Saturday mornings were never Kat's strong point. For some reason Monday through Friday she could wake up no problem, but Saturdays? No, it took an act of god to get her out of the bed. The loud shrill of the phone beside her bed would be such an act since she knew who was on the other end of that line.

"If she's not dying, I may kill her myself."

She rolled over and unpleasantly jerked the hand held off the base and hit the button before sticking it to her ear and sliding back under the covers. Now, normally she didn't go to bed until early in the morning hours, never slept long and always, always slept very lightly. It was something she'd just trained herself to do. When you had a penchant for setting things on fire you tended to do things like that. Her mothers voice filled her ear and she groaned as she reach over her shoulder for the blanket. Now, she hadn't really been asleep when the phone rung, but she usually reserved Saturday morning for that lifeless doze phase she was perfecting.

"Mom, come on. Not today."

She rubbed the heel of her hand against her forehead and sighed. Knowing her doze perfecting time was well screwed at this point she rolled over and tossed the blankets back before padding barefoot into the kitchen and digging through the fridge. She made a face at the selection and wrinkled her nose slightly as she continued to "yeah, uh huh, and okay" to her mother on the phone. Opening a cabinet, or two, had pretty much the same effect the fridge did.

"Hey mom, I'm going to let you go. I'm going to go out for a bit."

Her eyes rolled towards the ceiling as her mother's now cheerful voice seconded what a great idea that was. Before she hung up. Kat pulled the phone away from her ear and looked at it for a moment.

"Mom, you seriously worry me sometimes."

Was said for her own benefit before the phone was placed on the counter and she wondered into her room. Once dressed in bootleg jeans, a tie die t-shirt with a smurf on it, and her canvas sneakers she grabbed her tote and her Chaplin hat and out the door she went. She caught a streetcar to Jackson square and the made a beeline for this little Bistro she knew about. Dropping into one of the wrought iron chairs in the outdoor area she crossed her legs and took the menu the waiter handed her. Her hair was down in full mass today and she tossed it over her shoulder as she tried to decide what to order.

One of the things that made America great, more specifically this region of America great was the fact that winter really didn't have a place here.Rather, it had a place but it was nothing like the endless tide of dreary weather, rain and snow that beget his home country. for almost half the year it rained, and snowed and was just miserable on the little island. Here he could sit outside as a nice corner bistro and enjoy a nice sandwich and some coffee, and not be absolutely down trodden by the scenery that went on around him.

The Wizard was also sitting outside, a two person table to himself he liked sitting outside, because that meant that he didn't have to worry about his magic interfering with the lights or anything. he could just enjoy his panini sandwich, which while tasty featured a name that wasn't a true word in any one language, but if you sparced together several from any romantic language and English you had the wondrous culinary work of art that sat on the plate before him.

James was never one to let it be known outright that he was a Wizard, it wasn't their way. Wizards have been locked up in the loony bin before for spouting off about doing magic... and well it didnt take long for them to table that whole practice. To aid that, James never dressed anything but normal. and today it was a simple blue t-shirt and a pair of blue jeans. while he usually wore long sleeves out in public no one else seemed to be wearing them, and he didn't want to look like weirdo. suffice it to say the dark ink on his skin, stuck out well enough, mathematical equations, long complex series of numbers and symbols, inked in flowing lettering encircled his arms tightly winding around his arms starting at the forearm and disappearing underneath the sleeves of his t-shirt. while at work he wouldn't display them, as that wasn't professional. here he was on his personal time and not subject to such restrictions.

When the mostly empty seating area garnered another resident for the time being James was taking a sip of his coffee. his sip Finished he he he rose his mug slightly tot he young lady. "Good Morning." He may have been a wizard and apt to hide that fact but one still greet a lady when she entered a room, or in this case, an outdoor seating area.

She was looking at the menu as she brought her hand up to remove her hat and set it on the table by her. That's when she heard the voice and looked up to the man lifting his mug in her direction. A timid, but happy smile crossed her lips as she nodded. "Good morning." Was said back politely before she half smiled again and turned back to the menu in her hand. When the waiter returned after a few minutes she bit her bottom lip and then looked up at him. "I'd like a grilled cheese on sour dough bread, tomato soup and a small side of fried green tomato's." That mixture of southern and Cajun poured from her lips as she spoke. "Oh, and I'll have...." She thought for a minute. "lemonade to drink, I think." Glancing back in the man's direction she then turned back to her own table as she tapped her finger nails on it lightly. Annoying habit, that.

Shifting in her seat she pulled off her tote and dug into it for her latest book. Well, it was one she had for years, just a newer copy of it. One of her most favorite stories in the world, The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Her feet rested under her seat now and she crossed her ankles as she leaned back in the chair. A minute or two passed and her lemonade was brought to her and she took a drink. Then she wanted to smack her forehead. She was doing one of the things she said she was going to stop. Setting the book aside after making her place with the frog prince bookmark she shifted in her seat slightly. Okay, the book said small talk was easy. Start with the weather.

"Lovely day isn't it?" There that wasn't so hard, was it? Now she felt really pathetic for having to use a book to remember how to relate to people.

James hadn't begrudged her for going on and reading her book, though he did steal a glance at the title. another impressive literary mind, first a young man comes into his store and asks about Blake, and then a young lady reading the hunchback. hell maybe he had unfairly judged Americans by the teenage drama queens that entered his store.

his had given his attention to his sandwich again and was in the process of chewing a bite when the young lady spoke again. hastily swallowed, and looked backup at her again. "It most certainly is. certainly the finest march day I've experienced in a long while." his accent was muddled, sort of English, sort of Scottish. while he was a Londoner he had spent most of his adult life living with the white council in Edinburgh.

And while she may have thought socialization was difficult, James had also spent most of his adult life around a bunch of Wizards, stoic and always researching the whole lot of them he was at a severe disadvantage." Thas' a good choice Lemonade, I'm told they make it fresh here..." Couldn't ask after her book or anything? nope, he went with... Lemonade. awesome.

Oh good, someone that was as socially inept as Kat. This should prove interesting. Throw two peas in a pod who were socially artless and see what happens. A smile was given as he answered about the weather and she tipped her head back to look up at the sky slightly. "If this keeps up the gardens will be in full bloom soon." She was more or less referring to the New Orleans Botanical Gardens. He wouldn't know that, maybe, but it was one of Kat' favorite places. Being born and raised here with a few trips all over the world before she was 18 because her mother was a botanist had rubbed off on her some.

And then he brought up her lemonade and made her smile. "They do. One of the best places in New Orleans to get it." She took a sip from her glass as if to seal the comment. She then had to think for a moment to figure out something new to say. She'd picked up on his accent and choose that to comment on. "So, you are not from the states?" Please don't let that sound rude, she pleaded in her mind.

Her self solitude and social massacre you were seeing now was her own doing, but she was slowly trying to fix the damage she had done. She hated saying it, and would never voice it out loud, but her mother had been right. Closing yourself off from everyone was not the best course of action.

he took a sip of his coffee and motioned the waiter over. a motion to her glass of lemonade and a nod from the waiter confirmed that the waiter received his message loud and clear. well not loud, but the message was clear. he watched her as she spoke, offering a small smile. James never made eye contact, not with anyone.. which lead a lot of his vanilla friends to think that he was autistic... he wasn't It was sort of a wizard thing. at least he could look at her eye brows or nose and still at least fake it.

"No, unfortunately not; I got to spend most of my life in the UK, it's rather dreary this time of year. usually, I'm really quite thankful for moving out here." he said that with a smile, it was a very common question asked of an Englishman in the states and hopefully the smile would convey that he didn't think she was rude. There was a pause and a moment of thought before he asked."New Orleans has open air Gardens?" it was something he did not know about the area, after all his life mostly consisted of, telling teenagers that their literary tastes where shit and going home to read. Being a wizard is awesome isn't it?

"I've been to the UK. It was during the spring. My mother is a, well, is and was, a botanist. She loved traveling to botanical gardens all over the world. Even to a few of the jungles." Of course she hadn't been able to get out much since she'd been in a wheel chair at the time. That before her life had changed completely. "I assume the weather there can be very dreary there during the winter months." Sipping her lemonade she reach out and fingered the tassel of her bookmark making it dance slightly as they spoke. A smile and a 'Thank you.' was given to the waiter as he set her soup and thing on the table. "We do have open air gardens here. They're in the city park off Victory Avenue." She pointed in the general direction of the park from where they were at. "Give them a few weeks in this weather and the whole place will be in full bloom. It's beautiful then."Picking up a half of her grilled cheese to tore off a bite and dipped it in her soup before bringing it to her mouth. She took her time with the bite before swallowing. "So, if I may ask, what brought you to the states? Work?" She was relaxing some, this whole talking to people wasn't as hard as she thought it would be. That did not mean she was exactly comfortable with it and wouldn't say the wrong thing at the wrong time. But, it was probably better than sitting alone in her apartment lined with books.

James' eyebrows went up a bit whenshe mentioned that her mother was a botonist. Certainly someone Ye could most definitely get along with. James had a great interest in the subject, mostly because of his affinity for the practice of potion making." An english spring is absolutely lovely summers too. The constant ocean brair you get on the island prevents it from becoming overwhelming. I'm glad you got to experience it while it was nice."

He gave a nod when she spoke about the gardens. The gardens would most definitely be something when he finally got the chance to check it out. He managed to gulp down the last bit of his coffe before the waiter got to his table with his tea. A quick trade of mug for glass

And James took a drink from it with a nod to the man eyes down on the liquid for a moment as he thought of a safe answer. And then after a moment of though he spoke up. " sort of...I am running my own business. But I'm here in the states because I was told to be for my own protection." That last bit sounded a bit forced like he really didn't believe it himself.

Technically though it would be safer the last dark wizard to take a stab at him did have apprentices and they're not to keen on him as a person.another thought before he looked up again. "How about you? Are you local?" Mostly asked because he pegged her accent.

Botany was one of Kat's favorite subjects since she had grown up with it. Her mother had even quizzed her on typical plants found in the south. It'd been one of her favorite games. One of her favorite trips had been to Tennessee the eastern part where they have over two hundred and fifty different types of trees. It had been a great experience. Especially the trips in the fall to the national park there. Amazing range of colors when the trees turned. She would have loved to been able to see more of the Uk's countryside. "We remained in the cities a lot while mom worked. But, Dad took me for walks when he was free and to the park and things. I always liked being outdoors. What I saw was beautiful though."

She continued to eat as they talked. She'd take a bit and be polite not talking while she was chewing. At least she still had her manners. Her mother would smack her at Sunday dinners if she didn't. When he said something about protection she didn't comment on it, just skipped to the next subject feeling that if she asked it'd be like prying. "Yes, I'm local. I grew up here in the French Quarter. I work over at the library, So I usually just walk everywhere or take a streetcar." She gave a slight shrug as if that meant little.

Well Kat and James would be as two peas in a pod then, where they ever to speak more on the subject of botany. hell perhaps she might even be interested in potion making, it wasn't all too hard, and really only required the smallest bit of preternatural talent in order to do. There where books about alchemists that could rival some wizards in a battle. crazy stuff.

While she spoke James took that opportunity to take a bite of his sandwich, eyes watching her while she spoke. because it was more polite to look at someone while they spoke to you." I did too, as a lad, nothing like a right jaunt in the sunshine to get the mood up and the blood flowing 'ey?" He wasn't trying to make a faux pas. as evident by his moving onto the taking a sip of his lemonade before he spoke again."I'm not too keen on the street cars... something about them... I dunno." he shook his head. he could have said something more specific , like the fact that his presence on a street car would ruin any bit of tech on the train... that sort of thing made people ask questions. he didn't like questions. but he did add on.

" I unfortunately don't live close enough to walk to my store though... I own "A Real Page Turner" down town." maybe that implied well enough it was a book store.

Taking a sip from her glass she smiled at him as she swallowed and nodded. "Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy the jaunt much. I was in a wheelchair at the time." She made it sound so nonchalant that she changed the subject. But the fact was that she had been so depressed then that she didn't remember to much. Which was sad. "Some day, I'd plan on going back and taking a Jaunt through the park though and in the country as well." The UK had been one of the places her parents looked to try and find treatment for her after her accident. That was the whole reason they went.

"Streetcars take some getting use to if you are not use to them." She chuckled and smiled as she turned her attention on him because that last bit of information peeked her interest. "You own a bookstore? Have any good books?" The smile she gave was almost playful as she looked away back to her food. "I love books, it's why I went to work at the library." Truth was she hadn't been much of a reader until all the weird things started happening to her. That's when she had started to read, and then found out she loved to read, to soak up the knowledge. "My landlord says I'm not the weird cats lady, but the weird book lady." A laugh escaped her now as she glanced back his direction.

When she mentioned the wheel chair he flinched a bit but offered a smile." I'm sorry..." but she changed the subject, and he would jump along on that train, more then happy to not be on an uncomfortable topic."I'm told that, I don't do too well in crowded spaces... and I usually see them pretty jammed." that was another way to explain it, claustrophobia... hell that was a good one, he might just have to use it more often.

He smiled a nice broad smile whens he inquired about his store." Indeed I do, on both counts. I have a broad selection of classic first editions. as well as ancient occult texts." that was a safe way to say magic. without outing himself as a wizard, a lot of people had interest int he occult. and he could filter out a serious craft user before selling anyone anything that might get them hurt. " it's sort of what keeps me in business. the rare stuff." IT was true, a rare book, like some of his magical texts where several hundreds of dollars. some where even pricier then that. "What sort of books do you like?"

His apology was accepted with a nod and the subject waved off. Before it moved on to better things. "They do get a bit crowded some days. I've learned to ignore people, probably not the best of habits. But, for a while I deemed it necessary." She took another bite as she listened to him go on about the book store and her eyes lit with interest as he spoke. His type bookstore was the type she liked to stumble upon, they usually carried rare books about myths, lore and legends. She had debated the last few years with flying back to South American and digging around, but it was not a decision she was going to make lightly. What if they decided to keep her?

"Well, I love the classics, Tom Sawyer and the like, but my main enjoyment is studying myths and legends. Anything like that I love getting my hands on those type books. I tend to get lost in them." The last part was said almost like an omission of guilt. Truth was she could loose hours of the day in a good book that caught her attention. "I do believe I will have to come by and check out your books. I'm a sucker for a good bookstore."

he took another drink from his lemonade and gave a nod. " I'll have to remember that, just ignore people sometimes. " like when snotty teenagers tried to talk about their perfect twilight books and why he should carry more of them. James could most certainly be saved a great deal of grief in his day by simply ignoring them, well played miss.

" I believe that you should... I've got an entire section on legitimate research into the power held by the greco/roman gods. including this fascinating text, claiming proof at their existence, while not truly deities, they where supernatural beings that we now read about as vampires and demons... it really is quite fascinating" James rattled that last bit off very quickly mouth going a milek a minute, but he caught himself at that last word and leaned back into his seat some taking a sip of his lemonade." here..." pausing to stand from hsi table, reaching into the pocket of his jeans and producing a small silver card holder. he slid it open and pulled from it a clean white business card that said 'A Real Page Turner' Proprietor: James Cooper. as well as an address and a business phone number. James had a personal phone, but the damn thing was sketchy he barely ever used it. he took a few steps closer to her and offered the card forward.

If this nice young lady was sensitive to such things she might feel a slight tingling of James' magical aura when he got closer, a subtle presence that wasn't intrusive or anything, it was simply there. "oh, that's me there, James Cooper, It's a pleasure." said like he had forgotten to introduce himself. which technically she had, but who was she to know wether or not that was his name there. aside from yanno context clues. James never claimed to be a suave and charming man. he was in fact a little socially awkward. which was pretty bad considering his age.

Oh dear god in heave, Don't ask Kat's opinion on Twilight ever. She'd tell him to pile the books in a pile and tell all the twilighters that he was giving away free copies. He should then soak the pile in gas and light it, when the showed up he could tell them if they could get a copy it was their's. But, that was just Kat's opinion. At his comment she simply said, "Those books should be burned and the publishing house that bought them should be bombed." She pushed her plate away and leaned back in her chair and crossed her legs as she sipped her tea.

A smile pulled at her lips as he started talking about books though. The smile and the look on her face should have been enough to let him know what he was talking about interested her. A chuckle even escaped her as he seemed to have caught himself going on about things. Then he stood and approached her and produced a card for her. When he got closer she didn't sense a thing really, she wasn't that type person. She took the card without touching him. She hoped he didn't see it as a rude gesture, it was just the way Kat was. At the moment she was relaxed and felt almost normal. But, in a few moments who knew.

A smile lifted her lips as she looked up at him. "A pleasure to meet you, James, I'm Katerina Keeble. You may call me Kat though." She tucked the card into her tote bag as she looked down to make sure it slid into the pocket she wanted. "You wouldn't have any books on South America lore, would you?" Even if he didn't she'd still make it a point to stop in and look around.

A small chuckle escaped his lips when she spoke up about 'those books'. While James agreed, they did sell very well. and as a business man one could not really scoff at the money they offered. money was money... regardless of how poorly written the books where.

As for the lack of touching, it wasn't something James took offense to, there where a lot of things that could get into through a touch if you where not prepared for it. luckily for James he was prepared for such an assault. but he wasnt offended. when she took th e card he stepped back to his table and took a seat, the other seat at his table maybe because it was a bit closer and conversation might be easier.

He had picked up his sandwich and popped the last bit of it into his mouth and chewed it down while he thought about her request, a look of pretty deep concentration present there. after a swallow and the absolute death of his lemonade he gave a nod. " I do, I have some good ones, and some pretty terrible ones.... truth be told its mostly the bad ones that talk about Quetzalcoatl... people capitalizing on the fear produced by the end of the world myths and all that rot yeah? I have some good ones on the fire bird though..." and he mused for a moment. " I have several that focus upon the blood rites and tasks used to please their gods... as well as a few that claim to be translations of diaries found in places like Manchu pichu... Latin america is a pretty big mystery to alot of people in comparison... I mean i could fill a library with books upon Norse, Egyptian adn greco roman myths... Latin American lore... is far less accommodating." and he caught himself again, shaking his head.
" I'm terribly sorry about that Kat... I'm apt to go off on tangents such as that often, I'll ask that you not hold it against me." he wasn't trying to be rude... just sort of came out that way unintentionally.

She asked for a to go box for the rest of her food and then turned back to him. It wasn't that she didn't like to be touched or to touch, it was an old reflects to protect other people. One she'd probably never break. Which kind of mad it all a little sad. But, that's what made her feel safe also. Her attention remained on him as he spoke about books, gods, and cultures. It all made her smile to see that he got as wrapped up into things as she did sometimes.

When he asked her not to hold it against him she laughed. "I wouldn't dream of holding it against you, James. I've been known to do the same thing from time to time. Most of the time I have people looking at me like I am nuts. So, please, go on a tangent all you like. I've learned that if you pay attention you learn from them." A chuckle escaped her as she sipped on the last bit of her lemonade. "See, I have such a wide range of things that I like to read about. It starts with things like gardening and botany and ends with lore, legends and fantasy." She gave a shrug of her shoulder. "My landlord is telling me he's going to put me on the first floor because my apartment weighs to much." A chuckle was given as she smiled and even blushed a little. "It's safe to say my apartment is lined with bookshelves and I've ran out of room so they are stacked around some to."

James relaxed into his seat a bit and produced a twenty dollar bill which he placed upon the table. it was more then enough for his food, drink and a decent tip... but maybe he was trying to subtlely show off that he was mister money bags or something. truth be told he really wasn't  but he had just dropped the whole 'business owner' thing and didnt want to look cheap.

he made no move to leave though, instead he turned his chair to face her while they spoke, he was in no real rush. afterall this was one of the more not magically inclined conversations he'd had in like... ever.

"your words fall upon like ears...Though i would say that my taste starts int he legends and fantasy. mostly because he was a Wizard. and wizards needed to keep up on things like that lest those members that fit into those catagories decided that wizards shouldnt really be around anymore.  a small laugh was offered to the conversation as well and he shook his head. " my home is five bedrooms, and three of them are better classed as libraries. a contractor had to come and shore up the foundation when I moved in." though James' library was one that would make what he was willing to sell in the store look like penny change. he had the only copies of journals penned by Merlin. the original merlin... not some poser with a title. a gift from his former mentor. He also had works penned by the hands of the sidhe as well as countless texts on the art and science int he theory of magic.  wizards really liked to write."you know, if you have run out of space, I do support a book exchange program... you might be able to clear some space up, perhaps pick up something new. If you'd liek of course. " James wouldnt part with his collection of books. but that was mostly ebcause his couldnt be replaced.  got forbid it if his house ever burnt down.

She chuckled and smiled at him as he spoke about his home. "I have more books at my parents house, I just don't have room for them in my apartment." Polishing off the last of her lemonade she started to place everything into the box the waiter had placed on her table a few moments ago. "I could probably part with a few, but I know that when I do I'm going to go looking for them and then I'll just have to buy them again." Soft laughter escaped her as she worked. "Been there, done that."

When she was done she closed the container and turned a bit more in her chair towards him. Her hand lifted and she tucked her hair behind her ear. "But, South American legends and lore are my cup of tea, so to say. I do a lot of research on it." She didn't know what she hoped to find in doing such, A way to reverse it, An instruction manual, something. But she wasn't holding her breath either. Mostly she just wanted to know what was going on with her and if it would get worse. "I eventually want to take a trip there in a few years. Just to see the sights really." A slight shrug lifted her shoulders. "But, I have a fond love for Greek and Native American lore though. Especially the Native American side. They have some interesting and intriguing stories."

" but you see, doing that would be extremely good business for me." he said that with a smile. It would be good business for the store owner, she could trade in her books, get more books and then come to buy her books back. it was the cycle of capitalism. of course the smile was enough to show that he was at least mostly kidding about that.

It was ironic, that she wanted help fixing a problem she was having. but James might have been able to help with it, if they where not hiding what one another was from each other but it was safe to ask." any particular subject, or myth? I can pull a few books together, ready to look through." might have been easier for her them searching through every book in his store looking for information. he agreed that some of the more creative myths where of the Native American variety. skin walkers, rain talkers and the like fascinating stuff. he let his question hang. watching her from his releaxing lean back into his wrought iron chair.

"Ah, so it's a marketing ploy. Shame on you." That smile danced across her lips once more as she looked at him. "I'll think about it." She could probably do with a down grade on a few of her books, after all she had a few books the were similar and basically repeated what the other books said. She'd have to go through them and see though.

And then he asked what she was looking for and she wasn't quite ready to go into the full details of that, but she could narrowed it down. "Well, my main focus point is on the God, Makunaima, and the Goddess, Amana." She milled around in her head the best way to put the next part. "Well, I guess you could say if they have Demi god children, or people saying they were blessed by them and whatnot. Basically, anything I can get my hands on about them." Maybe that sounded sane to her but it also sounded confusing without explaining her whole story as well. Sometimes life was so complicated.

"You call it marketing, I call it trying to garner new books to add into inventory." he returned her smile with one of his own. IT really was one of the reasons, you know, along with getting money into the store that he wanted to do that. never knew what books people had hidden away. and while James assumed that most of her books would not be the same sort of book he was going to show her. he was interested to see them, you could tell a lot about someone by seeing that they read.

his brow furrowed a bit when she spoke of the creator god and goddess. " fascinating, I'll see what I can dig up on those two. though, I dont know if I'll be able to find some eye witness reports or anything. but I might have an assembled works gathered up regarding potential boons granted to mankind." single instances tended to get lost to time, but large events, well they stuck around.

It was certainly worth looking into. hell he might be able to make a call to someone, there where a few worshipers on the council. and said that their powers where a gift from their gods. but he certainly couldn't just hand that information over to this total stranger. regardless of how nice she was.

"I consider it thrifty marketing and a smart move on your part really." She smiled and toyed with a lock of her hair. "That means you're a pretty smart business man in my book." A slight nod was given in admission of that fact. That lock as well as the rest of her hair was tucked behind her ears on both sides and she dropped her hands to her lap and twisted her thumb ring she always wore.

"I'm not really worried about eyewitness stuff, I've se..found enough of that on my own." She bit her lip at the fumbled words and sighed a little. "What I am looking for is stories or legends about that sort of thing. I've looked into eyewitness accounts and not found anything like what I'm looking for. Some are hoaxes and lies. It's difficult to sort them out without some major digging." She gave a shrug since that comment more or less showed how long and how far she dug into the facts. What she needed were even half facts, something to tell her what she was and how to control it possibly. Or better just to explain what in the blue blazes was going on with her!

James gave a nod. eyes watching the young lady, musing silently upon her words for a moment. she had slipped her tongue just a bit, caught herself, that little slip brought a quirk of his brow though. any number of words could have started off that way. But, using context clues and the specificity of her request the Wizard could have guessed that maybe she saw something and as was usual of humans who saw something they did not quite grasp how best to absolve their situation.

James smiled then and stood from his seat. "There are a great deal of hoaxes, and lies in the literary works regarding the gods, I will see what I can find for you; stop by my store when you have the opportunity. I'll get started on it strait away." he offered her his hand as he made his way towards the gate to the seating area. offering her his hand in passing. Other practitioners and most supernaturals could get a glance at a wizard's aura of magic at skin contact. she showed no reaction when he handed her his card, and as such he assumed she was vanilla. "It was a pleasure to make your acquaintance Miss Katerina."

She took his hand in passing and nodded. "Thanks. I'll stop in soon and see what you have. I'll probably bring some books." Her smile was one of less hesitation as the others she had given. Well, she had seen something that was abnormal, but she didn't want to absolve it. She wanted to understand it. Maybe that was her whole problem with controlling it.

Maybe, just maybe, she was thinking to much like a human and not enough like an elemental. But, the fact remained she didn't even know what she was, so how could she accept it. Maybe when she knew some pieces would click into place. "It was a pleasure meeting you as well, James." Was said after him as she went. Turning back to her table she smiled to herself. Maybe she was going to be okay after all.
