.  The only way he could tell that the figure was far away was because it was so small.  It was a man, standing and facing Geller and his beast and staring at them with eyes that glowed red in the darkness.  His glowy eyes weren't as nice as the glimmery lights.  In fact, this guy was totally bringing Geller down.  Wide lips curled downward in a frown as he watched the man.  Then the figure moved towards them so quickly that it looked like a tape being sped up, his movements were like shuffling jerks, but he sure moved fast.+

+Geller's wolf growled and the man grabbed Geller by the arms and shook him.  It was then Geller realized that the man was him.  Only...not quite him.  The mans red eyes burned and his breath smelled like an open grave.  He shook Geller and Geller just wanted to tell him to back off, they could share the glimmery lights and the nice windy precipice, but only if the guy got ahold of some tic-tacs stat.  The wolf growled again and the man was still shaking him, his mouth was moving but Geller couldn't hear what he was saying because the wind was picking up and Geller was pretty sure that they were both going to blow over the precipice soon.  Then his beast lunged and as it was airborn time seemed to stop, the beast grew and grew until it was just an enormous gaping mouth and then it fell upon them, swallowing them whole.+

"FUCKKKKKKKK!"

+In the hospital bed Geller jerked so hard that the restraints snapped leaving red welts across his upper body as he tried to sit up and found himself still restrained in his lower half.  The pain swallowed him, the dream was gone, and though he had no idea how he'd gotten there he knew where he was.  Biting down on the soft insides of his cheeks he forced himself to lay still again in the bed, his voice a low rumble when he spoke to Jessica.+

"Just do it Jessica.  Finish it.  But don't put me out again."

+The beeps of machinery, the nurses he'd seen momentarily, and now he knew that Jessie hadn't been trying to kiss him at all.  He remembered the explosion, waking up in that weird room, but everything from Jenna's house to the point where he woke up was still just gone.  Arms at his side he let his fingers dig into the bed to steel his will and keep himself from moving.  Then a warm hand touched his forehead softly, he felt that hand dab at him with some kind of ointment and through eyes pinched nearly shut he looked up and saw the face of the tiny blonde nurse who was helping him.  He didn't know why, but looking into her crystal blue eyes he felt better.  Felt like he could stay calm and still and let Jessica do whatever the hell she was doing to him.+

What was it they said...out of the fire and into the volcano? Llidya knew that wasn't right. It wasn't the case, the nest and then the next call that was the metaphor. It was her and Ash. The first couple of nights they were in the same known vicinity of each other, him bailing her out of jail, and then he tried to leave on a job without her.

Llidya liked to think she got the look from her mother. You know the one that almost everyone's mother has, the one that can look right through you, demanding answers without having to ask. She thought it worked on Ash so well due to the lost memories of his childhood. When he tried to leave, she'd been waiting, fully dressed in jeans and a button up, guns holstered and hair pulled back. So they'd left, together. She'd stayed focused, had to actually concentrate on concentrating now that he was so close, sitting next to her in the car while driving, hunting down and beheading members of the next. The shower was the first time Llidya had really relaxed the entire trip, and when she got out, got dressed and walked out of the bathroom drying her hair...the look on his face said it all. Llidya wasn't angry, as a matter of fact, she just wanted to laugh at how the two of them never seemed to catch a break.

Ash indicated going to pay the motel clerk and Llidya nodded, taking a moment to simply watch him walk away before grabbing the rest of their gear. This last job was different. Now that she was a lycan, she could move just as well as he could. Granted, it had taken about a week or two to perfect it, but once she observed him and came to understand it, the two of them went together like blood and chocolate. They barely needed to communicate in military hand signals when moving in on the last few members of the nest. Now it seemed they just looked at each other and knew exactly what they each needed to do. It wasn't as if she could hear his voice...it seemed more primal than that. She jumped into the driver's seat and pulled up to the office, waiting only a moment before Ash walked out and climbed in and they were off.

By the time they got to Gellar's place, Llidya knew everything Ash did. She remembered meeting Gellar once, very briefly, in New York when he'd stopped by the Bronx Bar. Llidya strolled inside after Ash and plopped on the couch, letting him take lead. After all, he was more familiar with everyone here, and it gave her time to appreciate the view. Llidya's apparent nonchalance at the situation had taken years to perfect. Really, after being a statue and being manipulated by supernatural beings...nothing really surprised her anymore.

That trademark Chapman smirk curled her lips as he began to speak, watching the way he moved about the room. The second sentence out of his mouth after his phone rang wiped any expression from her face and she was standing almost by the time he turned around. Something was up.

Again they were leaving. Coming, going, never in one place too long it seemed lately. Then a vampire stepped in front of them, and Llidya only mentally shrugged, but nodded at Ash.

At the hospital, Llidya took everything in through her Bahamas-clear water hues with a glance. Her badge was on her hip, glinting occasionally in the bright light of the hospital. The lights made her grimace a bit. She still didn't like it.

Ash left her with the detective, and she looked down at the man, that trademark Chapman smirk slipping across her lips as she slouched a little bit. She knew she could cut an intimidating figure being a woman of her stature.

"Stoley right?" The detective glanced up at her askance and nodded. Llidya pretended to look around, but really she was watching Ash, letting herself be a little distracted while she shot the shit with the man. "Yeah I heard about that double homicide you worked back in January. Nice work. You were the lead on that right?"

Dee was not one to drive a sports car or a soccer mom's mini-van, or a girly Volkswagen Bug. No, Dee drove a custom painted, military green Hummer H3 Tactical Limited Edition. And how did she afford such a tank of a vehicle? Well, let's just say it was "inherited." Actually, she bought it with her savings she had saved up for years, as well as a building for her upcoming firearms store, but enough about that. When Silent took shotgun and Milo jumped in the back, her military black boot slammed on the gas pedal, and the Hummer took off down the street like a bat out of hell. And yes, they were all safe. She made sure that she slowed down while turning corners, stopping fully at stop signs, obeying traffic lights, slowing down to the speed limit while passing a cop, and all other law abiding citizen things, but when it was clear, her foot just really had a mind of its own.

When they arrived at the hospital, the Hummer squeeked to a hault, and the three of them stepped or jumped down from the Hummer, literally. Venus wasn't with them because she was still in New York, and Dee remembered Venus telling her this before she left that she wanted to start a new life. She didn't blame the woman at all. Dee spotted a black limosine hanging out in the parking lot, but didn't think anything of it, and kept walking towards the hospital.

The automatic doors flew open, and Dee was immediately greeted by many police officers, the hospital staff, and a few recognizable faces. Ash and Llidya were with the police, and Alex and the two rats were in the waiting room. None of them actually looked like they were happy here, especially the rat that was fidgeting like a....rat..? She did recognize one of the rats, the one with the bright red hair. She remembered one night saying that he had vaginal blood colored hair, and well, a friendship didn't really develop after that. No time for any of that, it was Geller she was here for. Her Hair Gel that raised her as his own pup, and taught her everything he knew about being a werewolf, helping her shape into the strong, brute mighty one she is today. And really, if it wasn't for her or Zoe sending out mass text messages to everyone about Geller's odd disappearance, no one would have known. Well not immediately anyways. Hell, she didn't even know immediately until she arrived at the house and realized he wasn't there, and neither was Venus.

Dee sat down in a vacant, uncomfortable chair in the waiting room across from the rats and Alex, and folded her arms into her chest, sitting absolutely quiet until someone came out with an update. She overheard Ash's conversation on the phone when he came out of the OR and back into the waiting room, mentioning that Geller was still in surgery. She didn't care how long she waited; minutes, hours, days...She wasn't leaving until Geller woke up, and she would take him back to the house and take care of him just like he took care of her. This wasn't love or infatuation or some fling between herself and Geller; it was friendship and loyalty. Well, she would stay as long as she can until Silent told her to leave since she's the Ulfric.

After getting off the phone with Silent, Alex had curled up into one of the couches in the waiting room, and had her arms held tightly around her knees, thighs pressed against her upper body as if that might help keep things from hurting more. Sitting here, tensed like this wasn't helping anything. Her gaze kept flicking from the TV in the waiting room that nobody was paying attention to, to the brothers, to the door, to....

She caught the scent of the Highlands before anything else, and breath hitched. Grey blue eye's intent on the door as Ash appeared in the doorway, walking with Llydia. Starting to unfold herself form the couch, she caught his look and that motion. Wait....She could do that...

Settling back, she'd just rested her forhead ontop of her knees, when Ash came back again. Lifting her tired, and strained featured face to look at him, with eye's that kept giving flashes of Xavier's looks from her face, she took a breath. She wanted to launch herself into his arms. To hold onto him and not let go for awhile. Curl up in his lap, and fall asleep knowing she was actually safe, and she wasn't going to wake up back in that fucking basement again. The need was so strong, she damn near did it. But the badge that was clipped to his clothing stopped her.

That was one thing she wouldn't fuck with, was his job. She knew what it ment to him. Takeing a breath to steady herself, she blinked and looked towards Theo when he answered the question. Then nodded. "Laney dropped me at the Hookah...Nyx was there...Sil came after...We were just starting to talk when Milo and Jess and Otis came in with some guy i've never seen...." Her accent was so thick it was a wonder anyone could understand her. Sounding even more like a hillbilly...sounding like..well....Xavier. Even starting to take on his speech patterns a bit.

"Jess looked me over....She said she was needed here....Milo said go with her....so she could check me out when she was done with her patient...when we got here...It was Him...I could smell him...I knew it was him...I...I don't really know what's going on though....other than that....."

Biteing at her bottom lip, she had to close her eyes. head comming down to her knees again. Her voice soft and muffled, and probably only Ashes would hear it. "....m'so tired....don't know what's going on...."

-Milo and Silent had gone with Dee from the Hookah to the hospital.  He rode sprawled out in the back and let Sil sit up front.  It wasn't all about being a gentleman.  When you were as lanky as he was more room was usually better.  It was why he preferred to cruise on a bike rather than being boxed into a car.  When they got to the hospital he was at least thankful for the fact that he'd listened to Jessie that morning and put on a shirt.  Still, as big as he was and with all the tattoos and that energy that rolled around him like wildfire the cops were giving him a lot of looks.  Milo ignored it with his usual lip sneering indulgence.-

-He saw Ash and Llidya doing the cop thing and though he was tempted to give them the usual licks or bone crunching hugs he restrained himself.  See! He was being good damn it.  Making his way to the waiting room where Ash was talking to Alex and Alex and Theo (Ha) he took up one of the chairs near the boys.  Without asking he reached towards Alex Black and took the boys hand in his letting that roll of energy slip from skin to skin and soothe the nervous rat like a whisper, a jolt to the senses that would put the younger rat within him into a comotose state; call it rat nip for the lycan soul.-

"We left some of the others back at the Hookah waiting for news.  You boys are welcome to go back there if you'd rather.  Or you can stay."

-His head nodded towards Silent, obviously his second in command Otis was still at the Hookah keeping guard.  Milo wasn't really sure how much the brothers were connected to Geller so they could make their own choice on where they preferred to be.  Letting his long legs stretch out in front of him he reclined back into the chair, his hand staying in Alex's the whole while as if they were on a really fucked up date.  Screw the cops and their nervous glances.  Ash wasn't gonna let anything get out of control and Milo was keeping himself on good behavior while they waited for any news.  After the frenetic pace that had brought them all here it was bizarre to suddenly be around so much intense silence.  But, even Milo could enjoy a chance to be still.....as long as it didn't happen too often.-

Jessica had seen Geller's eyes open, just that slow flicker in the moments before she had him turned over. It was why she was pressing her team for time now. If he was starting to wake up they had little time left to deal with the burns along his back.

They'd barely had him turned over, the restraints being tightened when suddenly he surged upwards.

"FUCKKKKKKKK!"

His cry had her moving, hands to his shoulders, not 'forcing' him back down to the bed but definitely urging him to relax. "Easy, easy we got you." Her voice calming, shields enough to allow the warmth of the own power to caress him. And it was a caress, and intimate warmth, a precursor of her own healing touch. It was something she rarely did in the hospital, something she rarely did in front of an audience but she wanted him calm again or else she'd have to clear the room of her staff. They'd all done as she'd trained them, humans unable to safely assist at the moment so they'd retreated from the bed, leaving her alone.... except for the one petite blond nurse. The one that had been with him on the scene apparently. It was all she could do not to growl at the girl to back away with the others but then Geller settled again.

"Just do it Jessica.  Finish it.  But don't put me out again."

She watched him prepare himself on the bed, easing slowly back from him, drawing her own power back behind her shields again. "Alright. No drugs. At this point I'd have to use a silver solution to keep you out anyway." The silver laced sedatives were something she refused to use unless there was no other choice. They were effective but the amount of potential damage they could cause made her loathe to use them.

"C'mon people, lets get moving. He's doing to be in pain until we clear away burned skin and allow him to heal. Release those restraints, we don't need them. Right Geller? You... Angie..." The blonds name was just there she hadn't recalled it before but that's how it happened sometimes, "I know its not standard for burns but there's fresh skin beneath, fresh saline to wash over all the areas we finish debriding."

Her hands were in motion as she spoke, firm and quick as they working along his back first, scapel used only when necessary to cut away the most damaged flesh.

"You're healing so quickly its a race. New skin is forming under the burned flesh. That's why you're feeling so tight, so restrainted. And your body is eating up all its reserves to heal. Soon as we can we'll get you eating, I have high protein meals coming your way."

Her voice soft, talking to her patient, letting him know just what was happening, giveing him something else to focus on other then the pain.

"Everyone's been told where you are. I'm sure the pack if forming outside, ready to help however they can."

He was almost done, the pain, should be easing soon except for the rush of healing his body was going through.

Alex exhaled slowly, closing his eyes when Milo took his hand and just kinda... helped him out. Yeah. Okay, he was good. He was okay. "Thanks," he mumbled, not even realizing he'd needed it until it happened. And, you know, without asking or anything either he just kind of sat on Milo because it seemed like a good idea. And he needed to sit. And Milo was just kind of right there.

Theo glanced over and let his brother's other hand go and folding both of his own. Milo had it covered. "We're good here, for now, I guess. I mean... I kinda wanna know what happened." They weren't necessarily CLOSE to Geller the same way everyone else seemed to be, but still. The guy helped them out and he just wanted to be sure he was okay. "If it gets too crowded here we'll just go home or something." Or maybe back to the hookah bar, they'd make that decision when it came up.

"This is just too fucking weird." Shit like this didn't happen in real life, did it? Then again, Theo would have said the same thing about being infected in a street fight and plenty of other things that had happened to him since then.

On the way to the hospital Silent contemplated Euridacee because thinking about her was a lot easier than thinking about the shit storm swirling around all of them.  Dee seemed able to lead and also able to follow orders without useless arguing....good traits to have.  And yes perhaps she was a bit too eager to jump into the fray without thinking but Silent also had a habit of doing things without checking around first so who was she to call that a bad quality.  Now was hardly the time for pack talk but Silent would be keeping an eye on Dee and once things settled down and the pack could get back into some kind of rational order she was already thinking about offering her a position in the ranks.  When they got to the hospital Silent saw Llidya and Ash first and there was a moment of...yea...best to leave that alone for now.  Following next to Milo she was dwarved by his height but added more odd to the image they were presenting.  Not that the group in the waiting room could possibly look more odd.  As Milo sat with the rat brothers Silent took a seat on the other side of her Alex and instantly began to run a hand up and down the wolfs back letting her own energy calm the other woman.  She knew Ash wanted to....knew her couldn't....but she was here to take care of it.  She was Ulfric now.  Listening to the conversation her eyes kept going from Ash to the room where she could pick up Geller and Jessie's scent wafting from.  How in hell had all this happened? Then Milo's phone was going off and he was relaying more bad news to her.  Concerned eyes looked at Ash because for so many years with the pack that was where the answers had come from but times had changed things.  Letting out her breath n a huff she turned to Milo and let her mind think about who was back at the Hookah, who was here, and how much danger they might be in....
"Trent lives at Geller's.  He'll know Zoe's scent best.  Tell Nyx to send Trent and Lou to look for Zoe and if they find anything tell them to call you or Ash right away.  Tell them not to try to go into anything even a little suspicious by themselves.  Have Nyx, and Sirus stay at the Hookah to watch the new guy and answer the phone.  And send...." Shit who else was there. She looked at Milo for help... "Can Remi or Karma go to the airport?"
Holy hell balls this was getting confusing.  Letting Milo call Nyx back she listened as he relayed the message and made some additions of his own.  After that was done Silent sank back in her chair and looked from face to face around the waiting room.  A loud FUCCKKKKK had shattered the quiet air and she knew Gellers voice at once.  It made the hairs on the back of her neck stand on end and her beast rolled in a sea of agitation that she tried to stuff aside.
"This town just ain't right..." It was all she would say.  She was the Swamp Queen, and she loved her city, but damned if it wasn't a hell pit of craziness.

Ash could see the strained look on Alex's features and feel the tiredness coming over her in waves.  It was true that he wanted to reach out to her and let his beast whisper its presence against her skin, but this was not the place; not with police and hospital staff watching.  Ash was here in an official capacity that went against whatever he was to the wolves.  It was his old conflict, always there.  The conflict between who he was as a wolf and who he was as a man.  Slipping the money clip from his pocket he slid some dollar bills off the top and held them out to Alex.

"I'm sure Jessie can sort you out soon pet.  Get some coffee or sodas from the vending machine.  The caffeine will make you feel better until then." His eyes flicked sidelong at the rat Alex who looked strung out.  "Something chocolate wouldn't hurt either."

Handing Alex the money he let his fingers clasp hers just a moment longer, giving them a squeeze, letting her know covertly that he was here for her.  Chocolate was the worlds answer to coming down.  Since he was someone who'd never really done any illegal drugs he was getting that information from friends, and the multitude of bizarre things he picked up on the job.  Eyes alit on Theo and he gave the man a somber nod, from Ash it was the equivalent of shouting thank you from a loud speaker, letting Theo know he had heard him and appreciated the information.

He could hear Llidya behind him speaking to the officer on the door and it was comforting to know that she was there.  Though Ash had run divisions before, been a Federal Marshall for years, and held the highest legal kill count in the nation he still didn't fit in with the big bad blue.  It was because he'd never really been a cop so they saw him as an interloper bursting in through the back door.  Llidya could get information from cops that he couldn't.  It was just that simple.

Ash could feel Milo before he saw him and Silent and Dee were sensed shortly afterwards.  The waiting room looked like a magazine ad for some kind of alternative clothing company now.  Pushing up from his seat Ash crossed his arms over his chest in a relaxed fashion.  Milo was talking to his rats, deciding whether they would stay or go, and Silent was comforting Alex now as well.  Watching it from the outside it made him have to stuff down memories to keep any expression from marring his face.

With the ringing of Milo's cell phone the whole world tipped on its axis again.  Someone else missing.  More things going wrong.  The black line of his brows furrowed and slight lines stood out on his forehead.  Could the cases be connected? Llidya had heard of course (Milo wasn't exactly quiet) and she was moving towards them in no time.  Ashes mind started running through scenario's even as Silent was giving Milo her roll call.

Ash felt torn.  The part of him that was wolf wanted to be there when Geller woke up, to make sure he was alright.  The part of him that was a detective and executioner wanted to get out of there and figure out who had done this so that he could solve the problem with a silver bullet or ten.  And the part of him who was Geller's friend wanted to go find Zoe, because he knew that it was what Geller would want most of all.  Letting the air out of his lungs slowly he could feel the muscle in his cheek jump slightly as he said,

"Wait. Milo." Before Milo could give the full instructions to Nyx Ash interjected by turning to Silent.  He was trying to keep him voice low and even so that the human officers wouldn't hear him. "You're the Ulfric now, not me.  Geller needs you here now, not me.  And.."

Turning to where Llidya stood he already had an apologetic look on his face.  Both Silent and Llidya were owed major conversations and every day it seemed like more and more was getting in the way of that.  "you've always been a better investigator anyhow.  You stay, interview Geller when Jessie will let you, check the scene, and then call and fill me in.  If you get any leads I'll be there to help, but until then I'm going to go meet Trent and Lou to go look for Zoe."

Yes.  For once he was going to try a different route.  He'd listened to the wolf about leading the pack and he'd listened to the Dark Passenger when he'd left New York, and neither of those things had done anyone any good.  Maybe this new choice would be better.  You can't save them all...the Dark Passenger mocked him, but Ash was too distracted to pay it any mind.  "And Milo, maybe you should send Otis to the airport instead.  If people are getting picked off then it's better not to take any chances until we know more.  Just have Otis bring Maya here and I'll do the same when we find Zoe.  And if you could give Jessie lots of loving she just might forgive us all for bombarding the hospital like this."

Yes, he said when about finding Zoe not if...this group didn't need any if's right now.  The Hookah was fortified.  They would still have Sirus, gun-toting Laney, and some other rats there as guards, plus Silent could always call in the Captain if she felt it was necessary.  Right now Ash just wanted to find Zoe as soon as possible. To Milo he added, "Tell Lou and Trent to meet me back at Geller's house.  We'll start tracking her there."

Without much more to say to the congregation as a whole he turned to walk a few paces away and have a small conference with Llidya.  Their head bowed together and they spoke low.  Llidya was good at her job.  Ash had nothing but faith that she would handle this side of the case perfectly and fill him in on what she thought he needed to know.  They weren't officially partners yet, but it was sure shaping up to look like that was where they were headed.

"I don't know what the hell all this is about but let me know anything that you find out that might be useful.  While you're waiting for the doctors to let you in to see Geller can you call the station? Check any local pick ups or finds that might have something to do with Zoe. And.....would you mind riding with the black and whites if you have to leave here? I could use your car about now."

He hated to ask that, but his Hummer had been left with Laney and he needed a way out.  Taking the keys he mouthed the words thank you and paused for a moment, as if there was more to say, but the words wouldn't come now.  He hoped she understood.  Keys in hand he didn't wait for any more explosions.  They would all be fine.  You could save everyone, you just had to work really hard.  Or at least that was what he told himself as he headed with long purposeful strides towards the parking lot and climbed into the Hummer to race the wind towards Geller's house.  They had a young girl to find and he'd be damned if he'd be back without her.

-When Alex crawled into Milo's lap he didn't stop him.  In fact he stretched his legs out further, reclining back in the chair with his arms calmly wrapped around the other rat.  Milo was big enough that Alex had a regular jungle-jim to climb on if he wanted to.  Listening to Theo he just lifted those broad shoulders in a shrug.-

"It's a big fucking hospital.  You should stay, see your friend.  I've woken up in a hospital here in New Orleans myself." -Thin lips pulled into a giant maniacal grin- "You remember that Silent, when that punk put a shotgun full of silver shot through me? Jessie saved my fucking life that day actually.  Having people there when I woke up...I remember liking that....you two should stay."

-Milo was nodding to himself as he said it, but the trip down memory lane was interrupted by the song "Talk Dirty To Me" playing on his phone.  Alex was jostled around some as Milo slipped a hand in his pocket to retrieve his phone but soon enough the boy would be settled again.  Nyx was on the line and he listened to what she had to say then relayed the message to the people in the waiting room.  First Silent told him one thing then Ash broke in...it was a regular game of...well...telephone.  Waiting till all of it had been sorted out he put the phone back up to his ear finally to call Nyx back.-

"Alright babe here's the deal.  Send Trent and Lou to meet Ash at Gellers place, they're gonna look for Zoe.  Then send Otis to pick up this Maya cat at the airport when it's time and have him take her to the hospital.  You, Sirus, Laney, and my girls just stay put.  If any more word comes in we'll be calling you first and for fucks sake none of you wander off alone.  I think this kidnapping shit is contagious."

-He left off all the shit about what Llidya and the cops and whoever else would be doing.  Milo wasn't a complete moron and figured that what the cops were doing for the investigation didn't really need to be conveyed back to the Hookah.  Jostling Alex once again in his lap he put his phone away then relaxed and stretch out once again with the red head curled against him.  Big tattooed hands idly roamed up and down the mans back without really thinking about it.  For most lycanthropes touch was just always good.-

"I swear to fucking god, one more person goes missing and I'm calling the motherfuckin' Ghostbusters."

Alex blinked, and accepted the bills from him, folding them in her hand, and nodding her head in agreement. She'd go in a minute. Once she convinced her body it wanted to get up and get something. The arrival of Silent and Milo and another girl she didn't know, she shifted, leaning in against Silent's side, allowing that hand to run up and down her back, soothing her. She watched what was going on with half closed eyes. Wanting to just curl up and sleep more then anything else.

Listening as Milo reported that Zoe was gone, she closed her eyes. And Maya too? Alex didn't know either one, but it was the fact that people were missing that was NOT good. they didn't need anymore people missing. At least in Alex's case, they knew who had done it and knew he wasn't going to be kidnapping anymore of them. She'd seen to that. Though part of her wished Ash had just killed Xavier when he'd had the chance that night.

The squeeze of her hand had her squeezing back, and she took comfort from that as well. Was it possible to have two ulfrics? As far as Alex was concerned, Silent and Ash had been her Lupa and Ulfric for awhile now...they were her Alpha's...what title you gave them didn't matter. What mattered was that both of them were there. They cared...and they protected what was theres.

After Ashes left the waiting room, to go in search of this Zoe, Alex slowly uncurled herself from the chair with a wince, and stood. Looking to Silent. "I'll be right back....gonna get something from the vending machine..." Sil had alot on her mind right now, and Alex knew this. she just wished she could help and not be the cause of more weight. She was back a few minutes later, with a coke for herself, and a package of beef jerkey and a kitkat. an Identical purchase was in the other hand, and after she'd set her own down in her chair, she crossed to the other Alex, holding out the snacks and drink. "You look like you could use this too..." Her voice so quiet. drawl seeming to have come very close to disapearing now.

Back to her chair to snuggle against Sil, and she was nibbling at her food, and sipping at her soda. Shit had to get better soon....but what the hell was up with the bad shit always happening In nawlins?

Touch was definitely good. Alex was thinking he might just kinda fall asleep where he was. And to think, he'd been terrified of Milo for a while there. He didn't even mind getting jostled around while the big rat fished out his phone and put it back again.

"It's like the fuckin' X-Files," he agreed.

Theo just shook his head at his brother. "Well if anyone tries to kidnap you, I feel sorry for them."

"Yeah, me too."

Alex glanced up when Alex-the-wolf came over and offered him food. Uh. Hell yeah. He sat up a little to take the snacks and drink and he settled against Milo again. He eyed the king rat, then decided maybe he'd share. Maybe. Theo first though. He tossed over the KitKat. He didn't need that -and- a soda. "Thanks," he said to the wolf, flashing that dorky kind of smile that was, apparently sometimes a lady killer. Not that he was really trying. Nope. Just ignoring the fact that he was in close proximity to about a thousand million needles. Don't ask how he'd survived a tattoo. He'd been drunk as hell.

- When Alex the wolf came by with the candy offerings he winked up at her.  She was a good girl.  Crazy as a shit house rat but a good girl.  Silent was there now to take care of the wolves and Llidya was taking care of the pigs (HA) and Ash was off saving humans as usual so Milo gave another jostle to the sleepy rat in his lap.  His chin nodded towards one of the doors leading out the side of the hospital and he spoke to Theo.-

"Let's go catch a smoke.  If the storm picks up again we may not have a chance for awhile."

-Alex's body was simply lifted as Milo rose from his chair and he looked like he could do bench presses all day with Alex and not break a sweat.  In typical Milo fashion he threw the boy over one shoulder like he always did to Jessie or Tommy or pretty much anyone who ended up in his arms long enough.  Carrying the red headed rat in that way butt pointed skyward he led the way outside, making a smoking motion towards Silent so that she would know where they were going.  It was about time that he had a chance to talk in private with the two rats.-

Details of previousunsolved  kidnappings in New York, Chicago, Atlanta and a dozen other major cities were being sifted through her analytical mind as she had Stoley go over everything he knew in painstaking detail. At the same time, she was acutely aware of everything going on around her. The nurses moving within the room, the various scents and sounds coming from without. As she listened to half a dozen conversations at once, she knew how Superman must've felt picking up on cries of help all the time...at least those signals were short with a single intent. The ones around Llidya all had substance and were pertinent to the situation. If she'd been a lesser lycan she would not have been able to accomplish such a feat.

A couple of cases from L.A. and Chicago had similar details in that lycans had been taken, and there'd been that one while she'd been in Boston where the Syndicate had shown up...

Llidya nodded to Stoley when he'd finished and she shook his hand, thanking him for his time. She stepped away, head tilted up towards the ceiling as she tried to recall all the cases of lycan kidnapping in her memory. It was no easy feat, as Llidya wasn't a missing persons detective, had never been. She was only called in the on the dead ones. But everybody talked about difficult cases, and especially if they went unsolved, going cold. Her sensitive eats picked up on Ash's voice then and she turned to see him moving towards her for a small pow wow. The smile was involuntary, but she managed to contain it with a fim line of her lips.

"I'll have Carson send me anything even remotely suspicious." Carson was the desk Sargeant, and by remotely suspicious Llidya meant anything that could take on a lycan. Then he asked for her car, and she made a dramatically pained expression, but handed over the keys. "Only you Redfern. You scratch it she's yours." Her voice was so low that the teasing tone was audible to him only. "Be careful. This isn't the first time I've heard of lycans being kidnapped because they were lycans, not mistakenly." She gave him a pointed look, then stepped away, breathing deeper than neccessary to take in his scent fully before he left. She nodded at his thank you and said nothing more, turning away to talk to Stoley again about a ride.

It looked like it would still be a while before Gellar was ready to talk to anyone, as it didn't seem the doctor lady was done putting the knife to him anytime soon.

She lifted her cell phone to her ear started making phone calls. The first one was not to the station, however. That trademark Chapman smirk crossed her lips as the other end picked up.

"Hi Marge. Long time no talk to. Listen, you got a contact for Mouse?"

-Angie's crystal blue eyes sparkled as she looked down into Geller's face.  There wasn't a trace of Nico there but she knew he was somewhere.  Somewhere close.  Looking up as Jessie spoke to her she nodded and moved to do what the doctor had asked.  She was impressed that after that initial scream coming out of anesthesia Geller hadn't made a peep, but maybe that had something to do with the tiny curls of power she was using to keep him locked on her eyes, drowning in them really as Jessie peeled the skin from his back.-

"It's amazing." -She couldn't help but comment on the work that Jessie had done as she used the fresh saline as Jessica had instructed.- "He looks......almost perfect." -Between the speed of the healing and the doctors art Geller looked like with some food and a good solid nap he'd be just fine.  That was good news because it meant that some of the manipulations they'd made to this body would handle under pretty rough circumstances.  Always a good thing to know.  Would have been a pity though, to lose the experiment in the final stages.-

"Doctor?" -Angie finally let her gaze leave Geller's to look across at Jessie.- "What now?"

She nodded at Angie's comment, it was amazing the way that he was healing, amazing enough to concern her, not that she'd allow that concern to show. Later she'd go over the bloodwork again, try to get more blood from him to test, to find out what was going on but for now, for now she was focused on getting him out of pain.

"Its not unusual for there to be no scars, especially if there is no silver involved." But usually that level of healing required shifting form. She shook her head slightly, continuing to the treatment, slowly freeing Geller of the last of the confining burnt flesh. Freed of the damaged skin she could see pink tissue forming, knitting together.

She straightened slowly, looking over her patient, making sure there was no other injuries that needed her assistance in healing. "Now, now we feed him." She touched Geller's cheek gently, "You've lost weight in the healing and are probably weak. You have some IVs in to hydrate you but you should eat." She looked over at Carrie, nodding, "The kitchen should have those meals ready." Protein drinks to start, working up to solid food as his body recovered. "The police will want to talk to you when you're ready but I think you should eat first."

She looked around the room, an approving smile given to the staff still working around them, cleaning up the debris of the treatment and making things more comfortable around the room. Once Geller was ready they'd ease him over onto his back, adjusting the bed into a semi-reclined position. Trays of protein drinks were brought in along with a tray of what could only be steak. Jessica took up his chart to make further notations on it for treatment.

"I'll go and update everyone. You'll have to speak to the police before anyone else though." It was an apology of sorts. She knew he'd want to reassure the others of the Pack. She looked at Angie, "At least two of the protein drinks before any solid food." With a quick nod and smile she was out the door.

Now that she wasn't focused on her patient she could feel all the others that were out in the waiting area. Milo and Silent and lord knows who else. Once she entered the waiting room she flashed a smile at the others before looking at the police officers. "He's not ready for a statement yet." Firm words before they even attempted to ask to see him. "He'll need some more time to recover but he will be able to speak with you shortly." That was that. She moved to where Silent was, "He's alright. Everything is healing. He just needed a little help is all. He had to eat and rest but he'll be fine. I haven't asked him any details about what happened so don't ask." She chuckled tiredly, "He was battered and bruised and burned but we cleared all the damaged skin and he's healing perfectly." Too perfectly. It bothered her but she kept pushing the thought away to deal with later.

(LOG: http://wickedlabyrinth.activeboard.com/t43590599/rat-chat-milo-theo-alex/ )

-It was hard not to enjoy Alex and his fight with gravity.  When the kid stood up Milo put one lanky tattooed arm around his shoulders to keep him close.-

"Alright then, let's see how the chef's holding up."

-They went back into the hospital, perhaps a little less tense than they had been before.  At least stuff was out in the open and they could all just wait and see where it went from there.  One disaster at a time.  Milo made for Jessica who smelled like a big hung of dead flesh wrapped in yummy.  Licking his lips Milo grinned at her, liking this rosy cheeked look of efficiency she was wearing.-

"Don't forget about Alex babe.  You aren't done just yet." -His head nodded towards where Alex the wolf was sitting with Silent.- "Me and the boys'll be here when Gellers ready for visitors.  Just give us the word."

-Kissing Jessie as he passed her he made himself not do anything else, just like the cop shit was Ashes work this was Jessie's and he loved her enough to reign his insanity in while in her world.  Just like she let her freak flag fly in his world.  Moving back to their seats Milo pulled Alex into his arms again.  He was just sorta getting used to having him there.  Alex would be lucky if Milo didn't start licking and nibbling on him before the night was over.-

It didn't take long for them to get to the hospital, the little bit of a blond at his back barely affecting the way he handled the big bike as he zipped through traffic and raced through every amber light. He skidded the bike to a halt at the doors to the ER, grinning as he planted his feet to allow her to climb off. "Here you go Blondie. Call me next time you need any kind of ride." Said with an appropriate leer.

-Maya climbed off the bike with the same flare she'd used to get on the damn thing.  Trying to look dignified when you're five feet tall and your dress is wrinkled isn't easy but she tried.  Flicking her blonde ponytail back over her shoulder she gave her driver an ungrateful huff.-

"You wish Road Warrior."

-Then she was spinning on her heels and making her way through the doors of the hospital without so much as a thank you.  Normally as foul as her mouth might be she wasn't outright rude, but she'd had a hell of a last twenty four hours.  Even Keiffer Sutherland couldn't compete.  Moving into the hospital she was instantly swamped with all the scents of familiar and not so familiar lycanthropes.  The first smell she picked out of the crowd and made a beeline towards was Dee Dee.-

"Okay. I'm here! Probably gonna get an F in all my classes, but Oxford can kiss my lily white ass."

-With that she almost fell into the chair beside Dee Dee.  Enter Maya and everyone please get the hell out of her way.-

"Now for fucks sake will someone pleaseeeee fill me in."

Gravity didn't mean too much to him. And as soon as that line passed through his head Alex grabbed his pen (it was actually a little Shaprie marker) and pushed up his sleeve so he could write it down on his arm while Milo pulled him back down on his lap. If Milo really wanted to start gnawing and licking on him, Alex wasn't exactly going to put up a fight. Wasn't his M.O. Besides he was feeling somewhere between chilled out and freaked out so, he'd take whatever distraction he could get, which included sprawling on Milo like he was a couch. Might as well be, the mother fucker was big enough to be a piece of furniture, and Alex was about a foot shorter than him, at least. At 5'9" and 150 pounds wet with his boots on, he just wasn't a big guy.

If it made Alex feel any better, Theo was only a little taller (5'10") and still lighter (135 lbs). He tried to gain weight, he really did. It just never worked so he'd pretty much resigned himself to being able to slip through cracks and shit like that. Then again, like he told Milo - Alex had the temper, but he had the attitude. Both probably came from being kind of small and runty, especially growing up in New Jersey and going to public high school. They were scrappers, and they fought dirty, and they never fought alone if they could help it.

"Theo, you should wear your mohawk up."

"Dude, I'm about as coordinated as a baby gazelle. I'd somehow hurt someone with my hair."

"That'd be kinda fuckin cool. And, we're in a hospital. I mean, they wouldn't have to go far."

Theo rolled his eyes. "I thought you were gonna dye yours black."

"I am... eventually. I forgot. Shut the fuck up. We need to bleach yours again, we'll dye mine when we do that." That was an awesome idea, these two around any kind of chemicals. Obviously they hadn't killed each other yet. "We could do yours, Milo. Or hit Otis with like... a blue dye packet."

"Blue?"

"Sure, why not? I mean he's kinda dirty blonde, the shit'll show no matter what. We'd have to bleach this mother fucker first." He jerked a thumb at Milo and nearly hit the guy in the head. Hey, he'd never claimed to be coordinated.

"Blue dye packet means someone will have a red fuckin' ass." Well that was one way to say hello. Otis had strolled his ass in after parking his bike once he'd dropped Blondie off at the door. He grinned over at the other rats, shaking his head at Alex sprawled all over Milo. "What the fuck is it that you always wind up with someone in you lap Asshole?" Yes, that ever so respectful question was aimed at his King. Oh well. Theo got a hair tussle as Otis collapsed ever so gracefully into a chair, head canting a bit as he looked around. "People too fuckin' relaxed. I'm guessing we've had good news." His head back, he tipped his hat down further over his eyes, well, until the frames of his shades stopped it, and laced his fingers behind his head. Nap time... more or less

-And at last they were alone.  As Jessica left the room leaving her with orders to feed the patient Angie only nodded and waited for the doctor to leave and close the door behind her.  The stillness in the room was suddenly deafening and Angie turned slowly to look at the man laying in the bed.  As seconds turned into minutes he was literally healing before her eyes and that was something that made her delicate lips curl into a smile.  She took one of the protein shakes from the tray and slid a straw into the glass to make it easier for Geller to drink it.-

“You’ve had a rough day.” -Her crystal blue eyes watched him carefully as the right corner of her mouth turned upwards in an ironic grin.  With the toe of her white tennis shoe she hooked the leg of one of the chairs and slid it across the tiled floor closer to Geller’s bedside.- “In fact that might just be the understatement of the century.”

-One hand calmly smoothed over the back of her white scrubs before she took a seat.  Her smile never faltered and her eyes mesmerized from beneath the fringe of her blonde bangs.  Fingers held the straw in place as she leaned forward and held the drink towards him.  Geller could probably have handled the simple act of drinking on his own, but Angie wanted to be there.  It was part of the act, part of making herself indispensable to the man.  He had to trust her and she knew that there was usually a very powerful bond built when humans felt cared for.-

“Drink up big guy.  Doctor’s orders.” –She laughed lightly and  let him drink for a moment before releasing the straw.  Her dainty hand found his wrapping her warm fingers around the outside of his hand and guiding it up to hold the cup.  Another strong bond for humans came with helping one another.  Sure, this was just helping him drink a protein shake but you had to start somewhere.  Once he had hold of the glass she let it go, let him drink on his own, and went to get another of the shakes for when he’d finished the first one.-

-For a long time they just sat like that with her offering him more and him fulfilling the hunger inside himself.  Angie didn’t mind the silence, it gave her a chance to study him, watch and learn his movements.  Besides, there would be more time for screaming soon enough.  Then the stillness was broken by a voice she could only hear in her head.  A message, from the ever present Mr. Goldman.-

“Your disguise is in place.  Check in when you’ve finished.  I’ll keep the scientist with me.”

-Her smile faltered only slightly at the news that the scientist would be used as leverage.  Recovering quickly she offered him another protein shake but saw him shake his head.  Those gorgeous lips of his were moving, and she heard him start to ask her a question.  Before he could finish she laid a hand over his forearm.-

“I’m Angie.  Angie Harmon.  It’s nice to finally meet you Charles, but right now there’s a lot of other people who want to meet you. Do you think you’re ready to meet them? Or would you like to try some of this steak first?”

-The doctor had said at least two shakes, then solid food, then visitors, but Geller didn’t look like he wanted anything to do with the steak that the other nurses had brought in.  Angie couldn’t say she blamed him.  Even good hospital food was still hospital food.  Pushing out of the chair she handed him another shake.-

“One more and we’ll call it even for now.  I’ll go get the detectives.”

-Three shakes, surely he’d be fine.  Pushing the tray with the food on it into one of the corners she made sure it was close enough if something was needed, but far enough away that the police wouldn’t be tripping over it.  Heading out into the waiting area she looked among the cops to see who might be in charge.  A tall red headed woman seemed to be the one calling the shots so Angie moved towards Llidya.-

“He’s ready to see you now detective.  If you’ll just follow me this way.”

-Angie led Llidya towards Geller’s room.  Following the police inside she moved towards the bed and helped Geller to sit up, putting a pillow behind his back and letting her hands brush his skin whenever she could.  Touching him still felt so good, knowing that somewhere in there Nico might feel her, might be close.-

“I’ll just stay out of the way, but I should really be here to monitor his condition.”

-Moving towards the chair she had set out earlier Angie took a seat and looked as small and unobtrusive as possible.-

After Llidya had gotten the information from Marge, she'd hung up and called the station talking to the desk Sargeant, Carson. He told her he'd get one of the full-time uniforms on it and she'd get the information within a couple of hours. Llidya thanked him and hung up the phone. She glanced back towards the room, then made another phone call, to a restaurant that normally didn't deliver, but Llidya was sure they would for her.

Her phone rang before she had a chance to dial the last number. "Chapman."

"I hear you're looking for an old friend you can't be bothered to call unless you need something."

"Love you too Mouse. How you been?"

"Well I'm not camped out in any hospital waiting rooms or anything." Llidya automatically looked around at his words. How did he do that? Unable to figure out just now how he knew that, and it didn't really matter, there were more pressing things now, she stopped and looked at the floor.

"Yeah okay. Listen. I've got a bit of a situation and I need to see if similar situations have happened anywhere else."

"Call your local PD, you don't need me for that."

"In the world."

"Oh. Well that you would need me for."

"Yeah don't you have some hacker spy friends or something?"

"I do, but I probably won't use them. What kind of situation are we talking about?"

"Lycan focused crimes. Well, let's go preternatural focused crime, where the victim is a preternatural of some kind. Kidnapping maybe, but I don't know if it was supposed to be that. Coulda been a simple abduction and homicide, but maybe this one got away, you know?"

"All right. Give me a few days. I'll send you what I find out."

"Thanks Mouse."

"Yep." The line went dead. Good thing too because that was when the food arrived. She glanced over to Stoley.

"Stoley, I got this if you wanna head back to the station. Just leave a uniform here to give me a ride. That way you guys can dive into the evidence. Call me as soon as the squad is finished with the crime scene. You guys can meet me there, but don't actually go walking around or anything." Llidya tapped the side of her nose, and Stoley nodded, moving with a couple of the uniforms out the door. Llidya had to give them a bone, she didn't want it to seem she and Ash were coming in a taking over the case, which they were, but there were good and bad ways to take off a bandaid. Chapman turned around to see a short blond standing there, and that trademark Chapman smirk settled itself on her lips.

"Sure thing, call me Chapman." She followed her into the room, and dropped the bag of food atop the hospital tray. The nurse informed her she should stay to monitor his condition and Llidya shrugged. "Yeah sure." Llidya pulled up a chair and flipped it around to straddle it as she looked at Gellar. Her Bahamas-clear water hues took in the healing and she was surprised, but didn't say anything. The only other lycan she'd known to heal that quickly was herself, and that was when she let it happen. The only reason she knew that she could heal that quickly was because before she was a werewolf, she was an Egoist, a self-healing preternatural. She likened it to Wolverine in those movies, but only she and Ash knew about that. She could control it, choose to let her body heal at an exponential rate or she could turn it down, and heal painfully slow, which she did most of the time for sheer self-punishment. All of Llidya's healing was inward, and it was the exact opposite of what Lyliyanna could do, who constantly had hers turned outward. All of this flashed through her mind in mere seconds before she leveled her gaze on Gellar's face.

"So I brought you some real food from Donatello's because I know you being a chef and all, hospital food is like dog food." She grinned, pun intended. "I got a couple of different slabs of meat in there for you." She leaned forward a bit in the chair, bringing it up on two legs. The grin disappeared and her face became serious then. "So you wanna tell me what happened? What you can remember, anyway." Llidya wasn't one to ask a million questions. She asked one or two, and let the story unfold itself from the victim or witness. By doing so she always got a more accurate story than other detectives. But it didn't hurt that she could tell when the person was lying either. Perks of being a werewolf.

Dee sat quietly and kept to herself while all the others were comforting each other in the waiting room. Silent was seated next to Dee, and at the same time as if they choreographed the dance, Dee looked up as well, not at anything particular, when she heard the loud scream coming from Geller. This made her wince and shiver in her chair. She couldn't imagine what kind of pain Geller was going through at this moment. Well, in a way she did before she became a wolf when a lycanthrope ripped off her leg and she had to wear a prosthetic as a human until she was attacked again by a werewolf. Even when she became a werewolf and that limb grew back, she would never forget the pain it caused. But surely, she knew Geller was going through more pain than that.

Just when Ash and Milo's phone chimed together, Dee listened when Milo relayed yet another mishappen with Zoe. She was missing as well. Those long, black licorice locks swayed side to side as she shook her head. Jesus Henry Christ, what is this world coming to? Did Geller's family have some kind of rare blood or jewel that people wanted? When Milo and the red-headed rat disappeared for a smoke and Ash left to began the hunt for Zoe, Dee leaned back into her chair, still with her arms crossed against her chest. She sat up again when the doctor came out and gave an update on Geller. A tremendous, relieving sigh blew from her lips the moment she placed her hand over her heart. Thank God he was okay! He was battered and bruised and burned but is healing at an incredible rate that was too perfect for any normal lycanthrope. But Hair Gel was never truly just a normal werewolf, was he? The doctor said he would need a little help when he is released from the hospital, and Dee would do everything in her power to make sure that her Hair Gel receives the best help in the world. She wouldn't care if she had to wait on him hand and foot, or help him bathe, or feed him like a baby for a few days, or act as his mother telling him when and what to eat. She would be there for him without a second thought in her mind.

When Maya sat next to Dee on the other side, Dee took the blonde's hand into her own, softly grazing the smooth plane on the back of her hand. "Sssshh, calm down Maya. Everything is fine. Geller was missing for a month, so earlier today, I searched the swamps and picked up his scent in St. Tammany parish heading south. That's when I text messaged everyone to meet up. Ash, Laney, Sirus, and Llidya met up at the house and everyone else met up at the Hookah. We went to the Hookah to inform Silent, and her and Milo and Ash came here. The doctor just came in and told us that Geller is okay, and he'll be fine. However, now Zoe is missing. So Ash is meeting up with a few other people to go look for her. And that's all I know so far baby girl. After Geller is questioned by Llidya, then we can go in and see him."

And Dee wanted to make sure that her, Silent, and Maya were the first ones to see him. He was her pack mate, her teacher, and most importantly, her best friend.

After reporting to Silent and reassuring everyone how Geller was doing, and of course after getting a kiss from Milo, it was time to deal with her next patient. A finger crooked to Alex, beckoning her from the chair she was sitting in. "Milo is right, time for your exam hon." Firm but at the same time comforting. She beckoned for one of the nurses to bring over a new chart and to come with them to an exam room. The room was reinforced, no windows of course and the door was more then the average hospital room door. "Have a seat." She gestured to the bed once Alex entered.

[In the Exam Room: http://wickedlabyrinth.activeboard.com/t43598317/fixing-the-broken-wolfy-jess-alex/ ]

In the time that Jessica and Alex were gone those shifters in the waiting room felt a slow build of power, a spillover from whatever it was Jessica was doing in the other room. The  throb of power a comfortable warmth that seemed to ease tensions. The sensations lasted for about 15 minutes or so before ebbing away again and just moments after that the exam room door opened and they returned to the waiting room. Alex was moving much better then she had before, all but the most servere of her wounds having healed. Jessica was showing signs of strain, weariness dulling her eyes as she moved towards the others. A faint smile offered to Silent before she moved over to where Milo sat. "You're in my seat." Affectionate words directed at Alex, poking him lightly in the side.

The walk from Paix back to the house that Geller had purchased, a place that she had been avoiding like the plague for weeks, trying to figure out where to go from the point she had come to didn't take very long at all. She knew that eventually she would catch hell from James for staying away for so long, even from him and the others, but she could not explain the reasons that caused her to seek other shelter. As she walked up the steps, she noticed the lights blazing inside through the windows, and the vehicles parked outside that she did not recognize.

She hesitated on the top step for a moment, seeing that the front door had not even been properly closed and a rueful look crossed her features before all was coerced back behind that mask of serenity that she wore like a pro. Of course, that mask only stayed in place for as long as it took for her phone to ring. "Hello?" She answered irritably when she didn't recognize the number.

She heard a gruff person go through a list of names, one being hers and couldn't keep the exasperation out of her voice as she answered affirmatively that she was one of those people. When the monotoned man continued speaking as if he had all the time in the world before getting to the point of Geller being in the hospital, the petite vampire's mouth fell open in shock. Dark lashes fluttered up and down so quickly that she barely let the man get out the address of the hospital before hanging up on him in the middle of a sentence.

As she walked into the house, squaring her shoulders ready to tell the others what she knew, silver eyes fell on Ash, who was already explaining things to the others and telling people what to do and where to go with an authority that had a slender raven brow lift towards the ceiling. When he said he was going to the hospital, she stepped in his way, not to block him, but to make it known in no uncertain terms, that wether he liked it or not, she was going with him. He looked to a flame-haired beauty before giving a nod, and Nike turned on her heel, taking whatever position she needed to for the ride to the hospital.

When they pulled up outside, and the man identified himself and his partner as executioners and cops, the barest hint of a smile tugged at her lips, and still without saying a word to either of them gave a nod of her head. She would do as they asked and let them go in first. They could get down to business and what they needed to get done. She didn't have to go in right on their heels. However, waiting in the parking lot as the two marched in tried her patience in more ways then she ever would admit to anyone.

Finally, when she could take it no more, Nike made her way inside the hospital, getting directions to the waiting room where several people had gathered. If they were there for Geller, the diminutive vampire couldn't be sure. She made her way quietly to a corner where she could seat herself for the long wait that would be ahead, only hoping that for once time would not be against her and she could see him before the sun started to rise. She barely noticed Dee Dee, and gave the wolf a nod, her features settled into a stony mask.

Geller's peircing yell was the only thing that broke that mask. The holler that came through the walls with his agony set Nike on the edge of her seat, her eyes widening so much that it seemed nearly impossible. Her nails dug into the arms of the chair she was sitting in, leaving jagged marks in the wood. Then it seemed again as if time blurred, nothing penetrated through the fog of worry that extened around her, until she heard that Zoe was missing.

Turning her head, she saw that it was Ash, the man from the car, whom she still hadn't truly been introduced to giving orders about how to handle things. That Geller's cousin was missing now seemed to make everything worse, and though she wanted to go search for the girl, she couldn't abandon Geller either. She listened while they made a plan to go look for the french girl. When Ash grabbed the Llidya's keys and headed out to the parking lot, Nike jumped to her feet, a thought pestering her.

She literally flew through the waiting room and back outside just in time to catch the man before he jumped into the truck. With a tiny hand grabbing the door before he could slam it closed, those silver pools looked up at him. "If Zoe is missing, I would start by visiting the Twins." Tilting her head to the side, she frowned, "Be careful, the are very old and very powerful vampires. And for some reason, she has taken a shine to them or they to her. It may be that she is with them, or it may be something else entirely, but it is a good bet they could know where she is." She gave the man the address, wondering if they would be upset with her for it, and then nodded again, turning to go back inside and wait until she could see with her own eyes the Geller was ok.

Upon entering the waiting room again, she noticed that Maya had arrived, and where before, where the petite vampire had secluded herself from the others, this time, she moved to the little blonde and put and icy hand on hers. She looked to Dee Dee and gave her a smile and then kneeled beside the bubbly blonde wolf, remembering a time when the child had spoken softly into her coffin not to be angry and that she was loved. Now she wanted to return the sentiment, for the rambunctious wolf had become part of the family, Geller's family, that she treasured so much. Holding the little blonde's hand, all she could do now was watch the clock tick the hours by, and hope that she was not forced to flee before seeing her Shaggy Knight because of the sun.

It was while the petite vampire was waiting, holding Maya's hand and hoping that everything was all right that she drew in a deep breath, intending to release it on a sigh when she noticed a scent. Blinking, her head turned, and after giving the young wolf's hand a small squeeze, she let it go and got up, following her nose to the owner of the scent, another of the many waiting in the waiting room for news of Geller. Silver eyes settled on Alex(the rat) and she tilted her head to the side, closer the scent this time, so she inhaled deeply. It was one of the scents she had smelled on Jenna earlier that night, and even now she could smell a hint of the tigress coming from him. That thought brought a frown to Nike's lips.

Her brow furrowing, she closed her eyes, letting just a small part of the power that was completely her, the ability to call all animals great and small, leak out and brush over those gathered in the waiting room, searching for the one that she needed, and was hopefully sure to be there. She found it in the most unlikely of places, and while normally that would have brought a smile to her lips, this was not a night for laughter. Opening her eyes, she walked with a graceful step over to Milo and then bent into such a low curtsey before the man that her nose nearly touched the ground, looking like she had bent herself almost in two. Afer waiting a moment, she tilted her head up so she could look up at the man's face. When she spoke her voice was low, yet filled with a sincerity that rarely came to those of her kind, "Mighty king, I have a need to speak with you and one of yours. It may be nothing, but it may also be very important." With that, she stood up to her full height, though even still the man towered over her, bowed her head respectfully and pointed to Alex, showing him who she meant.

-And the wierdness train just kept on rolling into the fucking station.  He was just about to move Alex a bit so that Jessie could get in his lap as well and each could have their very own Milo knee, when Nike came straight towards them.  Now Milo didn't really know Nike.  He knew of her through other people but had no direct contact with her until just at the moment when she was bowing before him.  You couldn't say that Milo was controlled by flattery but, fucking hell, it sure didn't hurt things.-

"Mighty King huh?" -Milo wasn't suspicious of Nike.  Mostly because there hadn't been a vampire able to roll him in a very long time, but also because from what he heard about her she didn't sound stupid enough to do some kind of vampire crazy shit in a hospital full of cops.  Then there was the fact that she was Geller's friend and that Milo was definitely not racist against the vamps.  That combined for him being a very rare person who would actually listen to what Nike had to say and not just automatically shut her down for being what she was.- "Alright, that's easy enough to arrange."

-When she pointed to Alex he stood and hiked the boy rat over his shoulder again like he had when they'd gone out to smoke, his beast keeping the other rat calm through a very heavy dose of lycan power that would act on the system like the best of drugs.- "Jess why don't you show us to a good private spot to chat."

-Letting Jessie lead the way he walked at Nike's side, shortening his strides to match hers.-"Your power so much as tries to brush at me and I'll consider it an attack.  Anything you want to know you ask first, any powerplays should be negotiated and not assumed." -He was just letting her know the rules of engagement as any smart man would.  He wanted to know what was so interesting that had to do with Alex, but he didn't want any rat being swarmed by a vamp without due cause.-

-Jessie led them into a private room and Milo sat Alex down on the bed, standing beside him he left the boys hand in his.- "Okay, so what's this all about?"

She watched Milo's face as he thought about her request, and for a moment, when he acquiesced she almost smiled. It wasn't always easy speaking to lycans, especially when you were a centuries old vampire, but perhaps for once in her life, she was starting to get lucky. The petite vampire waited as the Rat King spoke to the woman on his lap and had her find a quiet spot where they could all discuss things nice and private like.

As they walked down the hallway, Nike followed at a pace that belied her tiny stature, though she still noticed that Milo had to shorten his stride quite a bit to make it seem as if she weren't flying over the ground at a more than human speed. She listened silently to his words about her power staying put, that even so much of a brush and he would consider it an attack. While the beasts that resided within her wanted to snarl, being so close to so many she could call was like holding out a lollipop in front of a two year old and telling them they couldn't have a lick, but she gave a nod of her head responding softly, "I will do naught but talk. I seek answers here, not power."

When they were finally cloistered away from spying eyes and ears, and the question put to her regarding what this was all about, her eyes fell first on Alex, and then on Milo, the frown again tugging at her lips. "It is about Geller, and those that might be a danger to him." She knew that there might be a moment of surprise, even words spoken about how no one in the room could be a danger to the wolf, but she held up a hand and slowly continued. "I have been Geller's friend for several years now, so please, bare with me. When in New York, he met a female, one that has caused us to go on the run." While Jenna had not been the reason they had gone on the run, if Geller had never met the tigress, things would probably never have turned out as they had, so the vampire felt justified in saying so. "It is the reason we are here, in New Orleans. The woman was an assassin. She was offered a contract to kill Geller. She refused. Apparently it upset her boss enough to put a price on both their heads, and likely that of his loved ones as well."

She took a breath, looking from face to face, then settling on Milo's, "I tell you this so you can understand my reservations. I do not know this woman from any. I do not know where her loyalties lie. However, her and Geller grew quite close over the trip, to the point of, how do you say it in this day? They were starting a relationship?" She fell silent for a minute, a frown on her lips, before continuing. "To give them space, I have been away, out of the picture, yet, I come back to find that Geller is missing. His girlfriend claims they argued several weeks ago and he left. She didn't think to go looking for him, and I'm sure like me, most of those who consider themselves his family believed him with her."

Pausing again, her eyes settled on Alex a moment before moving back to the rat king's "The reason this has anything to do with you and yours, is that when I spoke with this woman, Jenna, earlier I smelled others on her. It made me pause. Finding out that her boyfriend has disappeared, been gone for at least a month, maybe more, yet she would be off with others. One of those scents is in this room right now." Again those silver pools slid over to Alex. "She told me it was her boss that kidnapped Geller. But, her boss wanted Geller dead, or at least that is what we were told to leave New York. Now I have to wonder if something different is going on here. And I also wonder if your rat here has become unwittingly or knowingly involved."

"Christ." -Milo looked at Alex with those lime green eyes and searched the boys face for a reaction.- "Alex.  How do you know this Jenna chick? You tell a lie and we'll all smell it.  Just spill it, the whole truth and nothing but the fucking truth."

-He didn't think that Alex was mixed up in some crazy conspiracy.  Still, the only way to convince Nike of that was just to let her hear the truth in the little rats voice as he explained what was really going on between himself and the tigress.  Then they could lay the matter to bed.  As he waited for Alex to answer he didn't remove his hand from the boys, letting it be shown that his loyalty lay with his rat, and showing that he did not believe Alex to be involved in these mysterious disappearances.-

+It felt strange to be sitting up in the bed with the heart monitor beep-beeping away.  There were layers to his unsettling situation that hadn't all been sorted out in his head yet.  He was starting to put together a timeline in his head, it was what had kept his distracted during Jessica's work on him.  As far as he could tell that timeline went something like this: Geller met Alex and Steven at the street festival for some beers and Foxy Boxing, he'd gone to Jenna's because she wanted to talk to him about a present arriving from Kaikou, she said she didn't want to go to Japan, he told her she owed it to herself to go, she yelled at him and walked out, he left, and then..........he woke up on the floor of a warehouse.  It wasn't the best timeline but it was the best he could get.  There was simply nothing else.+

+His attention was drawn again to the blonde nurse who was bringing him one of the promised protein shakes.  She was pretty and honestly it was never a bad thing to have a pretty girl seeing to your needs.  So even though he was pretty sure he could hold a glass on his own, last he'd checked he hadn't had his arms ripped off, he let her hold the straw to his mouth.   The feel of her warm hand against his was comforting and he couldn't quite figure out why he felt so completely comfortable around this stranger.  There was just something about her.+

"What's..."

+The question wasn't finished but he got a good feeling for how raw and worked over his throat was.  With a sigh he submitted to more of the milky tasting protein drinks as she spoke to him.  By the time the cops were on their way in he was feeling like he might actually be able to speak without hacking up his own smoke sodden lungs.  A good sign.  Not that he'd be running a marathon anytime soon, but he was happy for small miracles.  When Llidya introduced herself he shifted in the bed, pulling himself up with only the slightest wince that made wrinkles stand out at the corners of his eyes. Once he was sitting up he had just enough forethought to make sure the sheet was pulled up over his lap.  Flashing the police his assets hardly seemed like a good way to start this process.+

"So you're Llidya, right? Llidya Chapman?"

+God, was that his voice? He sounded like Steven Tyler.  His voice was low and as rumbly as a cement mixer.  He could smell the beast inside Llidya, could feel it in the room.  Strong for a wolf still relatively young, but nothing that made his own beast wish to submit.  But his curiosity had nothing to do with lycan power bullshit.  He was just curious to finally see this woman who had Ash so twisted up.  Twisted up enough to play human for a few years.+

"I've heard a lot about you."

+Black eyes swirled with silver as they flicked towards the other cops in the room.  Yeah, not the time to talk about his friend and their love life.  Who knows, maybe some time in the future he'd have a chance to pick Llidya's brain on the subject of Ash.  Contemplating the bag of food that Llidya had dropped in front of him Geller breathed in the scent and felt an instantaneous grinding sensation in his stomach.  Carefully he listed his hands and tried not to dislodge the IV needle stuck to the back of his hand as he opened the bag and retreived a steak sandwich that looked much better than the gray hospital meat.  Pulling the paper back he smelled it, then set it down.  He could eat after they talked.  Whatever Llidya had to do was probably infinitely more important than his stomach.  Her question had his wide lips curling in the ghost of his own trademark tooth baring smile.+

"I'm afraid I'm gonna disappoint you Chapman.  I don't remember much."

+Raising a hand he pushed his fingers back through his long black hair and found that it had been cut.  That shocked him for a moment.  Fingers felt at the length of it, investigating without a mirror to try to figure out exactly how short it was.  He was guessing it was still too long for the military so that was good enough for him.  Letting the hand fall back to his lap he sighed, the broad surface of his healing chest rising and falling heavily and he felt pain through every moment of it as the new skin stretched and adjusted to the movements.+

"I met up with some coworkers for a drink during the festival in Jackson Square the other night and then got a call from my girlfriend saying that she needed to talk to me about something.  So I left the Square and went to see her...."

+Llidya was giving him a strange look and he stopped talking.+ "What?"

"The festival? You mean, the one sponsored by Jazz Fest?" +One of the cops asked the question and Geller looked towards the man and nodded.  He still wasn't completely clear on why that was so strange. Then Llidya cut in with...+ "Go ahead."

+Geller was sure they knew something he didn't (like the fact that the festival had been seven weeks ago and not the night before), but since he wasn't a mind reader he just kept going.+ "So I went by my girlfriends house and we sat out by the pool and talked about some things...." +Again he paused a bit.  Geller had been arrested a time or three in his human years and he knew why talking to the cops could be a very bad thing.  Sometimes giving them too much information about peoples private lives could lead to lots of extraneous guessing.  Geller didn't think Jenna's lover Kaikou had anything to do with this and he didn't think that telling the police everything about that talk would really help anything.  So he compromised.+

"She has an old boyfriend, someone she loves who wanted her to come and visit him.  She said that she didn't want to go, but I told her she should." +Again he shrugged his wide shoulders and chuckled softly.+ "I know it sounds strange, but I just figured that until someone confronts their past there's not much chance for a future.....not...that....you needed to know all that. Anyway, she was mad at me for telling her to go.  I don't think she really knew why I was doing it, but she walked away and after a little while I left....then.....I woke up...in some kind of building.  I just sort of got up from the floor and I was pretty beat up but I made it out to the parking lot and was trying to leave when the building blew."

+He made an explosion motion with his hands and a pow noise.+ "And that's about all she wrote."

+Geller was leaving out anything about tigers, kitsune, and the reason they'd come to New Orleans, but he wasn't lying so there wouldn't be a trace of anything to pick up.  Even if he'd been telling one hell of a whopper it would take someone more powerful than those in this room to pick up on it.  Sure, he figured that some of the details he was leaving out might be helpful, but he cared more about protecting the people involved than figuring out who the shopping center bomber was.  When Llidya asked questions about the room he'd woken up in he described it in complete detail, every sight, sound, and smell that came to mind.  Sadly those details were so generic that it hardly seemed possible it would help with anything.+

"So.....what day is this anyway?"

+It was his first chance at a question.  He was wondering if it had been one day...two days...maybe three.  Realizing he had some missing pieces of his memory he could conceive of a few days being lost while he was knocked out or in the hospital.  But when the officer told him it was a Sunday towards the end of June he jerked upright in the bed, spine straight, his breath catching in his throat.  His eyes had narrowed and he was trying to make sense of the new order of the world that had just been dropped into his lap.+

"I can't....I had no idea." +Words failed for a moment and along with them he lost that toothy smile.  His thick eyebrows were drawn together and he was trying to imagine how this could have happened.  Clearly he wasn't the only one.+ "Believe me Chapman.  If I knew anything else that would help you then I would tell you.  But I don't."

She must have been more tired then she thought, not even realizing the vampire had come up nearly behind her as she waited for Alex to move so she could rest against Milo. She wanted the comfort of his strength a moment, regardless of how it looked being here at the hospital. Working with Alex, healing Alex, well, it left her craving touch and where better to fill that craving then being curled against Milo, if only for a moment.

Instead she steadied herself, layers of shields tightening around her as she donned her professional mask again, setting aside her own needs to aide those around her. Milo's question was given a nod. "Of course, there's a free exam room, this way." She brushed a light hand over Milo's arm before making her way down the corridor to a other room. She allowed the others to enter before following, closing the door behind her.

Alex was stable under Milo's influence but she knew that the young rat had his anxieties and depending on the amount of drugs in his system... well, who knew what would happen. She moved to the far side of the bed, resting a hand on his other arm, fingers brushing in a light comforting touch. She wasn't a rat but since Alex was Milo's well, that just made him hers too.

Her brow furrowed at Nike's words, glancing down at Alex. He couldn't possibly be involved in something like this. It had to be a 'wrong time, wrong place' sort of situation.

"I... wait-- what??" Alex squeaked (and he would deny it to his last fucking breath if anyone brought it up later) when Milo picked him up again. He shot a helpless look to Theo. What the fuck? What the fuck was this and who the fuck was that dead chick and why the fuck did she want to talk to him?

Theo stood and followed, but stayed outside of the exam room. What? That was his brother that just got carted off and even if Milo was in there with him, he wanted to be close by. Wanted Alex to know he was. What the fuck was all of this about?

That's what Alex wanted to know. No doubt Milo and even Jess would be very, very aware of the anxiety trying to rear its ugly head. And it was trying hard. There was a good chance that without the two heavy hitters there (and Theo out in the hallway) he'd dissolve into his fur or lose his temper, depending on which way the wind blew.

As it was, Alex just kind of stared at the woman asking about Jenna and his mouth fell open. "What?" She was kidding, right? She thought he had something to do with all of this? Shit. Shit fuck goddamnit mother fucker.

"No," he said emphatically. "No, I mean-- shit. Are you kidding?" But one incredulous look met with an unchanging air of determination would wipe that idea out of his head. Okay, so this wasn't a joke. "Me and Jenna... we're friends. I mean, okay we messed around some but it wasn't like-- I mean, I didn't even know... Wait, she was with Geller? Really?"

He hadn't even known. Like it or not it felt like he was trying to break Milo's hand, and maybe Jessica's, as this vamp brought up the possibility that he was in any way involved with Geller's disappearance.

"Shit, why would I-- no. Fucking no. Geller's awesome, he was letting us use his place as a venue and he hired me to do some stuff." The wolf had paid him to paint a fucking mural (and it was awesome, by the way) and let them use Betwixt and Between to play their shows for the low, low price of setting up the sound system.  Alex was in love with that place, but nevermind that. His point was, he'd never knowingly or unknowingly hurt someone that had helped him out.

"Wait, whoa. You don't think Jenna had something to do with this do you? 'Cause lemme fucking tell you, lady, she didn't."

He might have been a little guy and a little rat on top of that, but he'd throw down in a second for a friend. The switch kind of flipped from scared-as-fuck to what-the-fuck-are-you-implying. Jenna wouldn't do something like that, right? Nevermind the rate at which his head was spinning from finding out some of this stuff - Jenna was a ninja assassin?? Really?

Alex reminded himself to, you know, breathe in there somewhere and his shoulders slowly started to come down from his ears. The sad part was, this was him calm. Well, okay, so this was him in an aggitated kind of calm, but the point was without Milo there it would have been worse, especially now that he was kind of sobering up. He took a breath and let it out slowly. There. That was better. He even talked slower when he started again.

"I didn't know... any of that. I just met Jenna in a club and she came to some of our shows and we messed around. She's my friend." But he was sure - absolutely positive, mostly - that none of that had anything to do with with happened to Geller. And if it did... he hadn't known. Shit, how could he have? He barely left his basement anymore except to play shows and maybe do some work. Maybe. He was working on that though, the getting better thing.

Silent would be a liar if she said that Ashes presence wasnt adding to both her stress and her calming levels...So when he came in and changed her line up all around she had been about to open her mouth and say something...But the truth was if she was gonna put not just packmembers...But her friends. In danger Ash was the best canidate. Not only would he bring Zoe home safely... But she knew he wouldnt let harm come to her wolves. "I think thats a better line up...Besides I dont see Karma being able to handle Maya..Not from the way Nyx is talking. Just let Otis know...Best behavior...That was the least of her worried at the moment as Gellers screams filled the air. Her arm would tighten around Alex.  As much as she loved it...New Orleans had truely become her personal hell.  Pausing a moment she would glance up as Ash left and said " I love you. Be safe." It was said so low that even a lycans ear could miss it...And part of her hoped he did. Letting Alex snuggle against her when she got back Silent curled herself around the other woman.  Until Llidya and the police were finished with Geller she couldn't comfort him so she wrapped her arms around this member of her pack and offered that comfort to Alex.  Her eyes followed the comings and goings as people moved around and eventually she thumped Alex's arm and motioned for her to come along.  Silent and Alex moved their cuddle fest closer to Dee and Maya, some pack was good, more pack was better, and at least they all looked like shit so maybe it would be less noticeable.

-Dee Dee was trying to hold Maya's hand which she enjoyed, but it was probably hard to do since Maya was squirming around in her seat trying to see what was going on.  Her frustrated blue eyes snapped back and forth between the door to Gellers room and the clock on the wall.  It was ticking so slowly that she was almost certain the damn thing was broken.  It had to be broken because it felt like they had been there in the waiting room for an eternity already.-

"Fucking cops."

-Maya mumbled it under her breath and adjusted in her seat, tuckign her legs underneath her so she could lean against Dee's side.  Watching as some of the rats went off with Jessie she was ready to go crazy when Silent and Alex came to join them.  Scooting over to make room she was happy for more company but that didn't take away their irritation.  Maya had never tried to direct her lycan energy at anything before, but she did it then.  Feeling LLidya in that room she gave her a mental kick by picturing in her head connecting her foot to Llidya's rump.  Probably just felt more like a nudge but hopefully it let the woman know that people were waiting out here!-

The look on the young rat's face might have been priceless if the diminutive kindred had indeed been kidding, but she was not. A single ebon brow raised when the question itself was presented, however there was no other change in her visage. Silver eyes watched from inside a face with skin that very closely resembled alabaster, calculating every movement, every nuance of inflection in his tone. She could read a lie even from the most cunning artists. When he said him and Jenna were friends, her lips parted slightly. It wasn't a lie, but it wasn't the whole truth and she knew it. Then he amended his words, and Nike tilted her head to the side, giving a small nod.

He was honest about not knowing of the relationship between Geller and Jenna, which at the moment she was sure if she was surprised or not. Jenna was a mystery to her. Mysteries were not always bad, and in the time she had spent on this earth she found most things had lost that quality, however at this point in time, she could have done without the question marks.

The vehemence with which Alex stated that he was not involved with Geller's disappearance rang true, and she could not stop the feeling of relief that sang through her. It showed visibly in the set of her shoulders, the angle at which she held herself changed and the small glimmer of warmth that came into her eyes. She bowed her head, intending on thanking the young rat for his words, and putting to rest the possibility in her mind that he could have been a part of a sinister plot when the young man forged on ahead with his words of defense of the tigress.

Her arms came up, crossed over her chest, and she tilted her head to the side as he made his impassioned little tirade of how Jenna wasn't a part of what happened. " I do not know if she was involved. It is obvious that you know her better than I. But believe me when I say that I know the life she's come from. I have lived longer than I care to say, so yes, I believe that the possibility is there that she was involved, and on the wrong side of that involvement." Nike wanted to believe that the woman was not involved at all, for if she was, then they had been played from the beginning. The tiny vampire did not take kindly to getting played, ever.

"However, I do not know the truth, which is what I am trying to find out. If you do not think she was a part of that, I sincerely hope that you are right. But forgive me if I cannot take your word for it." She would find out, one way or another. First, she wanted to know, beyond a shadow of a doubt that Geller was going to be alright. Then she would use every resource she had available to her, magical, metaphysical, and digital to find out what had happened.

She stood there, eyeing Alex for a moment more, then allowed her lips to take on the hint of a smile. "I appreciate the honesty you've shown me." Giving him a nod of her head she turned those silver orbs on First Jessica and then Milo, giving each a respectful bow of her head before addressing the heavily tattooed man, "I am respectfully thankful for your time and cooperation, illustrious King. Happy that my notion towards one of yours was simply born from too many years dealing with a different type of society."

With that, she gave another deep bow to them all before taking her leave. If they had other questions of her, she would stop to answer them, but otherwise, she was heading back to the waiting room for her time to see that Geller was alright.

To say she wasnt agravated at the sweep of people that moved in and out of Gellers room would be a lie. Silent tried to busy her beast by curling herself closer to the three females..The swamp wolf within excited at the closeness of them after the years of havin none. Silent would let her fingers curl one of Mayas soft blond tresses. Nyx thought the world of her so there had to be somethin pretty great and at this moment Silent was thinkin the same thing. " I swear one more person goes in there and they dont let me...Im gonna fuck this place up Jess." Silent was Ulfric...There was a injured pack member and this was fuckin bullshit. See Ash had been better with the dealing with all the red tape. Not her she was lil miss anarcy. Like she fought the law and she won. Leaning closer she would kiss Alexs head motherly like before standing and moving towards Llydia. Sure Silent hated the woman....Not even the fact that she was a wolf would change that. She hated her before the transiton even more so now. But that wasnt here or now. They would fight one day...Just not today. " How much longer do you plan on standing between me and my Freki? I believe the pack has waited long enough. And he needs rest to heal. Tell your pigs to come back another time" This was said low. She was done waiting walking pass the amazon Silent moved towards Gellers room knockin on the door frame. Those Tri colored Hues moving over him

+Geller glared at Silent when she came in the room and started talking to Llidya.  A low warning growl rumbled from him for a second and was instantly cut off.  His black and silver whorled eyes shot daggers at Silent and then he was able to calm those very expressive features long enough to give the cops a glance and look at Llidya, his eyes telling her clearly that she needed to get them out of here, humans and pack business shouldn't mix.  To cover what was going on he made a low moaning sound that actually managed to be pretty pathetic.+

"Look Llidya, I've answered all your questions and I think I really should get some rest.  I won't be leaving the city so you can find me any old time you want.  I promise." +He even held two fingers up, though some of the meaning might have been void since he'd never been a boy scout.+ "Scous honor."

+Geller was slowly pushing himself upright in the bed and feeling the objecting skin stretch over taut muscle and bone but he steeled his features and refused to show pain.  Once the police and Llidya had left the room to go to the crime scene he turned to look at Silent and Jessica who were in the doorway by now.  Throwing back the sheets he was completely naked, his pale flesh still healing in patches from the burns and debraiding that Jessie had done, but Geller ignored it.  The only thought he had was 'damn, first time in my life I don't have hair on my chest'.+

"Hey Doc, why don't you and Silent come in here and shut the door please." +Polite, see.  He could be polite.  In pain and frustrated over the sudden revelation that he'd missed months of his life he could still talk pleasently to the police and manage politeness.  Legs were hoisted over the side of the bed and when Angie tried to come forward towards him he held a hand out in her direction to stop her.+ "No."

+One word, but he managed to make it sound strong even if his voice was a bit ragged.  Bare feet of soft pink new skin touched the cold tile floor and he slowly lifted himself to his feet and stood, and if it was a bit wobbly at first it was no less impressive under the circumstances.  Turning towards the door he slowly released the bed so that he was standing on his own power, naked yes, but not embarassed or shy.  Geller passed as a human in society, had worked hard to learn the control and level of strength to do so and now on top of everything else that balance he sought had been tumbled away.  His eyes settled on Silent when he spoke.+

"You have neither asked me to be your Freki nor have I ever accepted such a position.  And while I appreciate you caring enough to come don't you ever dare to burst in on me and assume to spill my secrets to the police.  I am neither one of your weak pups or some mid ranking pank member who will sit idly by while you shred my dignity and privacy in one fell swoop of your temper.  I told you that I would help you, not because I needed you or because I recognized you as my dominant, but because the wolves with me needed a pack.  I gave you that help and those wolves and you have repaid that poorly."

+Geller took a step, moving slowly because his stand here and now would be pretty well defeated if he crumpled to the floor.  But hopefully he looked proud and tall standing with his skin still moving in that healing knit pattern around him, the dusting of black hair growing back in on his body, his eyes fierce after everything.+

"Calling yourself an Ulfric does not give you the right to let your impatience get the better of you at the expense of others Silent.  I like you, I even respect you, but I cannot lay in that bed and be treated like an invalid who lacks respect.  If what you've done was meant to bring me down as it has then let it be a challenge between us.  Not here, not now.  But I will not let some slip of circumstances ruin all that I have worked to acheive in my life."

+Geller valued his privacy.  He had never been like most wolves.  Never played the dominance games, always with the strongest of shields to pass as human so that he could remain happy in his kitchen without news stories of possible infections ruining his business.  And now the police had Silent calling him her Freki of all things in front of them.  He had joined the pack and though he hated the politics with every fiber of his being he now had to play by the rules of a pack.  If he didn't then his position would be assumed based on Silents willful actions.  Hurt or not, scared or not, confused as all hell or not, he was not about to let this disaster steal one more thing from him.+

Alex frowned - he really didn't like the idea that the vampire didn't believe him when he defended Jenna. He just couldn't imagine her doing that. She wouldn't, right? Then again he'd never known she was a ninja or whatever either. But, no. No that wasn't right and he wasn't going to believe any suggestion that the tigress was involved in this. Not in a bad way.

He exhaled heavily and actually flopped backwards across the exam table once his interrogater left. "Jesus. Fuck a duck," he mumbled, his heart kind of pounding for a second but even that was settling down thanks to Milo's presence. He felt kinda dizzy, to be honest.

Then he snorted.

"Illustrious King.... she ever met you before?" Apparently he was feeling okay enough to be a brat about it.

When the vampire left, Theo poked his head in. "Hey... everything okay?"

Alex just gave him a thumb up. "Uh huh. I'm not dead."

"Okay, cool.. uhm.. I'm gonna go find coffee or something." Theo glanced at Milo and gave a polite nod, then ducked out again. He needed something to do with himself or he was going to shoot someone. He wasn't nervous or even all that aggitated or anything. There were just a lot of people around and most of them were kinda pushy.

Jessica held her silence as Alex spoke, a silent observer except for the light touch she brushed along the young man's arm. Her professional mask was in place, here as Alex's doctor, monitoring him simply for the level of anxiety. Her shields were wrapped tightly in place as she listened, shaking her head slightly as he admitted his relationship with Jenna. He'd said that women simply fell into his bed sometimes, it was something about the whole cute and helpless demeanor he possessed most of the time, she could see how some women would just love to take care of him but still... he should have known better. All thoughts she kept to herself though.

She waited until Nike made her exit before giving Alex's arm a light squeeze. "I'm sure everything will work out alright." Reassuring him before her gaze lifted to Milo's, only then allowing the concern to show in her eyes. "Have I mentioned how much I hate New Orleans?" A wry smile touched her lips as she looked at him, moving to steal a quick kiss from the Rat King, something quite a bit more then the little brush of lips he'd given her in the waiting room. Nope, they were more or less in private here and she was stealing some serious sugar before going back to being Dr. McFarland again.

The kiss ended too quickly though and it was time to check on her patient. "I need to check on Geller. Make sure that he's continuing to recover." She looked at Alex then, taking a deep breath. "I'm going to tell him, about you and Jenna. Depending on what he remembers he may go searching for her and... well, he should know. Just... be prepared for when you see him next." Her hand lifted to lightly brush over Alex's cheek and then she was exiting the room, making her way back to Geller's room to check on her other patient.

Timing being everything, she returned just as Silent stalked her way into Geller's room. This was going to be interesting. Lips parted to speak when Geller took the floor, firmly insisting that the police leave. It was difficult not to smile when they made their exit since the man on the bed gave them little choice. She moved into the room, out of the doorway to let them pass, closing the door behind them, and then simply watched.

Any other patient she would have scolded when he rose from the bed, a shake of her head given to Angie when the nurses eyes sought hers when Geller denied her offer of help. She was watching carefully, ready to move should he waver in the least and listening intently to the strength of his words. Silent would react to his words and Jess would never interfere with Pack business..... but this was her hospital, her territory so to speak and it was her word that was Law here. She moved around Silent towards where he stood, gesturing to the bed.

"Now that you've made your point.... please get back into bed." Her words were not a challenge, not in any way, instead they were laced with respect but at the same time, they held a firm note. Doctors had to deal with egos all the time after all. "You're healing extremely well but you are still recovering and there's other things that need to be discussed here."

She looked over at Silent, "I know you needed to see him, to see he was fine and you have. I am asking that Pack business be dealt with outside of the hospital." Again, her words were respectful, no challenge offered. "This is a tense situation with a lot of ramifications to it."

Her eyes shifted back to Geller, making sure that he at least sat on the bed. "All patients here are reported to the police but we do everything possible to keep the identity of all patients confidential. No press is allowed in this area without my express permission. Which is never when we have patients. Even the waiting room is considered off limits to any but true friends and family." Her words had softened, reassuring him.

"There are other things we need to discuss though." She glanced at Silent, "Please give us a minute Silent, you will have free access to him when he allows it." She brushed a hand over the other woman's arm "It won't be much longer." She watched as Silent reluctantly exited the room before turning back to him.

"You should know who is here.. Most of the Pack it seems. And Milo, Otis, Theo and Alex. Your friend Nike as well." She paused, letting him digest the names. "Jenna... is not. And you should know she has been... " OK so she felt like an ass telling him this but some things should be treated like band-aids and simply ripped free in a single fell swoop. "She has been spending a lot of time with Alex. He didn't realize that you and she were together or else he would have never..." she let the words trail off, the implication clear. "I know this is not the time to tell you something like this but I don't want you running around town searching for her when you need to be resting." She let him digest her words, hating to have to tell him but knowing that it was for the best.

"Yeah well, glad we could clear things up. Good luck finding what you're looking for.  You need help, the rats will gladly do what they can for Geller."

-One of Milo's meathook hands popped Alex upside the head at the smart ass comment, but it was done in that typical rough love style that Milo had.  As Nike left and Theo popped his head in Milo gave the guy a nod so he knew that everything was fine.  Jessie left shortly after Nike and Milo knew they'd find each other again soon enough.  Nothing could get between them for long.  It was a primal thing.-

"Hey Theo, grab a card from the gift shop and a pen...maybe a balloon or some shit.  If you need money just get it from Otis.  I think Geller will be better off seeing us on the flip side.  For a guy trying to heal it seems like he's gonna have quite enough to deal with."

-At least they could all sign the card and who knows, the right balloon and Milo could twist it into the shape of a penis.  Good times.  As Theo left he turned to Alex and nudged the boy back on the bed so that Milo could sit on the edge and thenswing his legs up into the bed.  Laying down he tugged Alex down into his arms, letting the boys back curl up against his front as they both laid on their sides.  Milo was tall enough that his chin rested on top of Alex's head and his feet were still hanging off the end.-

"Sleeping with your guys girl ain't cool.  But you didn't know.  Ain't none of this got anything to do with you so don't go taking it to heart.  Sometimes when we love people we just grab at anything to make sense of things when bad stuff happens.  Any explanation can be better than wondering why."

-There was just a touch of sadness in the Rat Kings gnarled voice as he spoke from experience.  He remembered his wife and child...the first wife...the only child, and their deaths from before he'd been turned.  Actually he had met Jessica the first time on the anniversary of those deaths.  Damn, that had been a long time ago.  Curled around Alex he sought to comfort the young rat and maybe to comfort himself a bit too; wishing that same peace for the others who suffered and lost this night.-

+He gave a respectful nod to Silent before she went.  They could finish discussing wolf matters at a later time.  Jessica was right, he had said his peace and for now there didn't need to be any more dramatics.  Lord knows the night had been full of them.  Before Silent could leave the room he did add 'Thank you Silent.  For coming.' so that she would know he had meant the part about appreciating their presence there.  Then he let Angie finally come and held him a little as he climbed back on the bed.  She stayed in the background so well that you almost didn't see her until she was just there in the middle of things and then she would simply seem to blend again.  Must be a good quality in a nurse.+

"Alright Jess what is it? The suspense is killing me and you have a look on your face like you just killed my dog."

+And he didn't even have a dog.  As Jessie told him who was there and who was not there his wide lips formed a small frown, brows drawn together slightly in the center.  Still, he was a benefit of the doubt kind of guy so he tried to imagine from Jenna's perspective how things looked.  He had told her to go to Japan and then disappeared for lord only knew how long (he still wasn't precisely clear on that matter).  There were reasons why she might not be there.  Then Jessie continued and her words had another deep look of confusion on his face.  He could only think of one Alex off the top of his head and since Jessie didn't specify a species his tired and suprise exhausted mind just wasn't putting the pieces together maybe because the truth just seemed so absurd to him.+

"Alex and Jenna? What do you mean like...they've been hanging out and....going shopping?" +The implication was not clear.  He thought she meant Alex the wolf and there were too many peoples names up in the air to pay attention to pronouns.+ "Tea, movies, what?"
