Over the course of her 103 years, Briar Lindquist has haunted New Orleans on and off.  She finds the city achingly poetic, and believes that the best obsessions, addictions and compulsions can be found here.  It's what drew her back to New Orleans four years ago, and less than a year later she opened a private practice.  Her unique specialties and talents have fueled a very positive word of mouth, and she is currently accepting new patients.


Building Front.  Briar's office is located on St. Charles street in the garden district.  A marker in the yard reads, "Dr. Briar Lindquist, Licensed Psychologist and Hypnotherapist."  The sign also includes the address of the office as well as the phone number to schedule an appointment.


The Waiting Room.  Briar keeps only one receptionist, who is there from 12pm to 8pm.  His name is Thomas Johannasen, and he schedules all of Briar's appointments.  (Feel free to NPC an interaction with Thomas in order to get on Briar's calendar!  All you need to know about him is that he is a very dry, feeble, but meticulous personality who always sounds like he just woke up from a too deep sleep.) 

Briar typically sees clients only from the hours of 4pm to 9pm, though she will see specialized cases later in the evening.  Test patients for her various paranormal studies are always seen after hours.  Usually they are local university students, but sometimes she will approach a client about taking part in one of her studies if she believes it would be advantageous. 


Her Private Office.  She does not see patients here, and every drawer in this office is locked.  Only those who know her personally ever set foot inside this office.  Even Thomas must ring her for permission before entering.  Behind a bookshelf that is not seen in this photo, there is a secret room without windows, lit only by two oil lanterns on either side of the concealed doorway.


Her Practicing Office.  Any patient that makes an appointment with Briar is seen in this room.  On the walls that aren't seen in this photo there are more book cases, filled to the brim with books on psychology or the paranormal, as well as other strange trinkets and parapsychological tools.  While she never prescribes medication (she's only a psychologist) that doesn't stop her from prescribing the use of crystals, pendulums, or other objects.
