He dialed a number to the station. All he knew who to call was Officer Chapman wasn't it? That's what he heard someone told him at the Lake after explaining about the autopsies. Yeah, about that? So much to discuss. The phone rang then a voicemail picked up.
"Hello? Officer Chapman? This is the Coroner, Mr. Dillon. I'm calling in to report what you have requested from one of your men. Give me a call ASAP."It sounded important. There was importance when he spoke, Ashley never made no mistake when he spoke business. That's all he ever did, talk business. Not that he was married to his career.
He was busy typing on his laptop to an e-mail to one of the families who lost a daughter. By now, you would think people like him wasn't moved by something like people having nervous breakdowns or going through a mental distortion. The brain is the main importance of the body. It holds all the functions, one of them was emotions. The death of a loved one was hard on a person, it also took longer for a lot to stay strong and some still clings to them by taking their ashes with them instead of burying them in the ground. Once pressed the enter key and sent the consoling messages to the grievers. He listened to a voice-mail from Officer Chapman after he got through typing the final letter for the evening. Pulling the cellphone from the charger, he scrolled to messages then saw a name from the office.
Number dialed with a thumb then heard the phone ring on the other end. Ashley stood near his unmade bed, didn't bother to make it up, too many other things that kept his attention from smaller things that needed to be done. Putting the phone to the right of his ear, sitting down on the edge of the bed even as he waited for voice-mail. The receipient to the caller, he left a confirmed rendezvous point. "The Aerie? Alright, I'll be there first thing."He was straightforward with his response, keeping the details for when they can talk about this face to face at the location of her choice. Clicking the talk button off, he sat the phone down before resting for the next day.
