Preliminary report on unknown species resembling the Greater Smokey mountain troll:

Executioner: Titus Morgan

Physical characteristics of this creature include but are not limited to:

Height: 9’7’’

Weight: 715lbs.

Skin: Tough hide resembling the hide plating of a rhinoceros. Calcium deposits on the plating as an extra defense. Zoologist believes calcium deposits are a direct result from a vitamin D deficiency. Calcium deposits are created when troll moves around during the daylight, UV radiation creates the deposits. On future executions higher caliber rounds are needed to penetrate the plating and the creature seems weak against fire so magnesium tracer rounds at close range should do the trick.

Binocular vision – Like most predators the creature has eyes in front for sighting prey. Believe to have greatly diminished eyesight during the day due to extreme sensitivity to UV spectrum. Waiting on zoological report to confirm. Executioners note: Dealing with this thing during the day proved to be dangerous but not critical. The possible diminished eyesight of the creature made it to where I could escape an attack with less than serious injury.

Tusks – The creature had large tusks protruding up from the lower jaw and indicated to be secondary canines. Believed to be offensive in nature to gore prey or entrap smaller prey such as humans. Unsure on whether the tusks are male specific since no female has been sighted.

Sonic qualities- Waiting on zoological confirmation but during the encounter the creature seemed to use loud roars and guttural tones to communicate in a fight or flight scenario. Executioners note: I’ve dealt with all manner of creatures but when this troll let out a tone or roar it made me want to flee without hesitation. I personally believe a ranged attack is best against this creature.

Heightened speed and strength- With impressive size the creature was able to move with supernatural agility. Though currently believed to be a natural creature and not supernatural, the creature moves with an incredible speed and grace usually associated with supernatural creatures. Use caution when approaching.

Regeneration- Believed to have enhanced regeneration. The creature was shot multiple times with high powered ammunition and continued to move. Hours later, massively wounded areas were healing at the same rate of most supernatural creatures. Believed that creature could not truly die unless the synaptic functions are interrupted. Fire is believed to be the only true way to injure the creature with any degree of usefulness.

Execution methods- Supersonic rounds fired from a Barrett XM500 seemed to perform well. Ammunition used was a magnesium tipped and copper jacketed around a gold, silver and iron core. Since creature is believed to be natural the use of gold, silver and iron did not play a determining factor in final death. 40mm incendiary rounds from a grenade launcher did the disabling blow but only when the head was separated from the body did the creature experience true death. Smaller rounds fired from a Para-Ordnance P14 seemed to do nothing but agitate the creature. Cell research at the zoological center will determine actual weaknesses to creature should another like it appear for execution. This file and all other findings on the creature can be found in the Federal archives of the Marshal’s service. All actions and final execution were done to ensure the safety of the civilian populace.
