Well after the night with the meeting with Geller, Jenna and Owen Cadence was offer to move in with Geller so she jumped at the chance letting him give her a ride to the apartment to grab her stuff that she hand unpacked packing it back up before carrying the boxes back out to the moving trunk to follow Geller and Jenna to there ware house. Pulling up as she parked the trunk with her stuff in it before jumping out as she waited for Geller to show her around and well to show her what room was free to take.
So waiting there as she was let her piercing blue glance around the area . Before waiting for Geller to make his way into the house since she didn't want to rush right in but also there were different scents that linger around the area which tickled her nose. Brush pink, green and black strands of hair from her face . Letting herself bounce on her toes some being excited to meet new people .
+The place was technically on the border of the French Quarter, but just a hop skip and a jump from the Garden District. It was a blending point between the party streets, the old wealth, and all that was in between. The street was quiet but lush with sprawling moss covered oak trees. Just down a ways from the address he gave them was a restaurant and bar that locals adored called Port O'Call, and the atmosphere was still jovial but frequented by locals more than tourists which made it also more sedate. The building was old world architecture that had obviously been renovated after Katrina, though much of the original brick edifice was the same. It rose three stories up and took up the corner of the block with a white stone stoop that rose up from the street to the oversized oak wood front door. On that front door was a bronze plaque that had the words 'Psych Ward' on it. +
+ The front door opened into an airy main living room and dining room, with double french doors of stained glass that led into the gigantic kitchen and breakfast area that was his current pride and joy. In every room there were things he could point out neat little additions including loft spaces, secret passages, built ins, buttresses, and other odds and ends that he found fascinating about the place. There were plenty of rooms and even a rooftop area and a garden out back that connected the main house to a smaller renovated garage and apartment. As Geller led Cadence and Jenna into the house he was trying to explain to her about who lived there.+
"Alright well....Venus and her fiancee Vincent are here but Venus is still pretty out of it so she has a nurse here taking care of her. You may not see the two V's but you might see Angie running around. She's a little blonde nurse type. She's human I guess but she works at the lycan hospital so she isn't too concerned about all the crazy stuff that goes on around here. Nike is a vampire, she lives in the garden house out back with her minion James. He's cranky but don't let it bother you. I think it's just cause he's old."
+Closing and locking the front door behind them he carried some of her things in his arms as he led her towards the kitchen first. Setting down what he was carrying he found some of his trusty Post-Its in one of the drawers and scrawled a quick note which he stuck to the fridge. It said 'New Roommate, say hi to Cadence'. The others were used to Post-It communication and would most likely guess who Cadence was by her being the only new person in the mix. Picking up Cadence's things again he nodded to the girl.+
"Head on up and pick a room. You should be able to smell which one's are still empty."
+As Cadence headed upstairs he and Jenna followed and he damn near dropped the boxes he was carrying trying to be sneaky about copping a feel of the tigress's completely irresistible backside as they walked upstairs.+
"Then there's Dee, she's ex-military and one of us. So basically if you want something shot she's your girl. Trent, also one of us, is the resident comic book guru. Maya, another wolf, should be around somewhere. She cusses like a grizzled old trucker but don't let it bother you. My cousin Zoe is another human, she's kind of healing up as well so I am not sure when you'll get to meet her."
+Geller had been in to see Zoe a few times but apparently she was still recuperating from her recent incident. Following Cadence into whichever room she chose he set the boxes and other things down on the bed.+
"The guys from work stop in a lot but none of them live here. So I guess that's everyone." +Moving closer to Jenna he put an arm around her and surveyed the room.+ "We've got some extra sheets and towels and stuff if you need them until you have a chance to get stuff of your own. And...you know....just make yourself at home."
-Maya had been trying to find Nike and James in their converted apartment above the garage. She went there a lot looking for the two of them, but apparently they were busy with vampire business or something like that. Muuuuuuch more important no doubt than keeping her company. Butt heads. She left another hot pink Post-It on top of the others so Nike would know when she returned just how many times Maya had stopped by. Her door looked like a damn flappers dress by now with all the pink Post-Its hanging on it.-
"Can't stay away forever fang face."
-Her diminutive hand touched the door as she stuck on the note and then turned to go back in the house. She crossed the courtyard garden and must have just missed Geller and the others in the kitchen. Totally not paying attention to smells she had food on her mind. From the fruit bowl on the counter she grabbed an apple, washed it, and then leaned against the kitchen island to eat it. Elbows were pressed into the counter as she crunched at her apple and stared boredly at the quiet kitchen. Then, like magic, she suddenly noticed the new Post-It.-
"New room mate eh? We'll see about that."
-Leaving the note on the fridge for the others the tiny blonde headed off to find the new girl and whoever else was with her. Apple still in one hand she climbed up the stairs with a skip in her step and walked in as Geller was finishing his rambling. Popping into the room like a bright blonde ray of sunshine she looked from Geller to Jenna to Cadence and grinned mischeiviously.-
"Heya! You must be Cadence. I'm Maya." -See! And she hadn't cussed once. Moving past Cadence she looked at the stuff the girl had brought in with her.- "You got more stuff to bring in? I could help." -Yeesh! She must really be bored lately to be this docile and helpful.-
Jenna was carrying a couple of things for Cadence, and doing a decent job of avoiding the butt grabs, but once in a while Geller got a handful of the delicious backside, causing a stifled squeal, a toss of the blonde head and a lick of lips to try and quickly compose.
Jenna had actually not seen much of the house herself, save Geller's bedroom and the bathroom, so it was an informative tour. Making it up the stairs, she deposited what she was carrying, then swept her hair behind one ear.
"I'll get the linens and towels for you, Cadence, and if you find you need anything at all, you've only to ask..."
She nosed about until she found the linen closet, selected bed linens, a few towels and wash cloths, then strolled back in. Removing the items on the bed, a slender hand smoothed over the sheet as she placed it meticulously on the mattress. Bed made, towels placed where they were easily accessible to Cadence, Jenna was back at Geller's side, sliding arm around his waist, so the pair were interlaced.
It was then the tingling energy of the little blonde invaded. Maya's entering the room was like lighting up a roman candle; gave you the ooo, ahhh effect. Jenna's mouth began to uptilt into a smile.
"Good to see you, Maya." It had been sometime since the pair spoke. Jenna made a mental note to make that happen. Soon. Unconsciously stroking her fingers against Geller's ribs through his shirt, she watched Cadence and Maya. It was good to see. Everybody needed family. She felt a well of emotions bursting inside her heart. She was starting to get used to that sensation now.
Feeling the warmth of his side lined up with hers, she could feel his heart beating next to hers. Steady, strong, abiding. It was good to be home.
Cadence would raise a brow at the plate on the door. Thinking interesting place to make into a home. But she wouldn't say a thing about it since this is her new home now. So listening to Geller as he when down the listen of people that lived within the house hold making sure she try to remember the names as she would whisper them after him telling her. While also looking around the different rooms within being given a tour of the house.
Making her way through the kitchen with the few boxes she had gotten to carry in were still held onto. Once in a while she would jump when Jenna squeal from Geller goosing her. Before calming herself down. Picking a room was easy since making her way in as she place the boxes next to the door to line them up. So once everything was brought in that was needed she could start placing things away.
So her nose twitched some as she smelled another wolf before seeing her pop into the room. A smile grace her lips as she gave a small wave. Before watching Jenna exit the room to go get bed sheets, towels etc for her. Before speaking up to Maya. " Yes there more stuff in the rental truck ..." Before looking toward Geller...before speaking again. " What can I do with my furniture, like my couch, sofa etc. Is there any place I can store it until I can get a storage unit for it ? " Once Geller answer her question she would make her way toward the door to go back down to grab some more boxes.
-Trent had been on his way back to the house already when Maya texted him and hurried his pace to get there and find out what was going on. In the back of his head he wondered where Thing 1 was. He hadn't seen the other red headed wolf since the night Zoe was rescued and a little embarassingly he'd found his thoughts on her more and more. Pushing that aside he opened the door to the house and went inside. At once he could smell those inside the house and went in search of them.-
-Jenna, Geller, and Maya's scents he recognized and when he walked through the door the tiny blonde flew at him so abruptly that her hug knocked him on his ass. Tumbling over like a muppet he crashed to the floor with Maya hugging him and he was laughing helplessly. Something was being said about a new room mate and as Maya got off of him he gave Cadence a little wave then tried to get up off the ground. While Maya and Cadence went to go bring in more things he smiled distantly, shyly, at Jenna who had some sheets in her hands.-
"I can help you make the bed if you want?"
-He didn't know Jenna well. Knew that she was staying at the house a lot and that she and Geller were together but not much past that. Offering a hand to take the fitted sheets and help unfold them to go on the bed he smiled at the tiger and the smile reached the moss green of his eyes that were lined in a thick layer of black kohl.-
+The feel of Jenna's hand grazing against his ribs made him completely lose track for a moment of what was happening in the room. His eyelids had lowered and he'd let himself lean into her more just enjoying her warmth and the scent of her skin. When Maya appeared it was like she'd just poofed into existence out of nowhere and he almost had to shake himself to get out of the hazy happy reverie of his head. Leaning down he nipped lightly near Jenna's ear letting her hear the sound of his teeth clicking together.+
"You my love are a terrible distraction."
+Clearly though it was a distraction he didn't mind. Or so it would appear based on the giant grin he was wearing on those wide set lips and the sparkle of life in his silver whorled black eyes. As Maya and Trent greeted one another he chuckled and kissed Jenna's cheek lightly.+
"I'll help you girls with the furniture and stuff."
+Geller headed downstairs with Maya and Cadence to help finish moving the other wolf into the house and left Jenna and Trent to get the bed set up. Sharing work easily as they all got to know the new girl in the house.+
- Cadence would watch the reaction between Maya and Trent as she tackled the poor guy to the ground which made her smile some. Then she would return the small wave to him. The would slide out the door to make her way down the stairs. Looking back over her shoulder to Geller who was follow her down. Before speaking to answer the question which he had asked her - " I moved here because I model and my agent had got me some shows to do here in New Orleans over the next 12 months. So he thought it be better if I moved here instead of flying back and forth since it would be cheaper. So...that's why I'm here in New Orleans. "
- Cadence would make her way outside to open the trunks back to show all her stuff in boxes as they were all marked with which room they were going to go into with her apartment .But since she is living with Geller she probably didn't need all the stuff. So she would have to call around for a storage unit later tonight -
She blew a kiss to Geller as he left the room, then grabbed pillows and tossed one to Trent. Putting the pillow cases on and unfolding a comforter, she stretched to smooth her side.
"Her name is Cadence, she came into the Hookah today looking for Silent. She seems really nice, a little hesitant, but it's a lot to take in, coming into a new place, adjusting to the others around you...."
The corners of her eyes crinkled when she glanced at Trent. "Most of us can understand that, I should think..." The bed made, she unceremoniously sat on the edge of it, and crossed her legs, leaning back with one palm to the mattress.
"It's nice to meet you, Trent. So tell me about yourself, where you work, what makes you happy, what you avoid." Her head tilted to rest on her own shoulder, one leg swaying back and forth idly.
"I'll show you where you can put the extra stuff. There's a loft space upstairs we haven't done anything with so you can put the furniture there if you want to."
-Well wasn't she captain informative. But it was true. That space had been empty up there since they moved in so it seemed silly for Cadence to get a storage unit when it was just sitting there empty. Heading downstairs with Geller and Cadence she only tried to trip Geller on the stairs once. Just once! As Cadence told them about herself Maya rolled her baby blues skyward.-
"A model! What the fuck? When are some ugly girls gonna move to town!?" -Bubble gum pink lips grimaced and then smiled at Cadence.- "No offense girl. I just can't get a date to save my life and if girls who look like you keep moving to town I may never have a date until I'm as old as him."
-Hooking a thumb towards Geller who she thought was ancient she stepped up to the moving truck to see what was inside. Petite hands pushed up her imaginary sleeves as she bit at her lower lip. There was quite a bit to move so she shut up and just helped out where she was needed. -
If Dee was tired enough, she could sleep through a hurricane or a tornado if she really wanted to. With all the commotion going on the in the house, hearing voices, doors slamming, furniture being moved around, Dee finally couldn't take the noise and threw the comforter to the side, lazily climbing out of bed.
Slightly dressed in a tight, black cami and black, cheeky panties, she submerged from her bedroom and into the kitchen, hoping that someone had the decency to make her coffee while they were up. Finding her favorite mug, she poured the pre-made coffee into the ceramic cup, and just watched everyone move back and fourth from the front door to another empty room. Looks like someone was moving in...?
And there was. Those hazy, emerald jewels looked upon the petite, blonde woman that carried in boxes from her trunk. A slender, dark brow arched in curiosity. She overheard some of their conversation, catching her name and her occupation.
When Cadence came back into the house, Dee lifted her mug towards the woman, and took a nice, long drink of coffee. "I'm Dee, nice to meet you Cadence. Welcome to the house of Geller." A small smile creased her dry lips. She also said a somewhat, grumpily 'good morning' to Trent, Maya and Geller. However, when she saw Jenna, her smile shone brightly. "Hey Jenna! Thanks for the Starbucks gift card. It's awesome!" Although she didn't use it this morning, she would sure put a good use to it later on.
- Cadence would glance back toward Maya and Geller as they were asking her question and what not. Before letting a giggle escape her lips when Maya when into her rant about when some ugly women would come into town so she could get a date and what not . A shake of her head - " Dear I think any man would melt into a puddle of ooze if you even looked at them with how hot you are and any man would be lucky to have you. "
- Pulling out some boxes as she pile them up three at a time before making her way toward the house with them overhearing Maya go into telling her about the loft space that wasn't being used. - " Alright we can do that ..place my extra stuff up there for now .." - Making her way back into the house to spot Dee with her coffee as she gave a head nod back to her..- " Hello ! Nice to meet you too and thank you ..! " - Making her way up the step to the room which Trent and Jenna had finish making the bed - " Thanks guys but you didn't need to do that ..I could of done it .."
- Turning around placing her boxes on the floor with the rest of them as she brush some hair from her face. Before she would dig into one of the boxes to grab a hair tie and pulling her hair back away from her face. Then when back down for more boxes. Motion for Trent to join them in helping carrying boxes up - " Come on I don't bite .."
-Trent was quite happy to stay upstairs and help Jenna make the bed while the others went to get boxes out of the truck. He nodded quietly as Jenna explained to him who Cadence was and why she was moving into the house. Really the crowdedness of the place didn't bother him at all. He kind of liked laying on his bed and just listening to all the noises around him, somehow it was less lonely that way. Not a big talker himself he'd come to love Dee's angry rants, Maya's boundless energy, and of course Gellers amazing food.-
"Where do I work?" -As Jenna sat on the bed he hooked a hand around the back of a chair and turned it so he could straddle it and let his arms drape over the back.- "I....had a band, back in L.A. so I still get royalty checks. And....I do some other things for money."
-He wasn't trying to be cryptic, it was just coming out that way because he wasn't a huge sharer. As Jenna rapped out three more questions he shook his head and laughed, fingers pushing up through the spikes of his bright red hair.-
"Yeah, you're a cat."
-It was said in that soft sardonic voice as he smiled subtly. He didn't mind. It was just kind of funny. As Cadence motioned for him to join in the box unloading he looked at Jenna and shrugged. Putting the chair back he said good morning to Dee on his way out to help the others. Whatever it took to get done and when they finally were finished he was hoping they could have breakfast.-
