This rp is a result of the 911 call to Georgia Grace from Ren.And it was an emergency!Ren needed to go….to the mall. We’d appreciate it if you join in, but please let Georgia get her post in before that.Thank you!
"Sounds great!" Ren said to Georgia, meanwhile her mind was saying 'Whatchyou talkin' bout Willis?' "See you then!" she added with a little extra perkiness, because Georgia Grace seemed very pleased with this adventure.
After hanging up she finished putting her things back where they belonged. Rearranged the small figurines on her dresser. Three sets of three gargoyles. Each with a different pose but all the same approximate height. They'd been knocked askew in her rampage through her dresser.
With that finished in roughly 15 minutes, she had time to sit and wait for Georgia Grace to come along. She tried to keep herself occupied by googling club attire, and was amazed at some of what she found. Forcing herself to stay off the mats and gym equipment to pass the time. She may not have been one to know the difference between Prada and Gucci...or knock offs of said products...but she did know that one did not go try on clothes all sweaty and smelly.
Though sitting in the living room made her antsy, the whole thing had her anxious. She went into the bathroom real fast and opened her medicine cabinet.Yup there they are. One, two, three….pop in the mouth, faucet turned on and holding her hair back she drank from the cold water that ran from the tap.Wiping her mouth with the back of her hand she checked herself in the mirror, she then decided to go wait outside.
She sat on the stoop, the three concrete steps that led up to the door. The toes of her converse were tapping on the cement.Ren heard an engine approaching long before the blue jeep turned the corner.Standing, Ren waved to the driver who was visible, not only to her keen eyesight, but because the top was down.
Approaching the very pretty vehicle, Ren whistled in appreciation.“Nice ride!” She moved to the passenger side and slid into the very comfortable seats.“To the mall?” Trying to muster up the excitement that was quite visible on Georgia Grace’s face.Ren knew she was about to embark on not just a shopping trip, but an adventure to say the least.
After showering and running a dry towel through her hair, soaking up quite a bit of the moisture, and running her wide tooth comb through the locks, she dressed in a soft cotton spring time dress. The top was a soft fabric that cupped her just so, with straps that were about the size of shoe strings, the skirt flared out lightly and danced about her mid thighs. It was a light green in color nothing splashy about the dress, with eyelet details around the hems. Because she would not have pockets in the dress, and she planned on doing some shopping as well, and not to mention no where to hide her license, she grabbed a small black leather purse. The purse was nothing fancy as the girl normally did not carry one, a leather strap, two zippers, and big enough for her phone, wallet, and keys to be tossed inside with a little extra room.
Pulling up she felt her lips curling upwards, as she pressed the brake, and shifted into park as she spotted Ren. She would of gotten out but Ren was walking towards the jeep, man the girl must be anxious to get to the mall, which just tickled Georgia Grace to pieces. “Thanks, I’m kind of fond of him.” Yes her Jeep was a male, all of Georgia’s Grace’s vehicles were males and they all had names. If Ren looked in the back she would see a small stuffed Ewok just chilling on the seat. She wasn’t sure what she was going to do with the little guy, Legolas, was it’s name, but so far he was a jeep decoration. Her smile touched her words, so the honey sound had a warmth undertone. “So are you ready for this?” And since when was hanging out with Georgia Grace not an adventure?
After Ren was situated in the jeep, pressing her foot on the brake she shifted into drive, and off they were. The drive wasn’t to horribly long before the pulled up to the mall. Once she found a parking spot she slid the jeep into the spot, before placing it into park and hopping out, grabbing her purse. After Ren got out she moved with a quickness of having done the next step a million times, and put the soft roof up on the jeep before locking it.
Soon they would be in the mall, the place that Georgia Grace was going to love making Ren try on clothing. She turned to look at Ren as they walked. “You said to start with the basic’s right?” And if that was so, Georgia Grace would lead Ren into the mall and straight to a lingerie shop.
If Owen didn't know better, he would have said, Malls wasn't one of his best places cause it was so...girly. Reminded him of Kailee, his little sister who he was the closest in the Connors bloodline. He was riding around town checking out more new hotspots he hasn't already tackled. The Tulane University hasn't been forgotten, he'll go there when he has explored nooks and crannies of the Cajun borders. While driving, he opened his glove compartment to remove a CD casing that held all of his music CDs. Taking one from the plastic cover, he slipped it into the CD compartment of his car stereo. Tapped the button until it was at the beginning. Some good old rock n roll. The Beatles was strumming through his speakers as he continued driving his dark blue Volvo. He almost chose a convertible, but when he spotted this baby he just had to have it. Purchased it, then took the vehicle out for a spin the very first week he got it. Tires smooth down the street, cars moving past as he stopped at a few traffic lights then eased his car through heading to the Mall which was his next destination on the guide. Haven't been there cause what good would someone who saved his money be doing at a large store that sold whatever the consumer wanted. This wasn't him, but couldn't help to not give the business a try.
Make an excuse that employees expects the buyer to approach their boutiques to spend their hard earned money. Right hand on the steering wheel, it's dark rubber feeling cool as he touched. As the description of the Mall's exterior into his peripheral vision, he parked his vehicle between some other automobiles in a parallel park and exited the driver's side of the car slamming the door. Pushing the button on his remote to his Volvo, the loud beep heard a few blocks away. Pocketing the keys in his right pocket, he bounded to the front automatic doors and entered into a humongous space filled with all kinds of people walking here and there. So many customers, neither of them fit anyone he knows. His keen nasal cavities opened to detection of all the scents from rubber to the cloth that surrounded the area which he stood. Owen wore a gray, plaid, polyester shirt with red stripes looking like a plain lad anyone finds on the street. A pair of dark blue, jeans with the logo "levi's"covered his legs and some dress shoes made him look clean, burgundy shade. His hair was neatly groomed, hazel pools scanned the crowd some more though their scents confusing.
There was a fragrance he did know that told him someone he knew had been here not too long ago. No point in trailing the smell to it's owner, he chose another route, there was a candy store and sweets wasn't half bad. Stepping into the boutique, a nice woman with dark brown hair having a bun style with a violet scrunchie holding it place stared in the man's direction. Her mood was smooth, though, her gaze seem to fully..take him in, to her there was an idea she liked him in a lustful way that is. As for Owen, he looked around not sure if he'll buy or observe the sweetness that reminded him of a giant toy store. The lady spoke in a gentle voice, not hinting she was looking at his figure from afar. "Please sir. Have a search around. I am sure that you may find what you seek." Owen canted his head, smiling warmly. "Thank you. I probably will." He bent down a bit, checking out the lemonheads and the M&M's section to the gummi section. All of these look delicious, but the beast inside of him sneered not even thinking of sugar when he wanted a bit of flesh. Ignoring him, he went about his business.
Ren couldn't control the Jock Jams tune "are you ready for this" that went through her mind at Georgia's comment. She swallowed hard, smiled, and nodded.
It wasn't like she'd never been to a mall before. She had been, numerous times. Just usually with a different agenda. As far as malls went, this one was very nice indeed.
"The basics, yeah sure." Ren replied looking around. But when Georgia led her to the lingerie store, Ren balked. "Wait, whoa, hold on....what do we need this stuff for?...No one's gonna be checking out my underwear." She had her very serviceable sports bras, varying in colors of black, white and tan. And her comfy drawers, not grannie drawers, but nothing too fancy either. Serviceable. They did what they needed to do and Ren was alright with that.
Georgia Grace had been able to find the mall in every city she visited from the time she was old enough to drive, she was always the one her friends called when they had a mall emergency, and she had always came to the rescue. It was almost as if the girl, who had no other radars, had found her very own mall radar.
Georgia Grace saw the balking Ren, and the way the girl just stopped walking, when Georgia Grace had kept right on walking in. Turning in mid step to come back around and link her arm in Ren’s she let out a twinkling laugh. “Ren…you have to have the proper under garments for the clothing. “ She was tugging on Ren now to get her into the store. “I am guessing all of your clothing is serviceable, that is not what one wears to parties and clubs.” Her head was shaking sending her dark auburn locks dancing out about her. “The lady will measure you in here to make sure you get the right size, did you know so many females have the wrong size bra, because they don’t know how to figure it out.” Her head was shaking at that. “If it makes you feel better I will get measured first.” She thought to offer that because Georgia Grace was used to such things. Even as she spoke she was nodding and tugging Ren in. “And it’s good to have a few sets, that are in fun colors, as well.” Oh poor Ren, and her happy stash of blackness.
Georgia Grace was scanning over the place, she hadn’t signaled a employee yet, but she spotted a adorable pink and black polka dot set and well that’s where Ren was going. The cups were not the sort that would completely cover the breasts, more like put them out like on a shelf, the undies were not granny panties but they weren’t a thong either, but they weren’t something that one would call serviceable.
He put the bag of assorted goodies on the counter, purchased it with his Master's Card, and grabbed it in his right hand. "Come back anytime. Shop here again." Letting her know he most definitely be back here if on instinct he got a sweet tooth on most of his days like now. As he was walking the halls of the giant store unable to figure out where to go next. Aha! Something for his new home he thought about adding a few decorations to his living room. Stepping into the Interior Designs store he looked here and there, noting some of the workers here was short. A tall, fellow with a black goatee, greeted the young shifter in a courteous manner. Have to be considerate to those walking in, being nice was what every employee must do on the job. "Welcome sir. Please look around, if there is something that strikes your fancy, I'll ring it up for you." Oh! Wasn't he kind? He realizes that's what every worker does to swindle you out of your cold hard cash. It's how Manufacturers did things when it comes to doing business. Owen knows a lot about that.
Listening to the soothing melodies of a classical music pouring through the speakers on the walls, so if customers came in, they'll be shopping with a bit of sound to help them shop smart. If Owen bought, he would shop at the lowest prices than higher one's. If it hadn't been for his sweet, mommie dearest, that might've been where he learned to purchase with care. As he was just down the aisle, he nearly bumped into three pigtails with auburn, long hair. Looking into the pretty eyes of his sister, youngest in his family, was nonetheless Kailee! What was she doing here?! Surprised, she was spooked to seeing him in a store. He didn't even like shopping unless he was either dragged or he was sightseeing. If anyone knew Owen, it was Kailee since they was the closest. "Kailee?! What? But?" A moment of silence, then the two embraced tightly, he nearly shattered her bones when she announced in wonder. "Wow! Owen? How'd you get so? strong? I was sure you was a scrawny kid back in our neighborhood." A small thought in his head, then he found a proper response to her curiousity. "I been working on building myself up. I just got so tired of everyone picking on little ol' me." He saw Kailee continued to browse thinking about sticking around her brother longer.
She was down here with their pops, he was on a business trip. "Dad really misses you Owen. We all do. I know you spend so much time at the hospital now that you have followed your dreams to being what you always wanted to be. We're supporting whatever it is you do. To us, you'll be successfu cause we already know how very intelligent you are. "Aww! How sweet? Since she was here, they can continue exploring the mall. He saw Kailee's bags in each hand. That's her alright, she's a shop-a-holic one hundred percent. Kailee looked up, then asked something. "You rarely shop. I figured you probably will be here for your own reasons." Nice to have family who really took care of you, loved you, and even would be there if it means a lot. Yep, he was definitely just here to look around. Dakota and Kailee were always at every store imaginable, so that means she was here but Kailee mentioned she was doing something in town so maybe he can come over the hotel to visit his folks. He may just do that.

The mall wasn't your typical place to find Nate, but on occasion the man did need new cloths. Today found him meandering the aisles at Pac Sun. A pair of shorts in his hand as he approached the counter. Grabbing a set of swim trunks as well he paid and slipped out. Brown hues looked about the mall and with his shields on lock down save his scent he was fairly undetectable.
Slipping into Spencers he picked out a few geek riddled shirts and purchased them as well. Once more back in the fray of the mall traffic, it was about then Nate remembered why he avoided malls. Not only the crying children at every turn because they didnt get what they wanted, or the human nature to be able to understand through lanes one a highway, but put them in a mall and no one understands the coming and going of traffic, bipedal or on four wheels.
Avoiding the more populated area's to settle his aggrivation with people, Nate eased along the side and looked for stores that peeked his interest. Slipping into a sports store here, a movie store there. Slipping past the Old Navy and into a Game Stop he was lost in the xbox games. He did however pull out his phone and send a text to Peach. -You have played an xbox right?- Picking out a few games as he pockets the cell and carried on browsing.
"Measured? I'm five foot five." Ren answered as she was properly led through the very frilly store. When Georgia stopped in front of the pink and black set Ren reached out and touched the fabric. "Where's the rest of it?"
She gawked at the clothing, and in some cases lack there of. She gave a shrug, if Georgia said she needed these things, then she supposed she did. Picking up a thong off the table of many colored thongs, the devil on her shoulder took over. It was as if she truly couldn't help herself.
"Hey Georgia Grace?" When Georgia would turn to look at her, pretty much the same time her phone would indicate she had a text, Ren used the thong as a sling shot and got Georgia in the chest with a snap.
The saleswoman didn't find the humor in it. But Ren promised from then on she'd be on her best behavior.
Oh that was funny, and Georgia was laughing, even though she was a good three inches shorter then Ren. “Not your height, your bust size.” A shake of her head, even though her smile stayed in place, almost as if it was the most normal thing in the world. “You have to make sure that your girls are properly taken care of.” And then Ren was talking about the cute lil number that Georgia had pointed at, and she started to laugh. “It’s all there…you will get used to such things Ren.” A small almost knowing nod.
Georgia Grace had turned to look at something else, it was on a rack near the middle of the store, a black and light purple corset, she had started to make her way towards it, because she liked it for herself, when she heard Ren, she turned before she felt the thong hitting her the same time her phone vibrated, and rang a default buzz, which was shaking inside the small purse. Laughing she took the thong and walked back over to Ren. “As much you might think it’s a sling shot...it isn’t.” A shake of her head, as she reached into the purse, to grab out the vibrating phone.
Looking at the message she laughed, she could of smiled she could of stayed quiet but she laughed. And that caused her to text him back right quick, though her attention was not taken away from Ren. Even as the sales lady was coming out, which caused her to text what she was saying. “So are you going first for measurements or do you want me too?” She had been measured not that long ago but this wasn’t about her, it was about her friend. So the text that Nate got back was, -So are you going first for measurements or do you want me too?- Then she realized what she did and she went…-Crud…ignore that….No…I haven’t played Xbox…sorry…what’s going on?- Of course, she would be curious and did he really think that she had played an Xbox before? From what he knew of her, that was, it would seem to not fit in at all.
A handful of games later he was waiting inline when the theme song for Firefly started to play and was met with a small applaud for fallen Browncoat hero's. Nate shook his head and looked at the texts in one hand. A brow arched as he read the first one and was already half way through his response before the next one came in. -I thought you got the measurement already? Oh, haha....nevermind. I figured as much, care to learn?- He sent it back shaking his head to her texts and then paid for his games and eased out of the store walking along on the right side of the aisle.
"No retreat, no surrender...I'll go first." Ren said bravely. Inside, she was shaking in her boots. She'd rather go up againts a dozen pissed off master vamps, than be in this frilly underwear shop. But. Georgia Grace was a God send to Ren. She knew what she had on, basically, everything in her almost bare closet and dresser, would never pass muster in the clubs she'd seen around the Quarter. And fashion wasn't her forte...now Georgia....knew her stuff. So Ren stepped up bravely.
She waited until Georgia finished her text, then asked, "What do I do first?"
She felt her lips quirk as she heard Ren’s words. “It’s really not that bad. And don’t think of it as a bad touch…she has to get your measurements.” Georgia Grace was nodding her head, even as a worker came forward, with a measuring tape around her neck. She looked between the two, waiting, for she had heard some of the conversation. She looked up from the phone to Ren. “Just go with her, you go behind the curtain...she lets you know what size you should be getting then we find some cute ones for you.” A nod of her head, as if it was a every day thing and a simple and easy thing. Of course, Georgia Grace would have to suggest to Ren that she learn what they do with the numbers that they measure and she can get someone else to do it for her.
When Ren went off with the sales lady, Georgia Grace went with them but she did not go behind the curtain, instead she looked at her phone when it buzzed again. Her mis matched eyes read across the text, before she burst out laughing, not that she was going to say why she did, but she did. Her head was even shaking, as she did. But text back she did. -I thought a little fun in the fitting room. - She couldn’t help it before she continued the text, she was laughing lightly as she continued the text. -Sure. You can continue your path to corrupting me. When did you want to start the lessons?- She hoped he would realize she meant the xbox lessons, not something else.
Ren went behind the curtian with the nice lady. 'Not a bad touch?' She thought. 'As opposed to what?'..."Hey watch it!" Ren said perhaps a little too loudly. The soft voice of the woman doing the measuring would drift though the curtian, but not the exact words. Whatever the woman said to Ren worked, for she didn't come running out nor did the woman go flying out through said curtian.
After a moment or two, Georgia would hear the woman exclaim. "My, what a lovely tattoo dear." The words were insincere, Ren knew it, the woman knew it, and anyone that heard knew it. "Thanks." Ren said cheerfully.
Owen thought about going elsewhere to buy a bedroom and living room set he seen in a catalog. A mall would certainly be great when it came to purchasing presents or gifts for those you love or for your friends. A big spender he wasn't one of them, but he selected the best prices if it was available. Too much money he told himself, Kailee tugged his left free hand as she shouted excitedly. "Come now brother! Let's go to see the tinkerbell show! I saw it down at the Disney Store." He remembered her favorite were faeries of all kinds. When Kailee was a child, her dream was to be a faerie princess. Owen never had a dull moment around her whenever she came into town better be ready to fill your bank account. A con-artist when she wanted something but thanks to daddy dearest she was given a credit card to spend, spend, spend. Maxmillian, their Financial and Accountant father was always willing to part with her, just to tease, he loved all his children. Daughters and the only son being the doctor himself. As she bounced in her cotton, blue-green dress, spaghetti straps showing off her bony arms, creamy beige skin was soft, her scent apple blossoms with a pint of evergreen filled the air.
She did not leave the room without dappling her special aroma products. Walking and talking, Kailee walked with her brother. "It's great having a Physician in our bloodline! That makes it easier for us should we choose a doctor." A small sigh, he corrected his practice was Dermatology and Counselor. "I doubt I'm fit for any other field, but I do know a lot about healing and ailments, medicines even." A small chuckle, giving her an update what he does even though, his family knew that from the start. Kailee rolled her eyes. "Swell, but I have known you too long. You could probably build an airplane. Do you remember you drew your own blueprint, then built a model airplane. At school, you had one of your Science Fairs. Your project was the best, you won second prize." Oh! That! His Science Fair project with how an airplane operates and the parts of it, while he never flew an airplane in his life he may have well chosen to become a pilot had mom been alive then. Flying was one of his choices when he was younger. That or a Sailor. As they was rounding a corner, he smelt the wind for a familiar scent that belonged to someone he knew a little, just never got to personally know him from their first meeting on the pier. He saw Nate exiting the games store. What a coincidence that both was here?
There was silence not sure if it was a good idea to go tackle the lad seeing a fellow shifter except both was different breeds, always good knowing you wasn't alone in the supernatural world hmm? Owen loved games when he was doing nothing else, he was playing his X-box 360 and connecting to Kinect. Action, Fighting, or Simulators including virtual reality was among his titles he chose. Adventure wasn't all that bad either, but he kept to the stuff he grew up with. He wasn't about to approach the lion from behind, not smart when you was doing it to someone who was partially human. Owen listened to the Firefly theme. Wow! Kailee looked to him asking if she knew that guy over there. A light smile curled, giving a low nod. "I do. He's an acquaintance of mine. Best to make New Orleans an adventure while you're here sis." He lead her to the familiar fellow, he greeted Nate and at the same time introduced his baby sister who was in her mid twenties. About twenty-five, but her appearance and demeanor was clearly child-like in comparison.
At first, you will think she was an adult trapped in a little girl's body. Livid hues of pale blue looked at the guy who Owen spoke of, his name was Nate. "Hello." After a brief introductory, Kailee stood beside her big brother cause she was of average height, about five foot six inches with her figure to die for as most of the bachelor men was undoubtly glancing in her direction wanting a piece of her. Owen cocked his head a bit, watching them with eyes that was innocent, but those eyes of his beast was giving them a gap between their line and his sibling here. Protective he became even while those guys kept making flirty comments about his loving sissy beside him.
Returning his head to Nate, giving a pleasant smile. "Hey Nate. It's been awhile. I didn't think you'd be the shopping type. "Owen socializing would be quite news breakage. It was that he kept to the people he spoke to and those he preferred that they were worth the time. He found Nate to be interesting the first night they met, so hopefully he won't bumble it...too much.
Hearing the ringtone go off again he looked down to his phone and shook his head to her response. -I'll keep that in mind. As for your corruption, I'm at the mall right now maybe a few hours? I just bought some new titles.- Hitting send he heard his name being called and turned those browns towards Owen as he approached. A young lady in toe. Nate was polite and did the polite up down then looked towards Owen again.
Being introduced he nodded. "Hello." He smiled to her then turned towards own as he spoke about shopping. "I had a few things I needed to pick up and thought I would waste some time. How about you? Doing the welcome to Nawlins tour?" His brow arched looking between the siblings and slipping his cell back into his pocket.
Of course, Georgia Grace heard it, just not sure what all the mumbles were. And Ren could hear Georgia laughing, yes she was laughing, on the other side of that curtain. “Ren…it’s not that bad. I mean, its not like she’s doing something that doesn’t happen to many females to make sure they buy the right size.” She really did think it was a funny thing.
She would wait until Ren came out, before she went behind the curtain. She got measured and realized that the size had not changed from the last time, which was what she figured. The lady was a bit, off put by Georgia Grace, because while she stood there her arms out, she had laughed, and then sent a text back to Nate. -I’m at the mall with Ren. Clothes shopping. Maybe we will see you.- She loved clothes shopping. -But if nothing comes up, get in touch, and if I’m free it sounds like a plan.- She never knew if something might come up, and they both had a few things that they would probably cancel on the other for. After hitting send she thanked the woman, before slipping out with Ren.
“Are you sure you won’t do the cute little pink and black polka dot undies?” Even as she spoke she went back to that corset, the black one with the light purple lacing, finding it in her size, and holding onto it, for she was buying the item. She wasn’t bringing up the text messages, unless Ren asked her of course, she wouldn’t out and out lie to her.
Ren felt...violated. But she smiled at Georgia when she came out. She could hear the back and forth texting, and her giggles. Ren though was pretty much non intrusive, mostly..ok sometimes. This time, she'd wait. If Georgia wanted her to know, she'd tell her.
Picking up the pink and black outfit that Georgia indicated she held the hanger against her chest. "Really? You think so? I mean..its so....." She really was at a loss for words. "Small." Is what she finally came up with. Most of this stuff was.
She saw Georgia messing with the corset and shivers ran down her spine. Back in the day women were forced to wear them. Now they willingly wore them! At least in these times, they were more decoration than function, "These do go under the clothing right?" She just wanted to make sure.
With a smile, she looked Georgia Grace directly in the eyes. "I came to you for help, and I'm being a shit. You tell me what I need, and I will be have and get what you say."
She pulled out a black credit card. "Price is not an issue. And you my dear, would look adorable in that." How did she know? There were three guys staring at Georgia Grace in the stores window. She didn't need to read minds to know what they were thinking.
Nate wasn't the only werelion he's met in town. The other being another whose power was far from his own. Logan's name did not rise as the conversation slipped to his sibling whose adorable figure was impressing the men around the store, but glad to see they left as it was starting to overwhelm him quite a bit. His hazel hues side glanced to his acquaintance, meeting up with more shifters from most he encountered during his travels. A lion was impressive, he has crossed a few on his travels going back home so when he came to NOLA, there wasn't too many of them roaming around other than a few common species, including a few weretigers. Owen heard a scream, then a shriek, as a young girl struggled with her abusive mother who smacked her three times with a loud contact to flesh. That was wrong, very wrong.
The child was six years of age who just wanted to be loved and so her daughter was being whacked for something she did except such behavior is no doubt the reason most kids grow up to ignore their parents or sneak out even when the parent suggest they can't visit their friends. It becomes a battle field. A light sigh, sympathizing with the child as Nate inquired him about Kailee, who was looking elsewhere and not exactly at child and mother interacting in such an abrasive action. If favor was on his soul right now, he may have backslapped her but his manliness said otherwise, don't hit the ladies no matter how bitchy they might be. A gentleman Owen was until the day he rolled in his grave.
A low smile to the other feline as he spoke on behalf of his child-like sibling next to his side. "She and my other sister is in town with our father whose on a business trip. Since they'll be sticking around a few days I thought why not? I'm being the tour guide til they head on back home." He answered for it was definitely real kind of him wasn't it? Looking after those in the neighborhood. He looked down at Nate's bag with the games in them. "Do you play any games Nate?" It was a hunch, not that he was curious. Then again, it was that catty nature that was apart of the felidae universe. Curiosity killing cats was despicable. That's cause kit's rule? And won't go overboard with the Milo and Otis speech. He wasn't exactly being nosy, but for all he knows Nate could be purchasing items for someone else?
Nate looked to his bag then back up to owen. His eyes darted to the mother and child but diverted back to Owen. It wasnt his business. "Yeah I play all the systems but I prefer the xbox. We played it alot over seas." Nate responded his eyes looking to the quiet sister then back to owen.
"I'm still looking around if you want to join." He offered pulling out his cell and responding to Peach. -I got Owen and his sis here, where are you maybe we can meet up?- Safety in numbers right? Even if she was a human and the other one a trixy vamp thing he still didnt totally understand.
She saw the look that Ren gave her, and she let out a small laugh, as she shook her head. Pointing at the phone. “It’s Nate.” A chuckle because the man amused her. Not that it really took all that much to amuse Georgia Grace, and seeing she liked males, that was a bonus.
She was laughing so hard at Ren, it wasn’t Ren’s fault. “Go try it on…” She gave a small nod of her head. “Don’t have to model it…just see what it looks like. You want it to be sexy yet not to uncomfortable. But really being uncomfortable might be good, because you know it looks good. And yes no one see‘s those unless you want them to. But you have to start with the basics!” It was one of those things, that in the beginning it was uncomfortable but it didn’t stay that way.
Her lips quirked upwards, “It’s okay Ren, it’s not something that your used too, but I promise I won’t harm you to much.” As in getting her to wear other clothing. She turned that smile to Ren. “Thanks…because I think I am fond of it.” She wasn’t one that had to wear a corset and even back in the day when it was a pain she might of liked it, but she loved the feeling now. But she was oblivious to the three guys that were staring in the window, which was probably a good thing or she would of waved at them. Which might of embarrassed them.
She had set the corset down on the counter, where they would hold it for her, when she got Nate’s text message. -Sure now you want me around! Lol.- Yes, that was the text, when she called out to Ren. “I will be right back.” Just out of curiosity, she went to the door way, and she did notice the three sets of eyes that had been watching her, and she did give them a wave. They all seemed to be watchers and not to brave because they went zipping away from the window. When she reached the entrance of the store, she peeked her head out, and to her surprise she spotted the back of Owen and his sister’s heads, so she assumed because that was Nate, talking to them.
Having already called out to Ren, she slipped from the store, oh she wasn’t leaving her friend, no no, but she was going to go say hello. And when she was close enough, and careful so she wouldn’t run into Owen or his sister, she took a jump, because Nate was at least a foot taller then her, and wrapped her arms around Nate, in a pounce type movement, pressing a kiss to his lips, her voice was soft as she spoke to Nate. “Hey you,“ before turning to give Owen a happy little smile, that did include his sister. “Hi Owen…and you must be Owen’s sister.” She was smiling to the two of them. “I’m Georgia Grace….” She left it open for Owen’s sister to pop in her name.
Then she looked back to Nate, “I have to get back to Ren…and pay for my purchase….but if you guys want to give us a moment….” She looked between the three of them…landing her gaze on Owen‘s little sister. ”Perhaps you would like to help me pick out clothes for Ren.” And then a impish little grin shot to Nate. “And you can help me figure out what I am to wear when you corrupt me?” That was said in the sweetest of tones, of course, she was talking about playing Xbox, but she just…couldn’t help herself sometimes, she liked to play with the words.
Peach? Who was Peach? Didn't know who she was so glad to be able to participate. Kailee beamed as it was so sweet of Nate to take an adorable gal like her hmm? Knowing eventually she'll have to be home very soon. Dad will be worried if his sweet child was out there all by her little self yes? Owen doubt she'll be as quiet for too long, the girl could go on and on about things that she liked. Games? Wow! He plays X-Box too? "That's neat!" He remembered the overseas part when they first met, he did scrutinize him when they greeted each other knowing there just was no way he was from America.
Then again, looks can be deceiving. Looking around, not aware that Nate knew the women that will be a shocker indeed, small world isn't it? "I would be glad to. If it's okay with your friends?" Owen said, he'll be okay with not being invited regardless. "Have a Kinect?" It was the new installment to gamers who used their bodies instead of a controller. How invention strive to bring a new generation to the new millennium. As for the parental brutality from earlier, Owen didn't bother. As Goofy once said, one should not meddle in affairs..or is it, no meddling.
He didn't, so left the episode to their own accord. Besides, he was thinking to get out more and stop hiding behind his desk so much. Living in solitude made him think of his "hermit" years, spending his new life as a shifter in a forest so that he could have the acres all to himself. His leopard was territorial like that, likes a bit of land all to his little self, if the opportunity struck.
She waved to Georgia as she walked into the room..again. this time pulling off her clothes and neatly folding them and placing them on the seat. Then she put on the pink and black number that Georgia said would be good. She heard her friend say she'd be right back.
She had to admit that it was sort of Victoria Secret catalog good. Ren turned this way and that, looking herself over. "Damn she was right." She thought. And it covered the vital bits, and that was a plus. Poking her head out between the curtians she looked around for Georgia.
Spotting her outside the shop with Owen and...what was his name again...oh yeah Nate, and a female that seemed to be distracted. For a moment Ren thought perhaps the girl was just another at the mall, and not part of the group.
May as well get some kind of enjoyment out of this, at least to match Georgia's. And with that thought in mind, she walked out of the dressing room and over to the window. Knocking lightly since they weren't all that far away. When they would look over, she'd pose. Turn around and pose again.
Nate was talking with Owen and his sister when from no where there was a spider Peach on him and a kiss to his lips. He smirked when she pulled back and he looked between Owen and his sibling. "Have you two met before?" His brow arched upwards slightly as he held up his back to Peach and grinned. "Got some good ones to use in your Geekdom corruption." He smirked then looked over to the tapping on the glass. He arched a brow hearing Owen and then looking to his sister.
"I'm taking who where?" He arched a brow considerably confused by that. But looking back to the woman in the bra and undies he gave her two thumbs up with a large smirk and a wink. "Sexy." he called out with a grin and turned back to the grouping. Nodding to Peach. "Yeah we will be here go buy your wares. Peach."

Well, she had been Miss Polite, but neither Owen, whom she thought wanted to be her friend, at least when Declan was around, nor his sister even blinked a lash in Georgia Grace’s direction. She was not normally one for public displays of affection, and never with her friends, like Nate was, but something had gotten into her. But she went with it. She turned back to Owen and his sister, at Nate’s words. “I know Owen, he, Declan and I have had a few…experiences at a art museum. “ Oh she wasn’t going to say anything mean, that wasn’t her style. “Bless their hearts.” She gave Nate’s arm a little squeeze, before that grin popped out again. “I don’t know if we can be friends, with you wanting to turn me into a Geek.” A impish little grin, which let him know that she was playing, he normally got her playful side.
And then the tapping on the glass, and Georgia Grace just started to laugh, before she clapped looking at Ren. Hearing Nate’s words she looked at him. “See I do have good taste.” And she gave a nod at his words and she slipped away, to go inside with Ren, as she slipped inside the store, she was laughing. “I told you it was worth it…didn’t I?” Really that was something Georgia Grace would of done, if she didn’t have to worry about pictures being snapped, and the headlines about Marie Michelle’s daughter running amuck while her mother was missing.
She turned her eyes to Ren. “Let’s pick out a few more things, and then its onto step two.” And she dipped her voice down. “And I think Nate and the others might be around…I offered Owen’s sister the option of helping pick out clothing, but bless her heart, she was to busy staring at Nate, then my back as I attacked Nate…to say anything.” She frowned, “But I’m worried about Owen…he was oddly silent.”
Even as she talked she walked away from the window, hoping Ren followed. “So…now to grab some more things…you need one lacy black set.” She nodded her head, even as she grabbed it up and tossed it at Ren. Georgia Grace had yet to steer her wrong right? And she wasn’t trying to get Ren into anything like a thong...everything would be covered.

"The more the merrier right?" She answered, seeing the clerks and their disapproving glances. Ren didn't care, she did it because she could. Collecting the other garments Georgia gave her she went back into the dressing room. There Georgia would get the full view of the tat on Ren's back. She tried on the other garments, opening the curtian just enough to get Georgia's opinion then she was dressed in her clothes once more.
When they went to the counter, Ren grabbed up Georgia's stuff too and put it with her's so it all went on her bill. She smiled. "The least I can do for your help."
Talking about games became a center stage topic, for men anyway. And the minute Georgia appeared in the back of Nate, did he forget she was there at all. A low gasp in surprise when he suddenly wobbled from her clinging on his dear ally. As if on cue, he also remembered Kailee was standing there. A bright smile to the woman, apologizing to her as he was in that little world that happened often, sometimes. Kailee followed the girls inside the shop leaving the guys to speak to themselves. Bouncy, cute and innocent his sister was selecting the clothes that Georgia invited her into. Then, she trailed up beside her giving a look that was like a guilty child after being punished to something she done, but she was far from being rude so met her hoping there was no problem between them.
"I'm very sorry for my bad behavior. I wasn't paying attention. It's just I got into town and I'm new here." Kailee said, hoping that Georgia can at least forgive her as once she gets excited, everything else is lost in the world, didn't think to mind her manners in the brink of any strangers. "My name is Kailee." As soon as she gets into a mall, her beacon rings high on load. Can you blame a girl from getting enthralled in the best large stores? Owen felt bad himself, understanding if Georgia was angry, it was his fault. He still wanted to be friends, he absolutely cared about her and that never has changed. Part of him realized how much he's missed her ever since she escaped from the Art Gallery. He didn't go in, but left Kailee to tail them seeing his beautiful sister over there make apologetic stares knowing that all will go well someday.
He canted his head to Nate, grinning. "I was going to ask you the exact same thing Nate. It would seem that you and Georgia has gotten acquainted." The question was in repeat to him, the small world song started going off in his head as the interface with the tackle proves they have gotten on friendlier ground. A glimpse of Ren caught in his eye through the window, he tapped in her direction waving. He mouthed, hello at her. Then, smirked expecting the ladies to walk out any minute now. "But, yeah, we have a little history." For a minute, he assumed her countenance has shifted quite a bit. Rather she was mean, he could take it. Owen was often the sponge to plenty of ventilating so it was quite understandable. The kiss on the lips also was a surprise.
Meanwhile, after Kailee bought some for her and a bit for Dakota Connors, knowing her tastes she even interjected she'll also assist in choosing the outfits. One good skill she has is tastes, leave her to choose what many overlooks. "I'll even be your consultant." Putting her half fists on her hips, big bright, colgate of a smile. Her face was so precious how could one pass up when she made that expression that Kailee was absolutely known for. Winning you over happens to be her best traits, if she fails, she'll plan with a new idea if one doesn't work.
Owen curled a smile, the pretty pretty princess aka Kailee was flamboyant, noting her cuteness and how she spoke with a sugar-like tone that makes it very hard to stay mad at her for too long. Never really knew too many who disliked the girl, she's even part of a Sorority in college as she had told him so on the phone at one time. Vice President too. It's no wonder she was voted in, nicknamed Skipper.
Nate turned to Peach as she spoke and nodded to her then as she and the other girl departed his gaze fell to owen as he asked about peach. "Merely friends Owen." He offered turning his gaze to the man and lowering his voice to almost silent. "She is a human and we all know shifter politics arent well suited for them. Not to mention, despite an enjoyment with Peach, I do have my eyes on another."
Well wasn't Nate the charmer. He and Peach had been over it many times, they had fun, they were friends, plain and simple. Nate eased back and looked into the store as the three girls mucked about within. Then he pulled out the games, Portal 2, Fable 3, CD Black Ops, he had the big sellers as his copies got lost somewhere in the shuffle. "I have kinect but I dont use it much." He said towards owen as they patiently spoke outside waiting for the womenfolk to hurry the hell up.
Oh! From how Georgia clung to him and how she kissed him, the young leopard was appalled. He was still learning so sue him if he start asking all kinds of inqueries that what he witnessed. A light shrug of his shoulders. Yes, she was basically human so it should be a good idea not to let on the telltale secret. His eyes side glanced at the werelion, nothing about the other lion he met up with never came up in any subject. He wondered if Nate met any like him or if there was a Pride in the area he knew nothing about. Not the best location to go about discussing any supernatural politics, besides that, his sister is one of those humans so that makes a whole lot of sense that they'll speak on things when they were in a distant range. "I know. When I saw her plant a kiss on your lips, that probably threw me off thinking you was an item." He explained wholeheartedly. As he looked at his friends and sister behind the window, figuring it was best to take a seat on the bench overyonder while he was still waiting on them. "I feel like one of those Sims." Owen said in amusement.
The seat near a few family members was taken, he took some lemon heads out of the bag and popped some in his mouth, suckling while watching an interracial lock and love cuddle each other. They was nuzzling, the man pinching her ass, the black woman biting and tugging his bottom lip speaking in tongues as if, love was a foreign language to them. Neither cared if the whole building looked at them. Some man shouted "Get a room! Would yah?!" The tattooed, Caucasian male stuck up his middle finger then they kissed so it'll emphasize how much public display of affection is often at times for a few people. A thin woman with a straw, southern belle looking hat, pulled a five year old girl with her. People was strewning about the store. The aroma of pretzels, ice cream, coffee, and other fragrances filled the air. There was a man with a bunch of CDs in a single case selling his wares. He saw the overseas fellow, thinking he probably will want one. Stopped in Nate's path, asking if he want a compact disc and told him the price, the qualities of being the salesperson.
At Ren’s response she felt her lips quirking into that grin, that was often found there, it was another one that didn’t quite reach the southern belles eyes. “Besides this way we have more people to bounce things off of.” Not that she was thinking of throwing things at people to see if things actually would bounce off but just ideas. Of course, a small bit of jealousy was on Georgia Grace at seeing Ren’s tattoo, because she loved them on others, and well couldn’t wait to get hers. Unlike the ladies working in the store, whom seemed to think differently about those with tattoo’s which was why Georgia Grace, couldn’t have any that would be visible in every day life. Reputations meant a lot to her family, and to those that were near and dear to her, let alone the cause.
When Owen’s little sister came into the store, Georgia Grace would indeed give the girl a smile. Really, when had she been known to not behave in such a fashion, it would have been out of character for her to hold a silly grudge. “It is nice to meet you Kailee, I’m Georgia Grace, and this is my friend Ren.” At which Georgia Grace’s right hand would lift and signal at Ren. Nor would she be upset with Owen, he was her friend, even if she escaped away from the guys out of the second floor bathroom window. That was a little bit to much for her that night.
When the younger girl said she would be the consultant, and shot them the look, Georgia Grace wanted to pat her on the top of her head, like she did with some of the youngsters that came out to the plantation, and ruffle her hair. But she wasn’t going to say anything, but she would give the girl a smile, because she figured what could it hurt. When Ren paid for Georgia Grace’s items she smiled over to Ren. “Are you sure?” Only because the girl wasn’t really used to people buying things for her, not just randomly, and that was happening with a bigger frequency, and she wasn’t sure how to take that. She then told her, softly, “Thank you.”
She would of started laughing if she had heard Owen’s question to Nate, no offence, but she would of. Nate was her friend, and that was what he would continue to be, unless they quit talking for some odd reason. Not that Georgia Grace gave up on people that easy, she was still trying to figure out the best way to be Jett’s friend, even though he was afraid he might harm her. She and Nate had been upfront about their friendship, what it entailed what it could not include, both for their own personal reasons which were not shared. And such a friendship might appall some people, but it worked for them, for now. She was 100% human, no anything else hidden in there, her bloodlines were old money never tainted, which was a huge thing for the girl to have to live up to. Especially in this day and age, where supernaturals were everywhere, as she had been told you couldn’t turn your head without spitting on one. Not that Georgia Grace would spit on someone, that wasn’t very southern belle behavior.
Once the items had all been purchased, she would get the girls together before slipping from the store. Georgia had the paper bag with the hard paper rolled up handles, in her right hand. The bag was pink, yes Ren was going to have to carry a pink bag, with the stores logo on the side, not the whole name just the logo. Tissue paper was puffed out on the top, for they had sprayed their newest fragrance on the tissue paper before wrapping each item separately and placing them in the bags. When the girls met up with the guys, there was no other shows of public affection, in fact one might wonder if Georgia Grace had really went all Spider Monkey on Nate in the first place.
“Hey Owen…are you guys in a rush? I thought that maybe Kailee would like to hit a couple of the clothing stores with us.” She turned that smile between the two siblings, and then she turned to Nate. “And seeing you are wanting to teach me that Xobx thing, you don’t mind doing a little clothes shopping do you?” Well if he did, they could meet up later, because she was not going to change her plans. And those plans were get Ren in some fun clothes, and pick up a few things for herself.
She waved to Owen's little sister, cute kid, then responded "Absolutely, your torture deserves some reward." To Georgia with a smile.
At last, out of the frilly place.
Ren wrinkled her nose. Whether it was from the disgust of being seen carrying such a fru-fru package, or the fact that the perfume sprayed on there was completely messing with her sense of smell. Both, probably. She itched her nose.
"Where to next boss?" She kept the smile on her face. Those brown eyes constantly scanning, her hearing, piecing out the different sounds of those around her. A little bit of a headache, but, her sense of smell was shot. What's a dhampir to do?
She itched her nose again, plastered on a pretty smile sans the fangs, and began to enjoy the shopping.
Nate turned to Owen and chuckled. "No just friends, I'm single." he chuckled loking to Peach through the window a moment then turning his gaze back to Owen to only have a man come and try to pedal his wares. Nate looked to him and offered a low warning growl Owen probably picked up but otherwise it was for the most part silent before he spoke. "I'm not interested. Keep walking."
Hues watched the man who had apparently missed the growl because he kept trying until Nate arched a brow and with a less than pleased look his eyes the man finally backed down and Nate turned back to Owen about to speak when the girls returned and Peach was saying hello's and then turning to him. "Clothes shopping.....sounds simply like to much fun." Ok that was laced with sarcasm but he would do it, made more sense than driving home then driving to her place. His eyes watched her a moment then looked back to Owen and crew. "Where ever." he said answering Rens question even though he wasn't said captiain but he would follow along anyway.
He snickered, the salesman was crumbling as Nate seemed agitated. His slapstick humor climax again as the poor fellow cringed. "Give the poor guy a break. He's selling." It was merely a joke. After reading a book for his book report once in high school called "Death of a salesman" their life was harsh. If there was one of the several career paths he never choose, it was a salesperson. Usually was someone who is irritable and annoying enough to take up a place in the hopes of chatting with random strangers. They get killed too quickly, it's a good thing for him, that his healing practices put him at center stage. Owen's humor was out there, but he was having fun for the most part. The girls fragrance drifted from inside the store to where he sat. The wait wasn't too bad. Owen looked down his baseball logo watch of the Orioles on it's face, the minute and hour hands slowly moved while the middle needle continued on it's rotation on the circular dial. Hearing the noises of the girls from a distance learning they were coming, thank god for that! He walked on the right side of Nate, his eyes turned to Nate when Georgia spoke of doing more clothes shopping. "I'm all for that. Sure." Nope, Owen didn't complain, these were the fairer sex and who better than a gentleman such as Dr. Connors himself.
He dropped his gaze on Ren, his nose continued to tickle for everytime they run into one another like this. The smell when she was close in range was peculiar. "Ren? Isn't it a swell surprise to see you of all people.."Droning off, then the punchline came as if unexpectedly. "Shopping!" Owen's skill at reading people was not at all amiss as he scrutinized the dhampir. The song "Girls Wanna Have Fun" was hummed on Kailee's lips, he shook his head knowing his sister was the girly girl type whose favorite colors was pink, purple, and indigo. She'd let you know if she really hates something or not, sugar coating as she is best known for, just as long none punches any red buttons you was fine. A twenty-three year old, five ft six, and a really nice figure to die for. One can see some of the curves of her breasts slightly peaking from her blue-green cotton dress, but she was all the more liking the exposure of her feminine pizzaz she calls it. Jem and the Holograms "Jem" music murmured from her phone. "Jem!" It kept singing. Picking up her Tinkerbell portable cellular phone, her verizon, a manicured thumb of her right hand clicked the talk button while she was hurrying to continue shop til you drop with the ladies. "Hey! Dakota! Our brother is here! In New Orleans! Thought I touch basis with you." One of Owen's sisters, Dakota Connors, splurged on Kailee's lips. Knowing Dakota and her club hopping. Grows too fast type of girl from Kailee's child-like, girly girl personality was never a dull moment.
Dakota drinks, she does, and probably is out with a cute guy, though, it was just as he thought in Owen's mind. Dad always told them about STDs and whatnot, rules are rules. Dakota's voice on the other end proved he was on the dotted line a little. Club, talking to the hottest looking guy of the century. Kailee heard her continue talking about the dude until finally Kailee checked her watch. "Look, Dakota, I'll see you later!" Clicking off button, she smiled sweetly for the interruption. "Sorry about that." No! Never a dull moment in the Connors family, his family, it's noticeable alright.
It’s a beautiful thing when one chooses Parkour as their designated fitness style. Not just because it’s more physically demanding than some mail-order insanity or an mma workout wannabe, but it sets a level of awareness that takes a lifetime to build up. Moreover, there are groups everywhere with no membership fees; the gym is anywhere you can run. Walls, stairs, railings, fire escapes, and even slow moving traffic become your workout equipment.
“Stop running!” Wheezing and puffing the lone security guard lagged behind the handful of people running down the central aisle, coughing into his radio.
Spring boarding over a bench between two shoppers, the oldest of them stopped and squared his shoulders just in time to act like a human balance beam for one of the others. Chin tucked down against his chest, not a move made until the other finished a handstand off the top of his head.
The pose held for all of a second before the kid is dropping and on his way again. Laughing, Artemus shook his head at the kid’s balls before trailing after the quartet straight up to the second level like monkeys. The front two falling to their knees with hands clasped, launching the third up to grab the lip just under the railing.
Right on his heels, Artemus leapt, latching on to his ankles in a human ladder, feeling the others begin to climb up his back. When the second guy passed his shoulders, he began to swing, just enough to get momentum to launch himself up, clear of the base man. Pivoting to reach down over the railing, he pulled the kid up with a huge grin. “Nice work, bra”
“Feelin tired yet old man?” The challenge clear on the kids brown features, he waited just long enough to smooth his dreadlocks back then was running again, sneakers squeaking as he ollied along the guardrail.
“I’ve been outpacing you kids all damn day!” Artemus called after before spotting Owen, Georgia and a very new acquaintance. “Hey, I’ll catch up in a bit!”Stretching he combed fingers through his blond curls, then started towards the other gathering.
Laughter as she looked over at Ren. “Torture?” Oh no, Georgia Grace was enjoying this for the most part, and she liked that Ren was actually, playful. Because she might of just shut down completely doing something she didn’t want to do. Well she wanted to but she wasn’t well, it wasn’t her bag.
Exactly, Nate wasn’t the boss! That happened to be Miss Georgia Grace! Ha! And so when Nate answered Ren, she turned to stick her tongue out at Nate, and a impish grin slipped over her features. “Your not the boss, I am.” Even as she was talking she started to laugh, because it was rather highly amusing.
Glancing to Owen and his sister after the phone call she smiled. “It’s okay.”
And then they had Art, she had met him, once coming towards them. But he didn’t look like he was the sort for girl clothes shopping. But he might be, so she would look thoughtful of the next store before waving to him, it had been so long ago, she had met him and briefly, if she recalled it was when she was brand spanking new into town, and there was one of those…silly fights on the tv.
Ren watched Owen and his sister thoughtfully for a moment, sometimes, she was glad she was an only child. Other times, not so much.
Nate managed to get a chuckle out of her, and Georgia Grace sticking her tongue out at him had her laughing.
"Wait til you see me at Christmas, this whiny bitching ain't nothing yet." She grinned.
Though at the site of Artemus approaching, Ren stiffened minutely. Ren knew even in a town this size, chances of running into him again were better than not. She assumed this time he used the front door. She plastered on a very average all american smile at his approach.
Nate grinned in such a way when she stuck her tongue out at him. His eyes however turned towards Ren and he chuckled softly when she spoke of Christmas and how much fun she would be. His eyes looked about then back towards Owen and his sister, he must have missed what happened cause he seemed confused a moment but made no mention of why. His eyes easing from one to the other before he shifted his hand sin his pockets ready to be dragged all over the mall, his favorite place....
He smelt him, his nose dipping towards a more powerful odor than the others surrounding him. Owen knew from crossing paths with Art that he was a new leopard. Neither has been properly introduced yet. As for rather he was one of the members of the local pard was unidentified, but happy to have some more people join in the fray much as they like he didn't really care. Shopping wasn't one of his interests, but for the ladies he was making it his last resort. His shields lowered just a bit, leaving that energy to meet Art just when he came to meet up with the group.
His beige feline rested lazily near a branch, giving off a scent of fresh rainfall and the tropical aroma of the moist rainforest. It filled the room to those sensitive to the fragrance. As for the wait, he was anxious to get this ball rolling. "Greetings." That was directed to Artemus, his beast's head raised just slightly as if hearing noises in the far distance. "We were just heading to go clothes shopping with the girls." Filling him in soon as he reached them. An option was thrown out there in case he wanted to jump in or not.
Nate turned his gaze towards the group as the clammered and made way from the huffing guard chasing them. He smirked lightly until he felt the other shifter that wasn't Owen. His eyes narrowed on the source of the power and his gaze followed him. Not in the predatory sense. he kept his shields on lock down save that little tinge of power he let creep out. His eyes followed and he offered a nod as he commented on possibly coming back. Nate wanted to call out a warning of get out while the getting is good or you'll be in the shoe section for four hours. But the shifter was scampering off. Nates beast was once again contained much to his dismay behind those shields and merely peeked out at the others with a mild interest.
Brooklyn had come to Lakeside Shopping Mall with Theo and Magdalene, who had been giving her fashion tips to update her wardrobe, and it had gone well. After a trip to Fredericks of Hollywood, her wardrobe consisted of two corsets, a dress, a jacket, some black and white polka dot platform shoes, and the thigh high stockings that Mags recommended. Brooke had left Mags in Victoria's Secret after Theo and Frank had joined them there, and it looked like Theo and Magdalene needed couple time.
She had gone to Sephora for some eyeshadow, and some Harajuku Lovers Baby Cologne, and then to Hot Topic, where she had stocked up on some cute nose rings, because she had a septum piercing. She also picked up a Hello Kitty "I love Nerds" T-Shirt along the way, and had just exited the store when she smelled the strong scent of shifter. There was like a group of them walking in the mall, and she kind of blended in, rather curiously.
Loaded down with bags, the redhead in 5in high cork wedge platform shoes was a looming 5'11" when she approached the group. Her cherry glossed lips curved into a smile. "Hallo, everyone. I'm Brooklyn Dechanel. Who might you be?" she said to the closest ones. There was approximately 3 men and 2 women as far as the were-rat could tell. One had a human signature, the other woman did not. It was a odd signal she got from Ren. Dead? Not dead?
The rest of them were cats of all varieties, from lion to leopard. Great. She was in fine company as far as being a rat. Her pert nose wiggled nervously, would they want her there to join in on all of the fun? Her willowy form, held onto the various shopping bags because she had no car to go to where she could put them down. Plus she wasn't finished shopping yet. She needed new kicks. They had a Vans store here, and Mags wasn't around to stop her. Ha. ha.
One thing to take pride in what you are, it's entirely another to walk around like a rolling thundercloud of power saying 'Look at me! RAWR I has powah!'. Artemust kept his beast under a tight lock and key when out in public, not even a whiff of what lay beneath his skin. His own beast being larger than other leopards, but only smaller in muscle mass than the average jaguar by a mere twenty pounds made playing nice with his own kind difficult at times. To the younger Kurgen the walking turbine display just came off as obnoxious and entirely unneeded. Eyes of the brightest shade of emerald take in the group with a pleasant enough smile gracing his lips as greetings are passed.
"Shopping huh? Let me know when you get to the bathing suits and bikinis. That's my favorite part.." the statement made like a true hetero male. Though his gaze lingered on the male beside Owen for all of a second longer than the rest in an appraising manner. Then the redhead began her approach, the platforms got a dubious grin. "You look like you could use a hand Brooklyn..." polite as ever he offered to hold a few of her bags, clearly not all of them! "And I'm Artemus..." having been in New Orleans long enough he picked up that friggin accent. The 'a' getting elongated and the 'e' shortened more than ever.
"The gentleman to my left here is Owen" Motiions to the male giving off a leopard scent. "The lovely blond here, is Georgia" Faintly recalling her name form their brief encounter about a month ago. The man had one hell of a memory at times. "I'm afraid I don't know these other two, or I'd makde the proper intros." Though he cast a smirk at Ren that seemed oh so secretive.
"Bonjour, Artemus, Owen and Georgia!" said Brooklyn with her French-Canadian accent. She was wearing the new cork wedge platform shoes, red tied with two straps at the ankle, courtesy of Magdalene's generosity. "If you want to carry them, I suppose?" she said with a quirk of her lips, which formed a whimsical smile. Artemus gave her a skeptical look thinking perhaps she could not walk in those damned shoes, but she had mastered the art of walking on tiptoe, like Mags had told her to pretend she was doing.
Handing her shopping bags over to Artemus, except the Victoria's Secret's bag, which was a secret of course. One that didn't need to be revealed by the rather shy were-rat. She wasn't shielded, so the aroma of caramel corn would wrap itself around Artemus and Owen, and Georgia who would wonder what that delicious aroma was, and probably look all over the damned mall in an attempt to find the source of it. Brooklyn smiled a cherry ice cream smile as she walked along with the others. Having heard Artemus mention bikinis and bathing suits, she was reminded of the rodere's pool.
"I should get a new bikini, because where I live there is a pool and mine is too small." She had gotten curvy, and it suited Brooklyn just fine. Maybe Coastal Edge still had some on clearance, since summer was over? She would have to poke her head in there to look see. For now, she got to know the one holding her purchases for her. He was kind of cute. "SO..Artemus, what do you do here in New Orleans? I am a lead singer of a girl band, called Broken Monday. We are just getting better venues than Phil's Grill. We played at Club Ampersand the other night. Too bad you missed our show." said the pretty redheaded were-rat.
'Artemus, huh? Everyone knows this fucker?' she thought. Ren smiled to the redhead politely before a curt nod at Artemus. "Yogi."
Her previous merryment was gone, before she mentally shook it off and smiled. To Georgia Grace she said "I think I need a good pair of shades...and a new lock..et. Locket."
They'd only just begun their shopping trip, and already she thought she was in over her head. Her idea of shopping for clothes was WalMart, cargos, camos, tanks, tee's....which was her dilema and why she was here. She placed herself in Georgia's capable hands, she hadn't planned it a group event. But hey, meet and greet right?

"Nate Reynolds" he chimmed in when Art was giving introductions. His lion was kept for the most part under wraps, peeking out just slightly to the others. Nate himself looked from cat to cat to rat to human to confusing dead not dead thing. And about that time his phone rang and he moved out of the line of conversation to take it. Looking towards Peach he held the phone down a moment and grinned. "Gotta take this, I'll call ya when Im done and meet up with you." he offered and slipped from the group to take the call.
Owen popped another lemon head in his mouth, followed by one of those blue colored heads tasting like blue raspberry. The shade of his pink tongue turned a dark blue from eating the candies from inside the plastic bag. He heard Art's name remembering the name when they was introduced the first time. A little embarrassed to remind himself, not really the spot to go releasing too much of that sweet, arousing power all over the place or someone outside of their circle may notice! In a flash, he locked everything up nice and tight with his shields, but took a whiff of Brooklyn's scent allowing the information to be recorded to data in case a deja vu sequence may replay itself in the future. He did swear he's seen the rodent a few times, just never got a chance to formerly introduce one another up until now.
A humble, nonchalant tone escaped his lips even as Artemus opened introduction between them. He was not, if ever, lack any respect for anyone no matter who or what was in front of him. "It's a pleasure Brooklyn." He gave a tender smile at the rat, his hazel pools looking her over during Artemus's sweet self to handle all of the baggage for her meant there was a side to his fellow leopard for the females aye? As for the bikini's and swimsuits, he could not help but have such idea peek his interests. "This here is Nathaniel, the lady here is Ren." He gestered to his allies he met a few times in the past.
There was an invisible halo resting on top of the Physician's head at this very moment for each time he laid eyes on the peculiar smelling female who didn't at all look like someone that went around stores. He was moving right alongside Nate and the others who was going to do more clothes shopping. For his choices, he choose Old Navy, Big & Tall, and Gap as his button down shirt and jeans suggests they were purchased at those three locations. Owen saw a hispanic male come out of an electronic store running through some people a few distance away but paid no heed to the incident as the whole commotion generally happen all the time. He kept his gaze on the women, his young sister felt left out, he forgot she was standing right there of all things! "Oh! Right! This is my baby sister, Kailee." His twenty-three year old, bubbly sibling finally sparkled as her big brother managed to include her in with the others centered around them. She was just glad to join the girls on their choice of garments. "It's so nice meeting you two." Filling the air with her fun-loving words of cheerfulness. Good to get that out of the way hmm? Now everyone was here to enjoy their day.

Brooklyn sensed some kind of tension between one of the women and Artemus, but she didn't ask questions about it. She had been talking to him, but he hadn't answered back. Well, that was rather peculiar. She returned Ren's greeting with a "Hallo, I'm Brooklyn." since she didn't have a name to go by, Brooke basically was all ears when it came to Owen's greeting and courtesy intros.
"Hallo Nathaniel," she said to the man, she'd been introduced to by Owen. So the woman's name was Ren. Now she had a name to go by. "Nice to meet you both, this is cool!" said Brooklyn who was quite pleased to meet other lycans, and some that weren't quite there, human or otherwise.
"Hallo Owen. Baby sister, wow!" The girl she had been introduced to was approximately the same age as her, the only difference was probably the date. "Nice to meet you both." Maybe they would run into Mags and Theo somewhere, when it was time for her to go home. Until then, she window shopped and traveled with the motley crew of shoppers at the mall.

Ren wasn’t the only only child there. Georgia Grace had no brother’s or sister’s and at times she really wanted that companionship of a sibling but most of the time she wouldn’t of wanted a sibling to be raised as she had. It wasn’t a selfish thought. Of course, she would stick her tongue out at Nate, he was trying to take her role! He needed to know his role, not hers, even if occasionally his past made an appearance.
Georgia Grace was laughing at Ren. “Am I going to have to drag you out kicking and screaming?” A impish little grin forming before her lips curved into a most happy of smiles. “Christmas isn’t my favorite holiday, but I do love the shopping.” She wondered how that would be this year though, if her ma would be back, if they would have a family Christmas or if it would be her first without her. Every year no matter where Georgia Grace was she came home for Christmas, to New Orleans, at her ma’s place that she used as headquarters. It was a picture perfect holiday.
As for seeing Ren stiffen, she turned to see whom was coming near, the man looked familiar, but that didn’t mean anything, because her memory wasn’t always the best. A small niggling in the back of her mind as if she had met him at some point of time.
Nate would love being pushed and pulled all over the mall, it was the thing to have done, wasn’t it? It was a special kind of torture, but he was going to be able to try to geek up Georgia Grace later on. You know, with the xbox learning!
They had not yet even made Nate go into a store and if he would of spoke up in such a way, she might have had to go to the shoe section for four hours to find the best pair of shots/boots/foot wear to kick him hard in the shin with! Preferably something steel toed and super pointy, she didn’t want to hurt herself when kicking the man.
Georgia Grace was on the short side, she was a full 5’2”, and she wasn’t suffering from any sort of complex of being short. And when Brooklyn came over to introduce herself her lips parted to speak, but then that man that she had a niggling memory of in the back of her mind, introduced her. And because she was Georgia Grace, she spoke up, right after Art introduced her. “Grace. Georgia Grace.“ She was very particular about her name. Even if her hair wasn’t exactly blonde, I mean it could be, if she went to the hair stylist while they were in the mall? She turned a pretty little smile towards Brooklyn. “Nice to meet you, Brooklyn.” And the words were said with her normal honey quality to the slight southern draw that colored her words. She would give a small nod towards Ren. “This is Ren.” Because the others had introduced themselves.
Who didn’t like the smell of caramel corn? Really? But then she heard them speaking of swimming suits, which wasn’t something she was ever against, but that wasn’t going to help Ren with what she needed to get. And she looked over to Ren, because she had a strange feeling of something, like any human could slightly read a situation, and her hand slipped out to grab Ren’s and a squeeze was given. No questions out of the petite lil Georgia Grace though.
It was at that time that Nate said he had to take the call, a simple nod of her head as he spoke. “I’ll save the shoe shopping for you Nate.” A grin slipped over her features, it was a good thing she couldn’t of read minds earlier right? He just looked like he liked shoes.
She turned to shoot Ren a secret little smile, before the hand that had latched onto Ren’s began to tug her friend along. “So much work and so little time.” As they were moving they came across a store that had clothing that looked to be used for clubbing in the window, and she would flash the other’s a warm smile. “Ren and I need to go into this store…..if y’all don’t want to we can catch up if y’all want to move on, I reckon.”
Intro's were made, teasing was had, but she was leary. Watching that feline, though she didn't know that was what he was because he was an SOB like that. She was alright with that. For now. She felt the tide of change coming. It was slightly distracting.
When Georgia Grace squeezed her hand she gave a soft smile...When Georgia Grace grabbed her and started toting her like a marlin, she yipped and laughed. "What she said!" She'd call out to the others.
Idlly she wondered how far the closest bar was from the mall.
Brooklyn's bags in hand, he shook his head at the antices of Georgia and Ren, whom he now had a name to match the face. Nathaniel is given a nod in greeting, but Artemus made notes to watch that one more on the predefined notions of what he knew about lions. Very territorial creatures as far as he knew from past observations. Worse than tigers when it came to pissing contests, and everything became a pissing contest. But when you're the largest of the breeds, everything is insignificant, right?
A long moment taken to consider how to best answer the redhead's question about what he does. "Well Brooklyn...I'm a transient myself. Haven't been here more than two or three months. Just debating whether to actually start my own biz or just take what money I have and invest it in something like a new music label."
He kept shifting his gaze between his conversation with Brooklyn and the others, filing away Owen's family tree since it seemed important. Course his fellow leopard kept setting off his gaydar, and Artemus wasn't sure where those vibes were getting directed, really hoped it wasn't at himself. That could make things extremely awkward. About to continue further he saw the kid sprint out of one of the stores, a security guard on his ass.
Without a word to Ren, Georgia Grace, Brooklyn, or the others he dropped the bags in his hands and took off like a bullet. Well not quite that fast, he didn't want to broadcast what he was, still fast though...like an Olympic runnier. Passing the guard, he wove a path around scrambling shoppers. Why intervene? That wasn't something he was thinking of at the time. His mind was on the simple fact that retail crime is the damn reason things are so expensive! He didn't want to pay more for something than he had to because some broke ass moron got desperate. Barely breathing hard he got beside the would=be theif. "Drop the merchandise or I drop you through a display window...." Options. Always give them options.
He left the girls, letting them know he was heading into the clothes store. "Let me know when you girls are done. I'm going to browse the electronics." Quite informative wasn't he? Owen kept all communications opened, made it easier so that the buddy system they formed can stick together. Isn't that what his old school once done? One should not leave their posse behind as the saying does go. He listened to the beat of a Michael Jackson's song "Thriller" it's pulsating beat echoed throughout the Mall and he had just stepped in without his sister tailing him, she went to a store that sold all kinds of perfumes, colognes, and other fragrances. He kept a close eye on her, just in case. Humans were fragile creatures, so the idea was their liable to get kidnapped, killed, lots of possibilities were thrown out there. Then again, being just a young cub meant he should be extremely careful not to get overly complacent. Televisions was on a Warner Bros network station. A sitcom of that's 70's show was showing, probably some rerun no doubt. Seen it all before.
Owen walked over to an aisle with some rock and roll CDs. One of those headphones sat alone on it's hook, walking over, he selected a CD then picked up the phones listening to most of the lyrics of good ol' Elton John. Moving his head to the beat, he noticed Artemus darting off so fast, there wasn't much time to find out what he was up to. Blinking, he placed the phones back where he got them, pursuing his fellow feline where the man was ...frightened? Sniff, sniff...smelt like it. The doctor did not enter into the den, nor was he getting involved as this was between Art and the dude with the items. He watched with curiosity, wondering what the fuss was all about. Not to worry, he wasn't dumb enough to move across the line so he was out of harm's way. No stupid moves here. A large float in the distance was a Tinker Bell inflated balloon.
This must have been what his sister told him about. "The Tinker Bell Festival!" Kailee squealed. She ran straight out the store, watching the event as people gathered, someone dressing up as the Never Land fairy waved, she announced herself. "Hello everyone! I'm Tinker Bell! And this is my festival." The fairy-costumed person made her voice sound like the actual character. Wasn't she good? The glitter around her body made her appear to the audience as if, she was actually glittering. "Do you believe in faeries?" She said to anyone in particular. Owen watched, the man Art had apprehended seem to have dug a deep hole for himself, stealing was an offense wasn't it? No good deed goes unpunished, or is it, no misdeeds? Ah, what the heck? His gaze fell on the faerie merchandise all scattered around the table for people to purchase goods. VCR cassettes, bracelets, t-shirts, writing utensils to pins.

With one hand she waved to Owen as he headed into the other store, no trouble hearing what he said...and pretty much the same time she caught sight of Artemus chasing down the little punk. 'Virtually the same thing.' she thought to herself.
Once inside the store, she picked up the first black shirt she seen. "What about this?" It was black, Ren liked black...black was good. Right?
She thought so.
She held the garment up to her chest for Georiga's insepction.
