After the two-hour long city council meeting, Nathaniel finally emerged victorious, having proven his point about Seven Sins BDSM Parlor not being a "cheap sex shop that belongs in the red-light district." Seven Sins was bliss in a box. The double SS logo that represented the shop, although represented Nathaniel Roshan's motto, "SAFE SEX."
One had to know what they were doing when purchasing dungeon equipment, toys, and even garments to wear that could restrict blood flow to extremities. One had to be a business whiz to market that product to the high class socialite all the way down to the recreational purchaser. That man was Nathaniel Roshan. The Israeli wolf, dressed in a Hugo Boss suit, and tie literally had to cross town to get to his appointment with the realtor at Prudential.
He hauled ass on his Harley to meet with the realtor, Claire Le Beouf, who had a perfect commercial property with living space above in which he could make a haven for himself. 1444 St. Charles Avenue was the address, and as Nathaniel pulled up to the curb and got his first glimpse of the place, it seemed perfect for his needs. A garden in front, such was the way of the Garden District. A picture window in which to advertise his tasteful wares, and double doors that opened in front, a signature of all the Seven Sins Parlors that he owned.
The asking price was well over $2,300,000 but had recently been reduced to $1,250,000. Nathaniel thought the structure was a bargain, but he wanted to see more. The brick mortared storefront, was riddled with ivy near the bottom that curliqued across its rough surface ending in spidery tendrils near the roof. It gave the building character, and a rather gothic appearance. Inside, the floors were solid planked oak, with wrought iron handrails leading a banister to the second story, and the spacious apartment down the corridor.
Natural light was brought inside, giving the interior a soft warm glow. Nathaniel sensed this property would be his even before walking around outside of it. It was a quick sale, because the original owners were nearly bankrupt, and were desperate for a sale. After signing some papers to place an offer on the property at 1444 St. Charles, Nate's fingers trailed over a pane in the center of what would become his shop. Its stained glass design of a colorful peacock cast a rainbow on the floor of the place.
Claire made some calls, and told Nathaniel that the furniture in the upstairs apartment was not part of the deal. "That's fine Mrs. Le Beouf, I will take this property as is." Nathaniel didn't like the furniture there anyway, but the appliances were top of the line, and very much appreciated even though he preferred to cook out. Regardless, they would be put to good use, and he could use the extra two bedrooms as an office or a fitness room.
"I'm sure the sellers will jump at your offer, Nathaniel." Claire said with a smile.
Why wouldn't they? Nathaniel thought to himself. He was good for it.With the rousing successes of his shops in L.A. and London, he had amassed a fortune. Now there was a menage a trois of businesses to run. Nathaniel Roshan was the heartbeat of the system, just as his businesses were his lifeblood. He smiled rather toothily to Claire, a light wink given her. She agreed to call him the first thing she heard about the property in the Garden District.

The call back from Claire at Prudential Realty came three days later. Nathaniel had been on edge the whole time, even to the point of getting into two fights. One in a smoke shop, and the other at the Bourbon Street Bar and Nightclub. Or maybe it was the approach of the full moon. Anyway, the news was favorable, the offer had been accepted by the sellers for $1,250,000. He was given the keys, and the deed to the property at 1444 St. Charles Avenue. Now Nate had even more to do. Utilities had to be turned on, furniture had to be purchased and a washer dryer unit as well.
And that was just the three bedroom apartment upstairs. He had to get racks and cubbies for all the goodies that would make up Seven Sins BDSM Parlor, New Orleans. So Nate would be out and about for some time that day. He had a room mate, his friend and fellow pack mate, Cullen Montoya. Partners in crime they should be referred to. Growing up in the Crimson Shadows Pack was hard because it was ruled by an Ulfric with an iron fist, and they were two troublesome Omega wolves that gave Galen gray hairs.
Even then they were close, following in each other's shadows. But time separated them for a while until they were reunited in a city like New Orleans, a place turned upside down by the approach of a Category 4 hurricane, Katrina, that would change the course of history. Having reunited, Nate asked Cullen to move in, since he didn't have a place to go to, not charging him rent because the place had been purchased with Nathaniel's earnings from the two other Seven Sins Parlors. At least his fellow wolf had a place to rest his head at night, and if he wanted employment, he could easily be hired by Nate as a security person or salesman.
It remained to be seen.
