Astrid would make her way down the path toward the street so they could catch a cab to the club. So placing her hand out to wave down a cab before she would turn to look at Zack. " Come on slow poke.." A soft laugh escape her lips as she watched a taxi pull up to the curb as she would hold the door open for him to slide into the back. Then once he got in she would slide in next to him. Then spoke to the driver giving him the address to The Aerie.
Feeling the taxi pull away from the curb as she would lean back into her seat. Then would glance over to Zack gently flicking his ear before placing her hand back in her lap as she glance the other way cracking a smile waiting for his reaction to her flicking his ear. " So this be your first time in a club ? "
Zachary followed just slightly behind, puffing away at the menthol hanging from his mouth while Astrid flagged down a cab. “You kiddin' me? Slow poke...I like to think I'm kinda fast, now.” The young pup laughed at the irony of the statement. After all, there was at least one thing he wasn't fast enough to avoid. He quickly sucked down the rest of the cigarette as the taxi pulled up close and flicked the butt off in the general direction of the nearest trash can, missing horribly. “I ain't gotta do this to much longer, you know. Nate left his bike here when he left, so I'm gonna guess it's mine...I just gotta figure out how to ride the damn thing first.” Laughing to himself a bit, Zack slid into the far side of the seat, giving Astrid room to get in, too.
“I've been in clubs before, just not for very long.” Zack responded generally, and it wasn't like it was a lie. He'd been in several different clubs, but found the loud music rather offensive to his ears...and this was before they became hyper-sensitive. Still, the less he talked about Nike to some of these people, the better. Sliding backwards a bit to get comfortable, the young man looked like he was going to say something else, but was stopped short by Astrid flicking him in the ear. “Hey!” He yelled back rather playfully, responding with a light punch to her shoulder. “...Meanie.” His face tried to hold a pouting look as best as it could, but he couldn't hold it for very long, bursting out with laughter again.
Astrid would laugh softly at him trying to place the pout face on when she flicked his ear. Then would gently rub at her arm some where he punched her. " I'm not mean .. I'm playful ! " Laughing some as she would see the club sign up ahead as the cab pulled over to step out of the taxi before leaning over paying for it. Then would wait for Zack to make his way out of the taxi. Once he did she would turn on her heels to head into the club.
Once entering the club entrance you could hear the music from the two different dance floors. Giving a wave to couple of the dancers. Then she made her way up to the bar to see how everything was going. Looking toward Zack. " So what you want to drink sweetie ! " Once he told her what he wanted. Then they were slid to her picking it up as she hands his over to him. Then she motion for him to follow which they would go up to one of the lounges. It seems the candle lounge was not as crowd. So that was the one they would hang out at tonight.
So once finding the seat sliding into it with her drink as she sip it . " So Zack. Have you found a job yet? And what kind if job are you looking for ? "
Knowing no restraint, Zack's laugh wasn't soft in any sense of the word. Hopefully, the taxi driver wouldn't get annoyed with the pup. “Yeah, you're not mean. And I ain't got a smokin' problem.” Of course, he was likewise playing, shooting her a wide grin. That was a good question, though...how would cigarettes affect him now that he was what he was? They wouldn't magically be good for him, sure, but maybe the ill affects of it wouldn't happen later on in life? There was only one way to find out, though, and Zack was already pulling out another one to stick behind his ear, waiting until they'd finally exit the club until he lit up again.
After pulling himself out of the taxi, Zack followed Astrid into the club, nodding at the man at the front counter on the way in. The music and lights from the club assaulted him as soon as the young man walked through the door, and he stayed there in the doorway letting his eyes and ears adjust. Getting used to all of his new powers was...difficult, to say the least. Once he was adjusted, he jogged forward, catching up with Astrid up to the bar. “Ehh...” Zack held back the urge to just snap right then. It's not like alcohol did anything to him anymore...one of the things that he missed from being human. “Wild Turkey. American Honey with ice, if you've got it.” Thankfully, the barkeep had at least one bottle on the shelf, and he eagerly took the glass from Astrid and began sipping on it. At least he could enjoy the taste of this straight without having to mix it with anything.
Lagging behind once again, the pup slid into the lounge behind Astrid, taking a seat in one of the couches across from her. “Well, besides the one day I worked at Seven Sins before shit hit the fan...no.” Finding a foot stool, Zack pulled it over and propped his feet up on it, leaning back in the couch to get comfortable. “I've been...kinda recovering since then, so finding a job has been pretty low on my priority list. But, the money's gonna start running low soon I wager, so I'll have to start looking again.” After actually realizing just who was asking, he raised an eyebrow at her. “...Why ya askin'?”
So sitting in the lounge area with Zack as she drank her tequila sunrise as she looked over to watch as Zack got comforable on the couch. Which made her raise a brow some " You comfortable now ? " Fingers would slide over the soft velvet material of the couch which made her space out some.
" Well the reason I was asking was because I had some open spots here at the club. If you like to take one of the postion I would love to give it to you. So you be making money. And you won't go hungry " A smile cross her lips as she wanted to help him some way. Since she couldn't help him with his wolf she could help him this way.

Shifting around a little more, Zack grinned over at Astrid. “Nope, not quite yet...” Finally, he slid down in the seat so that he was just short of laying down on the couch and stool, letting out a content sigh once he settled in place. “...Now I am. Thanks for askin'.” Once he was comfortable, Zack likewise took a small sip from the Wild Turkey, grabbing a chunk of ice and chewing on it while Astrid talked about the open positions.
“Really? That would be pretty damn sweet of you!” Within moments, Zack was back upright in his seat staring straight at her. Finally, something he could do with himself! “I mean, I don't want any sort of charity, but I do have experience as a bartender and janitor.. I'm willing to learn whatever it is you'd want me to do besides that, too.” It wouldn't be glorious work, but at least it'd be work. It couldn't feel any lower than selling whips and chains to sexual deviants, right? “Just as long as nobody gets cut up around here very often. I don't take to that kind of thing well anymore.” Not paying much mind to the alcohol, the young man took another sip, but seemed more intent on chewing on the ice while he waited for her response.
" Alright well " She would think some, taken some of her drink within her mouth before drinking it. Then watched as Zack moved around some getting comfortable. Then would laugh some . " Well it won't be charity you will have to work. Well I could use another bartender if you want the position ? And no one gets cut up around here. And I hope no one does. "
She would nod some before holding her hand out to him as she would agree to the job. " I'll have you do your paper work when you come in for the first night. So when do you want to start Mr. Wolfe.." She giggles lightly before pushing him back onto the couch once he shook her hand.
“You kiddin'?” There was a seconds pause while Zackary swallowed down the chewed up ice lingering in his mouth. “I'd love the job! Might be just a wee bit rusty at the whole customer service thing, but I'll pick it back up soon enough. Just tell me when I start!” The 'cut up' bit was more of a joke than anything, but it was hard to tell with some of the establishments nowadays. Especially considering what he'd been through with Steven and Nike just a few nights before.
With a bright smile, Zack stood to return the handshake to Astrid, wanting to hug her more than anything. It was hard enough to hold back his strength on the handshake as it was. “This'll be twice that you're saving my ass. Really can't thank ya enough for it.” There was so much more that he wanted to say, but the words kept getting stuck in his throat. Why was it so damn hard for him to say anything about himself now? Hell with it, he thought, best to keep it short and simple.
“Sounds like a plan to me, and I can start here in the next couple days if you need me that soon. Nate left his bike for me too, so I can at least I can get here easy eno-” The thought was stopped short, Astrid catching him off guard with her push. Thinking quickly, he reached forward and grabbed a hold of her arm in an attempt to pull her onto the couch beside him. “I'm gettin' a bit to fast for that, hun!” He yelled, laughing.
"No, I'm not kiddin you ! " Slowly she would take a sip of her drink before placing it on the table in front of her. " You can start Friday night since that is pretty much are crowded nights. So you will get good tips..And plus don't need to thank me. You would do the same for me if it happen to me. " Seeing that he was having hard time forming words as she tilts her head some watching him .
" That's fine. " She would give out a yelp as her arms were snatched and she would be pulled down with him onto the couch as she was pretty much sitting within his lap. Her wrist within his hold they were tight but not enough to where he was hurting her. Her golden color orbs would twinkle within the candle light in the lounge .
A bright sparkle appeared in the corner of the pup's baby blue eyes. Inside, Zack tried not to get to excited, reminding himself of how his last job ended up. It didn't seem like this place was in any danger of folding anytime soon, though, so he let himself be a little more enthusiastic about it. “Sounds like a plan to me! Don't mind me if I'm a little rusty startin' out, but I'll work out the kinks in no time flat. I'm supposed to be fast as hell now, right?” Hopefully that would be the only new talent of his that would have to be put into good use.
Well this certainly wasn't exactly how he thought this would turn out! A small, embarrassed smile spread across his face, and Zachary started to laugh at the situation. Astrid was a nice girl, someone that Zack might have tried to take a little further under different, more normal circumstances. As he was, though, he simply released his grip on her and pushed her off lightly onto the couch. “Lets...keep this professional, huh darlin'?”
" Well everyone makes mistakes on there first day of work. But I know you will do great. " Hopefully the place wouldn't fold anytime soon since it was booming with business and plus she wouldn't let it fall to that anyway. " Well as long as your a good pup and don't do anything your not suppose too."
Then would see that smile creep along. Before she was let go to pushed back onto the couch. Which would make her laugh lightly. Before she pushed up onto her hands before swinging her legs around ." Well your the one that pulled me into your lap. So.." Leaning over poking his nose before picking her glass of tequila sunrise up. Finishing it off before sitting the empty cup back on the table.
