I'm taking a slight page from Miss Anne Rice here. In her Mayfaire Series, it isn't uncommon for Cousins (second and third cousins) to get together and keep the family blood flowing.
My idea for this character is a cousin of Cypress, who is a powerful earth witch, a cousin she has never seen, so it wouldn't be odd for her to fall for this man (and in turn he for her).
The PB I have in mind is JRM. I'm super picky on who plays him (which means he might forever stay in my head), because Cypress is very near and dear to my heart (and a few others as well).
In regards to a first name and history, that's all negotiable. I want this to be a joint effort. I really want to be able to connect with the player through the creation of the Character. Please let me know whoever likes to take up the challenge.
