~*~It was time to search for a job now that she re-established her living situation in New Orleans. With a point upon the Yellow Pages application on her iPhone, she searched for local tattoo shops. Since she was slightly new to the city, she had to learn to adapt. To adapt, she had to either walk to work, ride a bike, or take a cab. Walking or riding a bike seemed like the perfect way to go, not that money was an issue, but it was great exercise. Skin Deep was the first business on the list. She pointed on the number, and let the other end ring until someone picked up. She could hear loud music and the needles buzzing lullaby in the background. Perfect music to her ears.~*~
"Hello! My name is Vesta St. Noir, and I was wondering if y'all are hiring any tattoo artists? I don't want to sound conceited or anything, but I have been featured in magazines such as Inked and Bizarre, appearing on their covers. And I've also won many trophies at tattoo conventions, and was named best tattoo artist in the south...?"
~*~Honestly, she didn't want to sound conceited, but if she mentioned her qualities and accomplishments, she figured it could up her chances on getting hired.~*~
Yeah it was kind of rehersed but honestly? He was tired and that was the easiest thing to say. He listened to the woman rattle off her name, information, and qualifications before he could really get another word in. When she paused to take a breath, he took his chance.
"That's awesome and all, but you'd still need to come by for an interview." Theo smiled a little, rubbing his neck. He wasn't the kind of guy to hire people over the phone. "When are you available?"
~*~Never did Vesta expect to get hired over the phone, but she thought listing her qualifications briefly would get their attention and consider a position, even if they weren't hiring at the time. She paused, taking a breath and allowed the man to speak. A small laughter vibrated from her slender throat.~*~
"I'm sorry. I get carried away sometimes. But yes, I would love to come in for an interview. Would tomorrow at noon be okay for you? And who am I speaking to?"
~*~When Theo provided his name and agreed to the time, Vesta scribbled it down in her planner. Yes, she had a planner, and probably one of the few people in the world to still have one that was not electronic. Yeah, she's old school like that.~*~
"Thank you very much Theo and I shall see you tomorrow!"
~*~As she hung up the phone, a smile creased her full, lush swells. Finally, an interview, and hopefully a job!~*~
