Alastrina had gotten James permission to go out for the day without worrying about going to work or to study since her brain already felt like it was going to explode from all the information that she retain in that little brain of hers. So getting up and going through her routine in the morning. Take shower which didn't take to long since she didn't do anything fancy, get dress sliding on a black tank top that say in red letters " Eat me or move out of my way dipstick, pair of black shorts that fit her comfortable and the very comfortable pair of red flip flops , eat breakfast which was a bowl of corn flakes.Then she would grab her wallet and key for the house placing it within the her pocket of her shorts then out the door she when.
Trina would head toward the shops,Cafe, etc. To see what kind of trouble she could get into. Hopefully something comes of the day. Since she really needed to get a social life other then hanging out at a book store her whole day.
Trouble? That was Daniel's middle name. Actually, his middle name was a closely guarded secret but it could definately have been trouble! After touching down in New Orleans earlier on in the day and having settled in to his hotel room for the duration of the two prepaid weeks he'd reserved, Danny was all about heading out to catch some of the action in town. The French District would be hit later in the evening, but during the daylight hours he'd most definately have to visit the Garden District and sample a bit of murky brew and something baked. The thought of coffee made his mouth water, but at the same time made his skin crawl at the thought of having to adjust from the taste of tea that he had aquired for the last three years.
Today's style while walking through town would be a Daniel classic, one of those 'Look at me, I may not look thick, but I'm smokin'' getups he threw together. A black button up shirt sans undershirt and left unbuttoned three buttons from the top for a little chest action, untucked over fit jeans. Today was definately a no jewelry day. He didn't want to have a gold digger on his tail his first day in New Orleans.
Since coffee was what made his tongue quiver, that was the first place he'd stop. He'd find himself a nice cafe and order a cup of mountain grown cafe au lait and mix it with a bit of sugar, buy himself a biscotti and sit himself right outside at a table to munch and sip. It was a curious thing, a wolf coming to town and going out for coffee first thing instead of seeking out the others of his kind right away. He just figured they'd find him eventually. He'd almost look forward to the likely 'Join or Die' confrontation.
Trina was making her way down the street not really paying attention to anything but looking through the windows of shops and what not. If anyone look at her most would think she was a vampire from the milky white skin she had. But no she wasn't she was human/wizard but just very pale for some reason. Blonde hair was down and going every which way since she didn't brush it. Piercing blue eyes looked this way and that. Before spotting a cafe up a head so decided she needed something to wet her tongue.
Making her way in that direction she would pull the door open . Then made her way up to get in line as she looked over the menu board to see what kind of drinks they had. Also decided she would also get a brownie with her coffee. Hand would reach up to gentle twirl a strand of hair with her finger as she waited in line.
Daniel sat silently at his outdoor table, thinking to himself while taking in the fresh scents of the day. A bakery sat down the street, and from the sweet waftings coming from that direction a culinary delight was coming from the oven. So many things in this town for him to take in, to learn and memorize. He was starting to think he nay be here for longer than just a few weeks!
Daniel had started biting in to the tough chocolate and white macadamia nut biscotti he had bought to eat with his coffee when he noted Alastrina roll in to the same shop he had parked himself outside. His nose twitched just slightly, and he tilted his head to the side just slightly as he studied her. Something unusual about this one. She had that vibe and that scent that screamed "I am one of them! I am different!"
"Or it could be the jailbait vibe, you know." Daniel mused to himself under his breath. His eyes shut a second and he laughed to himself. She did look young after all. He'd simply have to ask once she made her way outside.
Alastrina would ponder on what she was going to get at the cafe. Getting to the counter she would tell the women behind the counter that she wanted a ice mocha coffee with a chocolate chip muffin. Then the lady told her the total in which she would take the money out handing it over to the women before taken her stuff to make her way outside to continue her exploration of the city. Sipping on her coffee she glance to the young man seeming to eye her up. Which made a smile seeps over her pink lips.
Yes, she was somewhat young but did she care ? No not really she was smart and she knew what she was doing. But also if she got into trouble more then likely she could bail herself out. And yes she was different. She probably wasn't like him but she was different.
Daniel raised an eyebrow then. He noticed him, looked right at him, and didn't say a thing? Rather curious. He would have to make the first move then and get this little game rolling. "You are different." he stated, hand coming up to stroke under his chin. What could he be poking at? She didn't smell or feel like an animal, and she wasn't a vampire out in the daylight. Hrm.. He would figure it out.
"That makes you worth speaking to, Not only that, buy we will leave it there. Care to have a seat?" forward wasn't he? It was a side effect of all of the extra confidence his abilities pumped in to him.
Hearing him speak in her direction which got her attention in which she turn to him. Raising a brow before tilting her head. " Yes I am different. " Taken another sip of her coffee hearing that since she was different that she was worth speaking too? " Well was that a complement or a insult ? She would shake her head some trying not to be harsh . " Well what if I don't want to take a seat ? " Her hand would peel the wrapper off the muffin with her finger tips as she held her drink in the other.
She wanted to know how he was going to react to her not taken a seat at his table when he offered.But also she was stubborn anyway..and she like that about herself. Once getting that wrapper off she took a bite of her muffin as she looked at him with her piercing blue orbs.
"Compliment." he spoke kindly, standing from where he sat and strolling over in her direction. He was kind when he felt like it. "and if you will not sit, then I will stand."
A crunch of that heavenly biscotti signaled it's end, and he would then wash the cookie down with a heavy swig of brew. A soft humming came from him as he savored the last bits of their flavor. "So, now that you have me standing, what do you wish of me? Shall we congresses here in the open or move on somewhere else?" Oh he was a devil.
" Well thank you I guess " - Alastrina would watch him stand making his way over to her as she would hear him crunch the bisotti that he was eating. She would take another bite of her muffin. Getting a little chocolate on her nose.- " Well I was going to explore the city. I wouldn't mind some company in doing so ? "
- A twinkle would spark from her piercing blue as she turn her head in the sunlight. Before beganning to move down the street some wondering if he was going to fall in beside her. - " So what your name ? "
