On the metaphysical plane, as the sun descended in the New Orleans sky, the head of the white tigress lifted. Large jaws opened and the roar was sent to reverberate to every tiger in the city and beyond. Whatever their aspirations or plans for the evening, the call eclipsed that. The call of what they were, the call of their innate need, the call of the hunt.
Standing nude in all her golden glory, the white tigress was still in human form. She would be the last to shift to ensure nothing went amiss. Those of their family stood near, Santana, Max, Avery and Evening.
Jenna would keep the newly turned little one close to her tonight, her first Moon. So many things could happen, moon drunk, blood lust, frenzy from the scent of others. It was one of many reasons that when that majestic roar sounded through the metaphysical plane, along with it came a funnel of violet scented heat, wrapping around and drawing the tigers to the area with an added layer of warmth and protection.
In those moments prior to the first shift, energy was sweeping around the tigers, bringing them closer, defining their instinctive gifts to a well honed point. Each one drank from the other, their power more when united than fractured.
Her arms lifted to draw Evening close, nuzzling the young girl with the satin softness of her cheek purring words of encouragement and comfort. Teal eyes were pure, vivid violet, their other worldly appearance transfixed on each tiger in turn. She adored them all, each held a special place within the white tigress. They were growing stronger, more powerful in their own right and she meant to see that growth continue.
As the full brunt of the moon touched the earth, Jenna's heart raced, her mouth upturned into a smile of secret delight. It was time.
Santana felt the pull, the call. Not just from Jenna, but the moon itself seemed to beckon to the black tigress within her. A restlessness always clung on the edges of her, but even more so on the full moon. Denim and leather abandoned, the wall she kept so carefully in place were set aside. No, she hadn't completely gone all warm and fuzzy, but she wasn't giving the snarling glare to the world. In some ways, the beast was more civilized than the woman.
She didn't linger to hold onto her fellow tigers, nor to play in the freedom of the shift. It was a simple, well executed shifting from blonde to black Tigress. Those eyes a bright clear green scanning over the others as her ears flattened and the tiger gave a long lean stretch. Mrawr that felt good! Her tail twitched, ears perking back up as Santana sniffed the slight breeze rolling past.
Waiting on them? I think not! Santana took off like a bat out of hell, claws digging into earth and grass, zig zag path that wasn't to hunt or evade. The beast was just having a bit of fun while the rest of them caught up.

With the call back from Johnny, saying he had to take his sister to see their family, she grinned. What little she knew about him and his family, that was going to be an interesting time! Telling him to meet her at the shop, she finished up what she'd been working on, and got things closed up.
So when a few hours later, Johnny showed up, she grinned, and nuzzled his cheek. "Hiya. All set?" Piling into her car, she pulled out of her parking spot and headed to Jenna's uber hunting spot. Following the directions her sister had given. And it was that way, that found the little blue, and the loud red tigers moving towards the little group of Jenna, Santanna, Max, and a little orange tiger she'd never met.
Grasping her new friends hand, she tugged him over to Jenna. "Jenna, this is Johnny...didn't think you'd mind another tiger joining us..." Looking up at Johnny, she grinned. "This is Jenna. She's cool. Known her for awhile now."
Avery was ready for the change, though nerves seemed to course through her the whole time. Nerves? Why nervs? Probably because in the last ten years, she hadn't shifted infront of anyone. Nobody had seen her beasts form, except for Vito.
Greeting Santanna and Max, she finally settled back on the ground next to Johnny, and leaned back on her hands, waiting for Jenna to give the signal that it was time to start. Her beast already paceing back and forth. restless and waiting.

The power of the moon became a steady pulse, infusing their blood, triggering natural responses. The reality of the world beyond them receded and there was only now. This night, this moon.
The white tigress whispered to the little orange kitten and stepped back while Evening shifted. She would be safe among them. A funnel of power blasted through the area, scent of violet with an energy that was always well contained until necessary. The stage was set.
There was a new tiger among them, one she had not met. Her head canted, nostrils flared breathing in the male's scent and memorizing it. Violet eyes turned in his direction with a regal incline of the blonde head in greeting. But it was the nerves of Avery that caught her attention.
Nerves, but not weakness. Jenna's full mouth curved upward, the glint of white teeth in the moonlight flashed momentarily. There had always been a special place in her heart for this one. Such potential, such graceful beauty of her beast. A rare beauty that was to be protected at all costs. The blue tigress.
While the others made their shifts according to their own needs, Jenna remained watchful but the long legs turned her toward Avery. She said nothing, merely knelt, long blonde hair brushing over honeyed skin as her head bent forward. Her cheek brushed against the blue tiger. The comfort of a mother, the strength of a white tigress female, the acknowledgement that she had confidence in the one as close to her as a sister that all was well.
Rising to her full height, she let her head drop back, letting the moon's glow bathe her features; her arms stretching wide to glory in the moments between human and tiger.
"Hunt well, beautiful tigers! Hunt long, regal beasts! The night is ours to make of it what we will! Let the Hunt begin!"
