After hanging up or being hung up on, depending on how you look at it, by Jess he brought up Dakota's number and dialed. She'd be in classes at the moment so it might be hit or miss. First was a text message.
"Something goin down involving tigers, meeting Jess at the hospital. She said you could come with, or go to the Pard House. Up to you." Personally Artemus would rather Kota stay at the pard house, that way if shit happened he wouldn't have a distraction. He relayed the same message both verbally and in the text message and left it at that while heading to get his journal.
It was her Pre Algebra class. She was totally happy for the interuption. When the text buzzed first, she ducked the phone down into her lap, checking the message, and half listening to the teacher. Her Final was next week, so today was a review. Reading what Art said, she was starting to text back when he actually called. Getting up and quickly ducking outside the classroom, she answered.
"Mi gato, the hell's going on? What's this about tigers?"
She listened as he spoke rapidly.
"Duh, i'm comming with you to the hospital." It was said like it should have been obvious. And she had a feeling he knew her well enough, he knew that was gonna be her answer. They could argue about it on the way.
"I'll be home in 15 minutes to get you." What? She had the truck after all. And they'd yet to get Art a new vehical for himself. "Love you"
phone disconnected after his goodbye and she pped back into the classroom, slipping up to the teacher, and murmmered quickly that there was a family emergency and she had to go. The teacher nodded with hopes that everything was alright. Kota grabbed her bag and her books and ducked out again. Booking it to the truck, and she was off to pick up Art.
