-Once everyone had told their stories and things calmed down a bit at the Rodere house, or as calm as it ever got there, Milo took the time to call Jessica. He knew there was a good chance she'd be in with Vesta still, but he was prepared to leave her a message. So when her machine picked up he just went ahead and gave her what information he could at that point.-
"The red and blue aren't on us. Mom and kid are fine and we've got our rats gathering here for now. Till everyone shows up we're just cooling our heels. Right now the tigers don't know about you so I'd suggested keeping your leopards close but well away from us until this is over. Have the clinic on stand by in case shit hits the fan. I'll call when I know more and let me know how blondies doing when you're done. I love ya babe."
-The message was simple enough and as coded as he could make it under the circumstances. Most of all he wanted Jessie and her cats out of harms way. The Rodere wasn't sort on fighters and Jessie was more valuable for her ability to heal than to fight so keeping her somewhere safe was important. Hanging up the phone he kept the cell in his back pocket in case she left a message for him.-
After getting Vesta treated, Jessica had a moment to herself, waiting on bloodtests was always the worst part of any treatment. She'd heard her phone ring earlier but had to let the voicemail take it and finally had the chance to listen.
She breathed a sigh of relief at the message, calling back to give Milo an update. "I might have some information that might help you out regarding the tigers. I'll let you know once I review it all. I'm having two of mine come here to back me up and run errands if needed and I pulled Kota away from Theo and Alex's place." Because she and Art were living there after all. "I'll keep an ear on official channels too. Be safe. I love you."
As she disconnected the line she had to force away the memory of the last time they lived in New Orleans. Pulling silver out of his chest was not one of her fonder memories after all.
-When he had a second he checked his messages and sent off a quick text reply to Jessie.-
"Good babe, stay safe. From now on contact Tommy. He's glued to his phone. Let him know about the girl and any intel you get from your source. Love ya."
-Milo was turning communication over to Tommy because once shit started popping off he wouldn't be using his. It seemed like the best plan.-
