Created flame.
Limits:: He can conjure flame upon any space within a 50 yard radius of himself, the closer to him the less concentration it takes, and anything beyond 5 yards he has to be still while he creates it. The size of the flames he can initially create is a ball no larger than his fist, and he cannot force it to fly as if being thrown. He is unable to sustain the created flame by his own will.
How he is affected:: As stated above if it is a long range he is unable to move for the time it takes him to mentally conjure the flame usually ranging from 3 to 10 seconds depending on the distance. His physical appearance is not altered by conjuring flames.
Control: His control is exceptional, and he never lets this power manifest without his conscious thought.
Draining: As he continues to use this power the more he is drained. It acts much like physical exhaustion the harder he has to work to create the flame be it size or distance the greater toll it takes on him he is essentially using his energy as a fuel source. Recovering is much like how anyone would recover after working to hard, eat and rest. It is rare that he is not fully rejuvenated after a nights rest and a good meal.
Independent Flame:
Limits: When manipulating a flame he uses his abilities much like a flammable substance. He can pour energy into it to make it grow or use it to push the flame in a desired direction. He can also quell flames by using an inverse of his power, but that is much more draining and don't expect him to instantly quell the flames of a house fire. More or less it is as useful as two or three fire extinguishers.
How he is affected: His appearance does not change, but when directing flame it is much more efficient when he motions the direction in which he wants the flame to move. The more complicated the more he has to concentrate and thus is less likely to be able to move or sacrifice control.
Control: He has very little control over large flames the best he can to is try to point it in a direction and get out of the way since most of his abilities are based on increasing flames once they are large he can do little but get out of the way.
Draining: The most draining part of his power is extinguishing flames it burns through his energy quickly and often leaves him unable to continue to use his abilities for a few hours. Otherwise increasing the size of independent flame is much simpler and less draining, he can keep a fire rolling throughout most of the night on very few logs without much trouble.

H I S T O R Y :
Vincent grew up in the United Kingdom and was raised in an upper class family with most of the needs in his life met from the moment he was born. This allowed him to focus on whatever he choose to in his life instead of fighting for survival, at least till he was 16, but we will get to that later. In his early teens he found himself falling in love with cooking and music, but it was not long before he had much more of a talent for one compared to the other. Always an admirer of music he never could put his desire to use in obtaining skill in one instrument, and his voice was better left silent. That left cooking which he dove into hands first. Always seeking out ways to make the more traditional reciepies of his Italian heritage his own. Of course this often appalled his grandmother who was constantly shoving him out of the kitchen when she was attempting to prepare family meals. Eventually she gave up and embraced his presence there and nurtured him to become quite the amateur chef by the time he was 16.
It was when he was 16 that everything started to change. There was no secret that there was a power within him, and everyone in his family knew that it would someday appear if it was not coaxed out first. The problem with the Blanc family had been that those who were not trained often ended up dying in the sudden outburst of their uncontrolled powers. So it had become tradition that at the age of 16 those with the skill would be trained to master it. Vincent's trainer was his grandfather, a traditional man who had very little love of the advances of the new world, which meant that Vincent's training would be unusual. From 16 to 18 he underwent rigorous physical and mental training that altered the little dough boy physique into one of an old world warrior. Now skilled enough to control and train his powers on his own at 18 he entered in to the army and continued to hone his skills and mind into a confident strong man.
Vincent's time in the army was one filled with secrets and lies, but by the time he left at the age of 23 he was a man ready for whatever the world would throw at him. Although his passions of his youth remained instilled in him he could only choose one as a career path and with the many happy memories of his time in his grandmother's kitchen he entered into culinary school. There he did not excel, but was certainly passable which often discouraged him and pushed him away from working harder to be better. Instead he was happy with just passing and starting to focus on his other interest, Music.Never an artist but always a people person Vincent quickly made many friends in the underground music scene in London. Connections ranging from club owners to band members to managers he was always eager to pick the minds of those in the business. So when a few of his better friends decided they were going to break from their current bands and start their own he was given his first chance to manage.
With school on cruise control he thrust his energy into the new opportunity in the music industry where he went through many tough times while learning the ropes, but thanks to a hefty trust fund from his parents he was never kicked to the curb.Vincent's life had been normal for a good while now, or as normal as one with such powers could be. It all changed when he met a woman like him. Tianna was also able to control fire and also stole Vincent's attention. They had a few meetings, but the one that started the spiral of change in his life was when he saw her and her sister being confronted by two large men. He stepped in and was throughly beaten by the two men who had a supernatural advantage even on the trained paranormal. The men he later learned were were-lions, and had a history with both Tianna and her sister, Venus. The four had a history in the mob and were soon falling instep together again, all of this was happening without Vincent's knowledge and with the best intentions in mind Tianna forced him out of her life. Vincent was not out of trouble for long because fate had other things in mind.After being released from the hospital from his injuries with his first encounter with thelions he encountered Venus once again. They were outside and they were watching a building that was going to be imploded. However something went wrong and the demolition went out of control. In the mass of confusion he ended up saving her and she quickly named him her guardian angel.From then on he could not get Venus out of his mind and quickly went out of his way to find ways to spend time with here. The more they spent time together the more feelings grew between them and before he knew it Vincent was asking her to run away with him. All of their meetings were secret from her sister and Tony, but they could not hide forever. It was shortly after his proposal to Venus on her birthday that Tianna found out about the couple. Tianna quickly altered their caretaker Tony, one of the lions who had turned Vincent to mush on their first meeting, and he sets out on the hunt for Vincent. Not being able to stay away from the love of his life Vincent meets Venus at a public street festival which is that last time she saw him. Tony catches him with Venus and attacks, this time the fight ends with Tony stabbing Vincent and leaving him for dead then stealing Venus away.Although most thought that Vincent died that day at the festival he managed to survive and was forced into hiding for his own protection. It was then his funeral was faked for the public eye to cover and help with his deception of his killer. After his long recovery he still kept tabs on Venus, but never was she far enough away from Tony where he felt comfortable exposing himself to her again.When she changed her appearance to hide from Tony and Tianna Vincent lost her too.
Assuming she was gone from his life forever he started his new life in the US and moved to New Orleans shortly after the disastrous Katrina. Vincent has been in the area for little over a year and has restarted his business V & V recording, a name that was a tribute to his lost love. Recently moving into a new building V&V recording is currently acting as representation and management for up and coming talent as well as a rent able music studio.
