Soon after what happen the night before, the French vampire himself sat in a chair staring at a wall as his were serpents sat around his form. A thought crossed his mind as he was thinking about Zack's condition. Oh, the poor fellow was going through difficult times he knows that from what it means for someone infected with the virus. Joseph understood the tribulations with a human has just been bitten by a lycan, it meant this was going to be tough for a new recruit to their world. Being a vampire did not mean he did not have knowledge of the species other than his race and the Council itself, he was much older but hid his true age well. Standing upon his feet, he bent his finger back to call for his servant, Antonio was never far from his Master's summons.

Antonio came forth, standing face to face with the French gentleman, Joseph Bodine. "Baron? I am here. Is there something you need?" Yes, he was sending the mortal on an errand. "Oui. I like you to drop this letter and bouquet of flowers to the place where this man, Zack lives. Tell him that Monsieur Joseph is sending his condolences."A right, white gloved hand extended the white envelope and the red tulips, thoughtfulness meant so much, it should do Zack well to know that he is not alone. Not even going to get into the real deal now did he? He figured that the wolves of the community will explain everything.

Dark blues fell on his servant, following his form as the human left through the double doors of an abandoned carriage house that the Baron chose for his resting place. An engine of a car was heard in the driveway, Joseph looked out the window watching the vehicle pull out. If Zack does get the items, he was glad for that.

The card had two blue orioles on the back, four more of them inside the card. It read:

Zack? Please get better soon. Joseph

Being sick was never fun for anyone, and Zack felt as sick as a dog. If only he felt well enough to appreciate the irony of the situation. He had been slipping in and out of consciousness since he was brought back home from the incident the night before. Since then, his condition had only gotten worse. The young mans waking hours were spent shaking and whimpering in pain and fever, and he wasn't much better sleeping. At this point, he was still fighting with himself that he was actually wake up from this nightmare. He liked himself just fine the way he was. He didn't want this. Not now, when he was finally starting to get his life back together.

His baby-blue eyes slowly worked themselves open, dull and glazed over. Just to be sure, Zack gave himself a makeshift reality check: he was still hot as hell despite only being half covered up with a fan blowing on him from the window, he was in pain all over, and his right shoulder was still wrapped in bandages, the bite festering somewhere underneath. Yep, it seemed like he would have to deal with this one way or another, whether it be with full acceptance, a mental breakdown...or worse. He felt like the breakdown was coming, if not already there.

Color? He wasn't used to seeing much else from the white and brown of the walls and furniture of his room, but red was the first thing he was this time as his eyes slowly shifted back into focus. Something was laying on the desk beside his bed...Flowers? What the hell? Someone must have sent them. Either that, or Nate or Cullen were just feeling that generous today. Nah, doubtful...there probably would have been a beer sitting on the desk instead if it were one of them. There was something else there on the desk. With some effort, Zack managed to roll over on his side a little, just enough to stretch his left arm out to grab the other object.

It was a card. A rather pretty card, with blue orioles on it. Not as pretty as the flowers were, however. He always had a bit of a thing for tulips.  But who the hell sent them? After fumbling with the card for a moment (and figuring out that he was holding it backwards), he managed to prop the card open, holding it open on the bed with his good arm while reading:

Zack? Please get better soon. Joseph

Of all the people Zackary would have thought to send flowers and a card, Joseph was certainly the last. It was a wonderful gesture, one that brought as much of a smile as Zack could muster in his current state. He hardly even knew the guy, and still Joseph was wishing him well? The smile still on his face, the young man laid his head back down on the pillow. Whatever was coming next, it didn't seem quite so bad now. He had Nate and Cullen there to help for sure, and even Joseph cared enough to send him something. Not so bad, after all.  Maybe...

Within moments, Zack was asleep again, still holding Joseph's card loosely in his hand.
