-When Milo took a moment to call Paulie he wasn't even sure the man was in town. Paulie was part of the Rodere but his 'job' meant he travelled a lot. So Milo was never sure where that fucker was. When the voicemail picked up he left a short message.-
"Paulie, if you're in town get your ass to the house pronto. That is not a request. If you're not in town, then stay the fuck out of town. Either way call me and tell me your stats. Keep your guard up."
When at last he wasable to give anyone a call, he had noticed that he'd missed more than just Milo's call, but at least twenty others from miscellaneous people. It wasn't easy getting a phone back from a petty thief thesebut that was not an excuse Milo wanted to hear. He figured he was knee deep in the shit now, especially with the date of the call going as far back as the 9th.
"Yeah, everything's fine, had a couple run-ins with the law and had some greasy crackhead lift my phone off of me just so he could get a few more sellers on his list. Other than that I'm still alive. Go fucking figure. About not coming back into town... What's the deal?"
Figures it was Milo's answering machine that he was talking to, but at this rate he felt a minor relief come over him just knowing that he gave Milo that much of a response.
