Steno Notepad - A Pad for Taking Notes (LLIDYA CHAPMAN)

Llidya had purchased the notebook months ago, and she decided to put some use to it, so she started writing about what she knew about. Her, to begin with.

100 Facts about me, or maybe more:

1. Jazz is my favorite genre, hands down. Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong, best duet of all time. Now Ella did a few good bops with Duke Ellington, but the mix of her voice with Satchmo, nothing can beat that. Under a Blanket of Blue is one of my favorites, but I'll listen to anything by them.

2. AC/DC is the number one band of allllll time. Top five songs:
    5. Decibel
    4. Meltdown
    3. House of Jazz
    2. Back In Black
    1. Shook me All Night Long
Ok so I know all of those, as you may notice, were sung by Brian Johnson. I happen to like Brian Johnson better than Bon Scott. He had some good songs, Highway to Hell, Thunderstruck...but Brian Johnson made Back in Black. Come on, how can you argue with that?

3. Tchaikovsky can write a waltz like no one's business. But though I do love the Nutcracker, Beethoven has the most heart rendering music I've ever heard, and that he never could. Think about that.

4. I hate my hair ninety-nine percent of the time. It has been the bane of my existence since I had to deal with it myself at the age of twelve. Aryca spent all her allowance on hair management, I had better things to buy, like a carburator for the '68 Chevelle. I think it's one of the reasons I loved being in the Navy. I shaved my head for four glorious years. The other one percent of the time that I love my hair, is happening now. It's sporadic, and the time is short, but I love the way Ash loves my hair. That one percent of the time, I like my hair.

5. A few years ago, I would do a younger Richard Dreyfuss. Not the old Richard Dreyfuss, but a younger Richard Dreyfuss, like from the movie Jaws. He was damn good looking in Jaws, and his character was smart. But now...

6. All of the jeans I have I buy exclusively from a man in New York. They look like regular old levis, but I can't buy jeans that fit me in any store, so, since I turned eighteen and before I went into the military, I had my legs measured and had jeans made.

7. I don't have a favorite movie. Not yet. I manage to see quite a few, but I don't have a favorite. I don't even think I have a favorite type of movie. I think it's because you should see them with people, and I do.

8. I know lots of little random, useless tidbits. A little bit about everything. Hell, some of the stuff I know probably isn't even true, but I think it's true, and it sounds good. The important stuff I know is true. But as for the origin of the the word tea in the English language? I think what I know about that is true...

9. I've never heard the song 'Black is the Color of My True Love's Hair,' but it's very appropriate.

10. I'm jealous of Aryca. She's married and probably expecting a kid by now. Holy crap, I don't know what I'd do if she had a kid. Or kids. Twins run in the family. That's number eleven. Twins run in the family, usually boy-girl or girl-girl.

11. Twins, see above. I looked into the history of the family all the way back to Ireland, and haven't found any recollection or mention of a set of boy-boy twins. Interesting, right?

12. I don't like thinking about Aryca. Not because I don't love her or anything, but mostly because I'm jealous. And she's so mean in her...telling the truth. She doesn't sugar coat it at all, not even with a joke, or a smile or nothing. Just BAM, there. It hurts a lot to think about her, as she usually points out everything I'm doing or have done wrong. But...well, even though I had Dina and Connor, she's the one that raised Dina after I left. Maybe I took the fun out of her because she had to step up and be a mom? Shit, I never thought about that...
